Samsung Galaxy A05s with Snapdragon 680 Launched in Nepal

Samsung is very active in the smartphone world of Nepal. Before the announcement of the next S-series phones, Samsung announced the A05 and the A05s in September 2023. After months of its announcement, the Samsung Galaxy A05s has finally arrived in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy A05s Overview

Design

The Samsung Galaxy A05s follows the design philosophy of their S-series phones, just like all other phones released in 2023. The A05s has three camera rings and a flash on the plastic back which has a frosted finish to it and looks super clean.

The phone features a headphone jack and brings a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Display

The phone comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution display that refreshes at 90Hz. Samsung does make incredible panels so despite this being a PLS LCD panel, hopefully, it is of decent quality.

You get a waterdrop notch for the front camera and the bezels surrounding the phone look uniform in size, except for the chin with a large bezel.

Hardware

Under the hood of this phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 4G chipset. It is an entry-level octa-core processor (4×2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver) with the Adreno 610 to handle the graphical side of things.

The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage option. There is also a dedicated micro SD slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion.

Camera

The phone features a triple camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP f1.8 camera and the secondary is a 2MP macro sensor, and you also get a 2MP depth sensor. You can shoot videos up to 1080p@60fps on the phone.

The front has a 13MP f2.0 camera and can shoot up to 1080p@30fps videos which is pretty good to see.

Battery and OS

The phone has a large 5000mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging.

Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 13 and should get 4 years of updates.

Samsung Galaxy A05s price in Nepal is Rs. 21,999 (4/128GB) and Rs. 23,999 (6/128GB). The phone normally does not come with a charger in the box, but Samsung is providing a 25W fast charger. You can buy the phone at retail stores across the country.
