Realme is the sub-brand of OPPO that directly rivals the Redmi and IQOO subbrands of Xiaomi and Vivo respectively. Good smartphone at an affordable price has been their key to success.

They deal with varieties of smartphones from entry-level to mid-level but they are popular for their affordable mid-range phones. Realme GT 2 Pro, Realme GT Neo 3, Realme 9 Pro+, Realme GT Neo 2, Realme 9i, Narzo 50 and Realme C35 are some of their major smartphones right now. In November 2021, Realme introduced its Narzo series in Nepal with Narzo 50A and Narzo 50i.

Pashupati Trade Link Pvt. Ltd was the official distributor of Realme phones in Nepal. But in August 2021, Realme relaunched in Nepal with the new distributor and management, Jagdamba Mobiles Pvt. Ltd. Now, the former Realme distributor looks after Dizo.

Currently, Jagdamba Mobiles are selling 14 Realme smartphones in Nepal that range from entry-level to flagship categories.

Realme GT 2 Pro

The Realme GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with LTPO 2.0 technology. The LTPO 2.0 technology allows it to support refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz.

The 10-bit panel supports HDR10+ and can reach 1400 nits of peak brightness. For protection, the screen is topped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Under the hood, the Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It is Qualcomm’s flagship chipset of 2022, built on a 4nm process technology.

The SoC has a single powerful Arm Cortex-X2 flagship-core running at up to 3.0GHz, three performance and efficiency balanced Arm Cortex-A710 big-cores running at up to 2.5GHz, and four power-efficient Arm Cortex-A510 little-cores running at up to 1.8GHz.

The phone comes with 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Furthermore, it has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.

Realme 9 4G

The Realme 9 4G comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. The display has a Full HD+ resolution and supports up to a 90Hz refresh rate. It has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor that can also monitor users’ heart rate.

The Realme 9 is powered by the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset. The processor is manufactured in the 6nm process and has a cluster of four Kryo 265 Gold CPU cores (up to 2.4GHz) and four Kryo 265 Silver CPU cores (up to 1.9GHz). And an Adreno 610 GPU.

The Realme Narzo 50 is nearly identical to the Realme 8i. The only differences are the rear finish and the support for 33W fast charging (Realme 8i supported 18W).

Realme 9 Pro+

The Realme 9 Pro Plus sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate support. It also features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor with a heart rate monitor.

The Realme 9 Pro+ comes equipped with a Dimensity 920 5G chipset with a vapour chamber cooling system. It is based on a 6nm process node and has 2×2.5GHz Cortex-A78 and 6×2.0GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores. For GPU, it has Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.

The processor is paired with 6/8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Moreover, the smartphone features X-axis linear motor and a dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.

A triple camera setup can be seen on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera sensor with OIS. The other two cameras are an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro sensor.

Fueling the device is a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 60W fast charging using the provided SuperDart charger. In terms of software, the smartphone runs on Realme UI 3.0 on top of Android 12.

The Realme 9 Pro+ has a great design and features a flagship camera sensor with optical image stabilization. It comes with a capable processor and an AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate—which would have been better if it supported up to 120Hz.

The device also comes with a stereo speaker setup, and a good x-axis linear vibration motor, and runs on Android 12. However, it does not support a microSD card anymore.

Realme 9i

Realme 9i has a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

Realme decided to go with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, the same chipset that is powering the Redmi Note 11, for the Realme 9i. It comes with 4×2.4GHz Kryo 265 Gold (Arm Cortex-A73) CPU cores, 4×1.9GHz Kryo 265 Silver (Arm Cortex-A53) CPU cores, and an Adreno 610 GPU.

The phone has 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Additionally, it features a dual speaker setup.

The Realme 9i has a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP B&W camera. The punch-hole on the front houses a 16MP front camera.

The Realme 9i comes with a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging support. In terms of the OS, it comes with Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Realme 9i does not bring a lot of good upgrades over Realme 8i. It has an inferior chipset and a 90Hz refresh rate display instead of a 120Hz one. It still does not offer an ultra-wide-angle camera, but two useless macro and B&W depth cameras.

However, it does have a more efficient chipset and 33W fast charging support. It also now has stereo speakers.

Realme C25Y

The Realme C25Y has a plastic body with a textured finish on the back. The phone has a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display.

It comes with a Unisoc T610 chipset, which has two Arm Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, six Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and Arm Mali-G52 GPU. For the memory, the smartphone has 4GB RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage.

The Realme C25Y features a triple rear camera comprising a 50MP main camera, a 2MP B&W camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera.

It comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Moreover, it runs on Realme R Edition UI based on Android 11 OS.

The Realme C25Y is another budget phone from Realme. It has a familiar design that is similar to the company’s other C series phones. The phone is equipped with an entry-level Unisoc chipset and features a typical HD+ display.

Realme Narzo 50A

As with other phones in this price range, the phone’s back is made of polycarbonate. It has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a brightness of up to 570 nits in HBM. However, the resolution here is only HD+.

The Realme Narzo 50A is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, which has eight CPU cores with two Arm Cortex-A75 cores (2.0GHz) and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores (1.8GGHz), and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It comes in two memory configurations: 64GB internal storage and another with 128GB internal storage, both with 4GB RAM.

The phone features three rear cameras, comprising a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The 8MP front-facing camera is inside a waterdrop notch on the front. The Realme Narzo 50A has a 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Furthermore, it runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top.

The Realme Narzo 50A is a decent lower-midrange phone. However, Realme should have included an FHD+ display and a higher refresh rate display, all of which are available in the competition, such as Redmi 10 Prime.

Realme Narzo 50i

The Realme Narzo 50i has a polycarbonate rear with a diagonal striped texture in half of it. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display, which has a typical brightness of around 400 nits.

Realme mentions the Narzo 50i is powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 1.6GHz and an IMG8322 GPU. The company has not disclosed the actual name of the processor, however, the provided information suggests it’s a Unisoc SC9863A chipset.

The phone is available with either 2GB RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It has a single 8MP rear camera with a flash that can shoot video up to 1080p at 30fps. On the front, it sports a 5MP selfie camera.

The Realme Narzo 50i comes with a huge 5000mAh battery and 10W charger. For the OS, it runs on Realme UI Go Edition based on Android 11.

The Realme Narzo 50i is an affordable entry-level smartphone with mediocre hardware running on the Realme UI Go Edition, which is a stripped-down version of the main Realme UI. This phone just has basic features and also has no fingerprint sensor.

Realme GT Neo 2

The front and rear of the Realme GT Neo 2 are both made of glass. We have a textured power button on the right, and two dedicated buttons for volume up and down are on the left.  The phone does not offer a micro SD card slot or a headphone jack.

Realme GT Neo 2 is designed for performance with an almost flagship-level Snapdragon 870 chipset. Gamers and heavy users will appreciate the featured 120Hz bright AMOLED screen and 65W fast charging support.

Realme 8i

The Realme 8i comes in a very shiny and glossy back finish, which attracts fingerprint smudges quickly. The device is 8.4mm thick and weighs 194g.

Realme C21Y

The design of the Realme C21Y is the same as the Realme C21. C21Y also has a plastic frame and back with the same pattern as the Realme C21. Realme C21Y weighs 200g and measures 9.1mm thickness. These minor weight and dimension variations are the only differences we see between the C21 and C21Y designs.

The Realme C21Y has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ display. The major difference between the Realme C21 and Realme C21Y is the chipset these phones feature. Realme C21Y is using Unisoc T610 instead of Helio G35.

T610 has an octa-core CPU consisting of two high-performance Arm Cortex-A75 cores and six high-efficiency Arm Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali G52 GPU. The chipset is paired with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage.

Realme C21Y has a triple-rear camera setup which includes a 13MP main camera. On the front, it has a 5MP camera. C21Y has a 5000mAh battery. The phone does support reverse charging but not fast charging. Furthermore, the phone runs on Realme UI based on Android 10.

Realme C21Y is another addition to Realme’s entry-level C series phone. It is identical to the Realme C20 except for the chipset. The price of Realme C21Y and Realme C21 is the same in India, whereas in Nepal, C21Y costs Rs. 100 more.

Realme C11 2021

Realme C11 2021 has a plastic back with the same design as the Realme C11. It has that square camera module on the back which looks quite trendy. But remember, that it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor on the back or anywhere for that matter.

On the front, Realme C11 2021 gets a 6.5 inches IPS LCD panel with a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels.

On the inside, Realme C11 2021 is powered by a Unisoc SC9863 chipset. It is a 28nm chipset with two A55 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and six A55 cores clocked at 1.2GHz. For GPU, it gets the PowerVR GE8322.

For cameras, Realme C11 2021 flaunts a single 8MP camera on the rear which is a downgrade from the dual-camera setup of the C11. Whereas, there’s a 5MP f/2.2 camera on the front for selfies.

Realme C11 2021 has a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging. Furthermore, it runs on Go Edition of Android 10 with Realme UI on top.

Realme C11 2021 is a budget phone but it looks like a downgrade of the Realme C11. It is now using a less efficient Unisoc chipset and a downgraded single 8MP main sensor.

Thoughts on Realme Mobiles Price in Nepal

Realme has a good range of smartphones from entry-level to mid-range. Recently, the company also introduced its Narzo series in Nepal. All of their phones provide good value. However, the recently launched Realme GT Neo 3 felt quite expensive, especially when compared to its predecessor GT Neo 2.

There are only a handful number of brands that can compete with Realme in terms of price-to-performance ratio. Most of the Realme mobiles price in Nepal are aggressive and Xiaomi is the only other brand that offers such aggressive pricing in Nepal.
