Samsung Galaxy A54 5G with Exynos 1380, Triple Camera Launched in Nepal

Samsung has launched the all-new Samsung Galaxy A54 5G in Nepal. It is the successor to last year’s Samsung A53 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is an upgrade of the Samsung A53 5G which was a decent phone. But, we were not impressed by the A53 5G last year.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G Overview

Design

Samsung A54 5G shares the same unified Galaxy design with a flat rear panel and three protruding lenses.

It is heavier than the A53 5G by 13g at 202g and is 0.1mm thicker at 8.2mm. It still uses a plastic back and a plastic frame.

While the design is plain, the selection of paint jobs is quite good. It comes in four colors: Black, White, Blue, and Peach. The phone is also IP67 certified for dust and water resistance.

On the bottom, it has two mics, a USB Type C port, and a speaker. On top, it has a sim tray slot and another mic. The volume and power button are on the right whereas the fingerprint sensor is embedded under the display.

Display

The A54 5G has a smaller 6.4-inch display compared to A53 5G’s 6.5-inch panel. However, it is an upgraded Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits max brightness under HBM.

The A54 5G does not have any kind of HDR or Dolby certification and is limited to WideVine L1 needed to view HD content. Also, it is protected by the Gorilla Glass 5.

Hardware

Underneath, the Samsung A54 5G is powered by the Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset.

It is a 5nm chipset that features a CPU consisting of 4x Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. Likewise, it uses Arm’s Mali-G68 MP5 GPU.

Along with it, the A54 5G comes with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage.

In terms of connectivity, you get an integrated 5G modem with support for both mmWave and sub-6GHz networks. The chipset also features dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS GNSS positioning.

Cameras

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP main, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro sensor.

The 50MP main sensor is Sony’s flagship IMX 766 sensor with a 1/1.56″ sensor, 1.0 μm large pixel, and OIS. The A53 5G had a 64MP main sensor.

On the front, it has a single 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor for selfies.

The A54 5G can capture videos up to 4K 30fps from both front and rear cameras.

Battery and OS

The phone gets the same 5000mAh battery and 25W fast charging as the Samsung A53 5G. But, it doesn’t come with a charger in the box.

In terms of software, it runs on One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 56,999 (8/128GB) and Rs. 59,999 (8/256GB). The phone is available for purchase at Samsung-authorized stores across the country.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is an update of the A53 5G with a new Exynos chipset and a new set of cameras. The design has been changed to make it look like just another Samsung phone.
