Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Summary
The Fold 5 is Samsung’s flagship phone in Nepal. If we could choose a term that fits Fold 5, it would be “Multimedia Monster”. However, it is a bit difficult to recommend to the average Joe out there but if you absolutely need a fold, you can get this one.
Rs. 2,26,999 (12/256GB)
Rs. 2,39,999 (12/512GB)
Pros
- No gap when folded
- Premium build quality
- Insane display quality
- Amazing cameras
- Flagship performance
- Enjoyable multimedia experience
- Decent battery life
Cons
- Expensive
- The crease is still somewhat visible
- Bulky and heavy
- Tall cover display
The Fold 5 features a glass back with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and the sides of the phone are made from aluminum. There is ample protection on the glass and the frame but the phone is still IPX8 rated, like the previous generation. Due to this being a fold, it is on the bulkier side compared to regular bar phones.
Starting with the cover display first. The cover display is a 6.2″ 23.1:9 display. It’s pretty tall but the quality of the display is first-class. It’s exactly the same display used on the Fold 4 but with better protection. Unfolding the phone, you get a 7.6″ foldable dynamic AMOLED display. It’s sharp, the colors look amazing and the 120Hz refresh rate makes it a fluid display. However, the crease still exists and is visible at certain angles.
The Fold 5 features Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The phone is available with only 12GB of RAM but comes in 2 storage configurations: 256GB and 512GB. As expected, the performance of this phone is incredible. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is slightly overclocked than vanilla as well.
This phone comes with a triple camera setup at the back. It features the holy trinity of focal lengths. A wide sensor, a 123° ultrawide, and a 3X telephoto. You can also record up to 8K@30fps with the main sensor which is just insane.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specifications
- Main Display: 7.6″ Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QXGA+, 1812 x 2176, 120Hz, HDR10+, 1750 nits (peak)

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Price in Nepal: Rs. 2,26,999 (12/256GB) | Rs. 2,39,999 (12/512GB)
The 4400mAh battery capacity is unchanged from the last gen but even with a powerful chip like the SD 8 Gen 2, you can expect a full day usage out of this phone with a combined usage of both displays. The phone supports 25W wired charging but in typical Samsung fashion, there’s no adapter in the box. Furthermore, the phone also supports 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
The Samsung Fold 5 is an amazing phone. It’s a Samsung flagship in all its glory. We wouldn’t exactly call it a value-for-money phone but it does feature some insane innovations in the tech department.

The display looks sharp which makes for an enjoyable content viewing experience. It is a 1080p panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness. There is no support for HDR though and it is a dew-drop notch which can make the phone feel a bit outdated.
The Samsung A24 comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It is certainly one of the best chipsets on a smartphone under Rs. 30,000. For GPU, it uses the Mali-G57 MC2. The A24 does pretty well in benchmarks as well. The scores are similar to the average scores of other phones with Helio G99.

Samsung Galaxy A13
Samsung Galaxy A13 Summary
For a budget phone, both the front and back camera performance are impressive and captures beautiful photos. Yet, it is difficult to recommend this phone. The main reason for that is its disappointing performance.
Rs. 21,499 (4/64GB)
Rs. 25,499 (6/128GB)
Pros
- Solid camera performance
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Unsatisfactory performance
- No high refresh rate display
- Does not come with the charger
- Unreliable auto-brightness adjustment and virtual proximity sensor
The A13 also looks the same as other Galaxy A series phones; the only visual difference is that the rear cameras are not elevated like those on other A series phones. The plastic back panel of the device smoothly extends to the frame, and the power and volume buttons on the right are also color-matched.
The smartphone features a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display. This is a Full HD+ panel, but unfortunately, it is fixed at a 60Hz refresh rate — so no high refresh rate support. In terms of display quality, it is average. The display is not that bright, but it should be enough for normal use.
The processing is handled by Samsung’s entry-level Exynos 850 system-on-a-chip (SoC). Built on the 8nm LPP process, the 850 has eight cores, all ARM Cortex-A55, with a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz. If you want to multitask on this phone, it will test your patience level for good.
The Samsung Galaxy A13 features a quad-camera setup at the back comprising a 50MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. The cameras are actually not that bad although the camera app feels sluggish.
Samsung Galaxy A13 Specifications
- Display: 6.6 inches PLS LCD, 1080 x 2408 pixels, 20:9 ratio
- Chipset: Exynos 850 (8nm)
- CPU: Octa-core (8×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)
- GPU: Mali-G52
- Memory: 64GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 4GB RAM
- OS: Android 12, One UI Core 4.1
- Rear Camera: 50MP, f/1.8, (wide), PDAF
- 5MP, f/2.2, 123˚ (ultrawide), 1/5″, 1.12µm
- 2MP, f/2.4, (macro)
- 2MP, f/2.4, (depth)
- Video: 1080p@30
- Front Camera: 8MP
- Video: 1080p@30fps
- Battery: Non-removable Li-Po 5000mAh battery, Fast charging 15W
Samsung Galaxy A13 Price in Nepal: Rs. 21,499 (4/64GB) | Rs. 25,499 (6/128GB)
The battery life on the Samsung Galaxy A13 is excellent. During moderate usage, the battery can deliver more than 8 hours of screen-on time, which is great. Charging speed, on the other hand, is not that impressive compared to other phones in this price range. It supports 15W fast charging.
Honestly, Samsung used to make better budget phones than this one.

Samsung Galaxy A04s
Samsung Galaxy A04s Summary
The Samsung A04s feels underwhelming. It lacks performance and its display is only average. The main camera is good and battery life is above average.
Rs. 19,999 (4/128GB)
Pros
- Good design
- Good main camera
- Above average battery
Cons
- Poor performance
- Lacks ultrawide camera
- Only HD display
It has a unibody design as the polycarbonate back panel curves into the frame. The back panel has a textured finish which makes it less prone to smudges. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power button and it works well but is not fast enough.
The display on the A04s stays at 720p but it gets a 90Hz panel compared to the 60Hz panel of the A03s. The 6.5-inch PLS LCD panel of the A04s offers good brightness. Samsung mentions that it has a peak brightness of 400 nits.
The A04s uses the Exynos 850 chipset. The benchmarks for Exynos 850’s performance are pretty bad. And, the phone feels sluggish and laggy in normal daily usage.
Samsung A04s gets a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera. The photos from the main camera have dull colors and the darker areas are not exposed properly. Likewise, the dynamic range is pretty average and it fails to adjust the focus sometimes.
Samsung Galaxy A04s Specifications
- Display: 6.5 inches HD+ PLS LCD, 90Hz, 720 x 1600 pixels, 20:9, 400 nits (peak)
- Chipset: Exynos 850 (8nm)
- CPU: Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)
- GPU: Mali-G52
- Memory: 64GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 4GB RAM, supports microSD card
- OS: Android 12, One UI Core 4
- Rear Camera: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), PDAF
- 2MP, f/2.4, (macro)
- 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth)
- Video: 1080p@30fps
- Front Camera: 5MP, f/2.2
- Video: unspecified
- Battery: Non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery, 15W Charging
Samsung Galaxy A04s Price in Nepal: Rs. 19,999 (4/128GB)
Samsung A04s’s 5000mAh battery can provide very good battery life. With moderate usage, it can provide up to 7-8 hours of screen time. In terms of charging, it takes more than 3 and a half hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100% with the 15W charger.
The low-power Exynos 850 really kills the Samsung A04s. This phone will test your patience every time you open an app or try to do something. It’s best to completely avoid this phone just because of its sluggish performance.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G
Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Summary
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G has the same chipset and design as the more expensive Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. However, the A33 has an outdated Infinity-U notch and a 90Hz refresh rate which seems underspeced for the price.
Rs. 42,999 (8/128GB)
Pros
- Good design
- Super AMOLED
- 5000mAh battery
Cons
- 90Hz display
- 25W charging
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G features a plastic frame and back and comes in four different colours. Like the rest of the Galaxy A series devices, the rear camera island seamlessly blends with the body of the phone. The device is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance.
The display is a Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Samsung has given the Galaxy A33 an Infinity-U display and a thick chin, which makes the device look cheap and outdated compared to other phones in this price range.
Powering the smartphone is Samsung’s own Exynos 1280 chipset. It’s a new chipset with a 5G modem built on a 5nm process node. These feature the same combination of CPU and GPU found on the MediaTek Dimensity 900, which powers the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G.
The rear camera island houses a quad-camera setup comprising a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera features an OIS.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Price in Nepal: Rs. 42,999 (8/128GB)
The Samsung A33 5G comes with a 5000mAh battery. It supports 25W fast charging, but unfortunately, the fast charger is not provided in the box.
The specs of the Exynos 1280 are similar to the Snapdragon 778G and the Dimensity 900. So it should be pretty decent in everyday usage and some gaming.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Summary
It’s a good phone but the biggest problem is the Exynos 1280 as it fails to maintain smoothness even during basic tasks. Except for this, the A53 5G is a good phone.
Rs. 57,499 (8/128GB)
Pros
- 120Hz refresh rate
- AMOLED display
- Good main camera
- Nice design
Cons
- Lacks performance
- Not optimized for gaming
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is a beautiful phone with a subtle curvature on the edges. It rocks a plastic back but the material is pretty good and the finish is really good. Plus, you still get IP67 dust and water resistance.
The phone has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with 120Hz and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The 120Hz AMOLED panel is very good for the price.
It uses the same Exynos 1280 chipset which is used in a much cheaper Samsung M33 5G. In daily life usage, the phone runs smoothly but can have some lags while opening apps and switching between apps.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has a quad-camera setup including a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. The images have good detail with saturated color. The color profile seems to be a bit more saturated than expected from Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Specifications
- Display: 6.5 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED, 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz, 20:9, Corning Gorilla Glass 5
- Chipset: Exynos 1280 (5nm)

- Video: 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps
- Battery: Non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery, Fast Charging 25W
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Price in Nepal: Rs. 57,499 (8/128GB)
The Samsung A53 5G has a good battery even with a 5000mAh battery. With moderate usage, expect around 7-8 hours of screen-on time. Likewise, it does support 25W fast charging but it doesn’t ship with any kind of charger in the box.
A53 5G is a good phone but it is not necessarily an upgrade over the A52s. Plus, the A52s has a lower price tag and comes with a charger in the box. Thus, the A53 5G has to live under the shadow of its own predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G Summary
A well rounded phone but the price is a bit on the high side. That’s how the A73 feels. For this price, there are other phones that offer more value for money in 2024, like the Oneplus Nord 3.
Rs. 75,999 (8/256GB)
Pros
- 120Hz refresh rate
- AMOLED display
- Good main camera
Cons
- 25W fast charging
- The chipset could’ve been better for the price
On the Galaxy A73, Samsung has gone with a matte finish on the rear and the camera module is a mix of the S21 and Note 20 series. On the front, it gets a punch hole right in the middle of the screen and an in-display optical fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy A73 gets a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G chipset. It’s a mid-range chipset that has been optimized for gaming and fun fact, they have included a micro SD slot that can be used to expand storage up to 1TB.
In terms of the Camera, Samsung has brought some meaningful upgrades to the A73. Now, it enjoys the 108MP main sensor with OIS but the telephoto lens has been ditched. Furthermore, there’s a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with 123º FOV, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A73 brings a good upgrade in terms of chipset, display, and camera compared to its predecessor but the price is quite steep.
Samsung Galaxy A23 4G
Samsung Galaxy A23 4G Summary
This phone doesn’t feel like it offers a good value for money. So, we would not recommend buying the Samsung Galaxy A23 in 2024. The display is subpar, the performance is disappointing, and the cameras, especially the ultrawide one are underwhelming.
Rs. 25,999 (4/64GB)
Rs. 29,999 (6/128GB)
Pros
- Good design
- Great battery life
- 90Hz display
- Fast charging support
- Decent main camera
Cons
- Dim PLS TFT display
- Subpar performance
- Disappointing ultrawide camera
- OIS does not work
- Poor value for money
- Outdated waterdrop notch
- A fast charger is not provided with the device
The phone comes with a plastic back and has a camera island that has five holes and soft edges that blend with the body. It has a glossy back and attracts fingerprint smudges. The Galaxy A23 retains the 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
Samsung Galaxy A23 comes with a PLS TFT 90Hz display. Even if we overlook the fact that it isn’t an AMOLED, the display isn’t really impressive. Samsung appears to have chosen the poorest sort of LCD panel for the Galaxy A23.
The phone features a quad-camera setup on the rear. The setup includes a 50MP Quad-Bayer primary camera with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera takes good photos in daylight.
Powering the Galaxy A23 is a Snapdragon 680 4G. The phone is able to run the normal basic tasks just fine and scrolling through the apps is also smooth but the UI can feel a little sluggish.
Samsung Galaxy A23 4G Specifications
- Display: 6.6 inches TFT, 1080 x 2408 pixels, 90Hz

Samsung Galaxy A23 4G Price in Nepal: Rs. 25,999 (4/64GB) | Rs. 29,999 (6/128GB)
The battery life on the Samsung Galaxy A23 is great. Even for heavy users, the 5000mAh battery should last a day on a single charge. Unfortunately, Samsung only provides a 15W charger with the phone despite the phone supporting 25W.
The phone is outshined by competitors which offer much more value for money. Even when it was released, the competition was offering more for less so now, it’s even more difficult to recommend in 2024.
Samsung Galaxy A03 Core
Samsung Galaxy A03 Core Summary
The A03 Core is a great phone for the price! It is also the cheapest Samsung phone in Nepal. It has a great display, excellent battery life, and software that is well-optimized. It’s for someone on a tight budget who just wants a phone for their basic day-to-day tasks such as browsing, using social media, messaging, calling, online classes, and video streaming.
Rs. 12,499 (2/32GB)
Pros
- Sturdy build
- Good display
- Responsive UI
- Excellent battery
Cons
- Average camera
- Old chipset
- Slow charging
- No fingerprint sensor
The phone has a plastic body and features a textured surface on the back, which helps to give a good grip. To give it a unique touch, the rear camera portion has a diagonal striped pattern. It does not have a fingerprint sensor, which is a common cut in such phones.
The A03 Core has a huge 6.5-inch PLS TFT display. Predictably, the display has an HD+ resolution. Given the price, you’ll be happy with the display.
The Samsung Galaxy A03 Core is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A chipset. The chipset is not known for its performance. The phone runs well due to the software being optimized to run on this not-so-powerful hardware. People using this device on a daily basis will be just fine and need a few basic smart features.
For the camera, it has a single rear camera of 8MP and a 5MP front camera. When it comes to the camera quality, the photos taken with the A03 Core are pretty boring. The photos lack details and is what you’d expect of phones in this budget

The battery life is one of the strongest selling points for the Samsung Galaxy A03 Core. Its 5000mAh can serve moderate users for more than a day easily. For light users, it would not be surprising if the device did not need to be charged for even 2-3 days. But, charging the phone takes a long time as it comes with just a 7.75W charger.
If you are looking for a phone with greater performance or a better camera, then this phone might not suffice for you but for someone on a tight budget, it is still definitely a good option.

Samsung Galaxy A22

So, the Samsung Galaxy A22 is literally a Samsung M32 with a 720p screen and a 48MP sensor. It looks and feels a bit more premium than the M32.

- Decent Battery
- Good Camera Setup
Cons
- Average Gaming Performance

Samsung A22 also has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. But, it is sad to see a 720p panel instead of an FHD panel. A22’s display looks decent but you definitely would want an FHD panel at this price.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. It doesn’t have any hiccups while using multiple apps or switching between them. The phone feels smooth and slick but it doesn’t have the best gaming performance.
Samsung A22 has a quad-camera setup on the rear. It gets a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. The 48MP sensor provides good pictures with a nice dynamic range and good detail.

Samsung Galaxy A32
Samsung Galaxy A32 Summary

Rs. 34,999 (8/128GB)

Rs. 35,999 (8/128GB)
Pros
- 120Hz refresh rate
- Excellent battery
- Good main camera
- Decent performance
Cons
- Outdated design and plastic build
- TFT display
- The Ultrawide sensor could have been better
The phone has the same design as some other Samsung phones like the A22 but it has better build quality. Although the rear panel and the frame are still plastic, the rear panel is less prone to smudges than the previous iteration.
The Galaxy M33 5G has a 6.6-inch TFT display instead of an AMOLED panel. For context, the previous Samsung M32 4G offered a 1080p AMOLED panel. The TFT screen isn’t horrible though. It is a Full HD+ panel and has decent color reproduction.
Incredibly, the Samsung M33 5G has a good chipset for the price. It comes with the same Exynos 1280 chipset used on a more expensive model, the Samsung A53 5G.
The Galaxy M33 5G comes with a quad-camera setup including a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. In daylight, the main camera captures fairly decent photos with decent color and average dynamic range.

The Galaxy M33 5G has extremely good battery life thanks to the 6000mAh battery and 5nm Exynos processor. With moderate usage, expect around 9-10 hours of screen-on time.
It is a pretty boring phone with an outdated design, inferior TFT panel, and a downgraded 5MP ultrawide camera. There are better options in this segment.

Samsung has gone for the 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel on the M32 with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen quality is pretty good with vibrant color and good brightness.
Powering the Samsung Galaxy M32 is the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The phone is smooth and slick but it doesn’t have the best gaming performance.

Similarly, it has a 20MP sensor on the front for selfies. Images have good details, and the colors look as saturated as ever but the dynamic range is only average.

Samsung Galaxy M12
Samsung Galaxy M12 Summary
If you can look past the low-powered Exynos chipset, then it is a decent option with a good camera, splendid battery life, and a smooth software experience even in 2024. But, there are newer phones now which you can check out in the best phones under Rs.20,000 in Nepal.
Rs. 18,499 (4/64GB)
Rs. 22,499 (6/128GB)
Pros
- Good build

- 90Hz Panel
- Impressive battery and fast charging
Cons
- The display is not sharp
- Low-light camera performance is not good
- Not a performance-oriented phone
The rear panel has a dual-tone finish with a textured finish on the top half and a plain finish on the bottom half. M12 is a chunky phone weighing in at 221g and measuring 9.7mm thick and the front bezels are also what you’d expect from a budget phone.
Sadly, the phone comes with a PLS IPS display which is only HD+ resolution but it has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The high refresh rate gives it an impression of being a fast phone which it is certainly not.
Samsung Galaxy M12 keeps things neat and tidy when it comes to performance with the Exynos 850. Lag and stutter are noticeable when you’re navigating through the interface or switching between apps, but it does feel smooth most of the time.
There’s a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48MP ISOCELL GM2 main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. For a budget phone, the M12 takes fairly good pictures with its 48MP main sensor, especially during daytime outdoors.
