OnePlus Nord CE 3 with Snapdragon 782G Now Available in Nepal

Alongside the OnePlus Nord 3, the Chinese smartphone brand had also announced the OnePlus Nord CE 3 in July 2023. After eight months, the phone has finally arrived in Nepal officially.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 is an upper mid-range device that comes equipped with the Snapdragon 782G processor, 12GB RAM, 80W fast charging support, 50MP main camera, and 120Hz AMOLED display.

OnePlus Nord CE 3 Overview

Design

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G has two camera rings with metal rings on the plastic back and a diamond-shaped flash. The plastic frame has a matte finish and curved edges.

The power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device. The iconic OnePlus alert slider is missing from the Nord CE 3. Likewise, the bottom has a speaker, USB-C port, microphone, and a hybrid SIM and microSD card slot.

The Nord CE 3 comes with a dual-speaker setup. The second speaker is placed on the top side alongside another microphone and an IR blaster.

Display

The phone sports a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It has a Full HD+ resolution and has HDR10+ certification.

Moreover, it has 2160Hz PWM dimming for reducing flickering when in low brightness. The display has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, 1.47mm side bezels, and a 2.37mm chin.

Hardware

Powering the Nord CE 3 is a Snapdragon 782G chipset from Qualcomm. The chipset succeeds the popular Snapdragon 778G Plus. Built on a 6nm process technology, the chipset has an Adreno 642L GPU and an octa-core Kryo 670 670 processor.

The CPU has one Kryo 670 Prime core based on the Cortex-A78 clocked at up to 2.7GHz, three Kryo 670 Gold, also based on the Cortex-A78, at up to 2.2GHz, and four Kryo 670 Silver (Cortex-A55) ticking at up to 1.9GHz.

Qualcomm claims the CPU of the SD 782G is five percent faster than of the SD 778G Plus, while the GPU is 10% faster. Paired with the Nord CE 3 is 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

To help with thermal management, the phone has a 4,129.8 sq. mm. vapor chamber. Additionally, the phone has an X-axis linear vibration motor for haptic feedback.

Camera

The Nord CE 3 features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, which is also present on the OnePlus Nord 3. The two other cameras are an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera.

For the selfies, the phone has a 16MP front-facing camera. The selfie camera has a fixed focus and an f/2.4 aperture lens. Interesting, the front camera supports EIS.

In terms of video, the main camera can record up to 4K video at 30fps and 1080p video at 60fps. The front camera is limited to 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The phone has a dual-cell 5000mAh battery. For charging, it supports 80W SuperVOOC charging technology. OnePlus claims it can charge from 1% to 61% in 15 minutes.

Out of the box, the Nord CE 3 runs on OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13. OnePlus promises two years of software updates and three years of security updates.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 price in Nepal is 53,999 (12/256GB). The device is available for purchase in OnePlus-authorized retailers all over Nepal.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 is an upper-midrange phone that is powered by Snapdragon 782G chipset. It has a 120Hz AMOLED display, clean OxygenOS, dual speaker setup, and a capable 50MP IMX890 main camera sensor, and 80W fast charging. Unfortunately, unlike the OnePlus Nord 3, the Nord CE 3 lacks an alert slider.
