Design

The vivo V30 Lite has flat sides and a big vertical rounded rectangular camera island on the rear. The camera module features three protruding rings and an LED flash.

Both the power and volume buttons are on the right side of the device, whereas the bottom houses a SIM card tray, microphone, USB-C port, and a speaker. The phone is rated for IP54 for protection against dust and water.

The device sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. It supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and has a claimed 1200 nits of peak brightness. Additionally, the phone features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Hardware

Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 685 chipset. It is a popular budget processor, also found in the Redmi Note 13 4G. Built on a 6nm fabrication process, the LTE-only chipset comes with an octa-core CPU — four 2.8GHz Cortex-A73 and four 1.9GHz Cortex-A53.

It is similar in performance to the Snapdragon 680; it is a good everyday performer for a budget phone but has a subpar gaming performance.

Camera

The vivo V30 Lite has a dual-camera system comprising a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The lack of an ultrawide camera is disappointing. The third ring on the rear is a flicker sensor. It monitors flickering frequencies of ambient light sources to adjust exposure in real time for cleaner visual effects for both photos and videos.

On the front, you get an 8MP selfie camera. Both the front and back cameras are limited to 1080p video at 30fps. The vivo camera app also lets you shoot both the front and back video simultaneously.

Battery and OS

Fueling the smartphone is a 5000mAh battery. The phone supports one of the fastest 80W fast charging support. vivo claims it can charge the device from 0 percent to 80 percent in just half an hour.

For software, the vivo V30 Lite runs on Funtouch OS 14 out of the box based on Android 14. The Funtouch OS 14 upgraded small window feature allows up to 12 active small windows and introduces a non-interactive mini small window mode for better multitasking control. It also has new customization options for the lock screen and always-on display.
