Honor 90 with 200MP Camera & OLED Display Available for Purchase in Nepal

The pre-order period for the Honor 90 series has ended in Nepal and is now available for purchase at retail stores across the country. The series was introduced in Nepal on August 9, 2023, alongside the Honor Earbuds X5 and the Honor Watch 4.

The series consists of three smartphones: Honor 90, Honor 90 Pro, and Honor 90 Lite. The Honor 90 and 90 Pro made their debut in late May in China. There hasn’t been any news regarding the 90 Pro but the Honor 90 Lite debuted with the Honor 90 in Nepal. In this article, we will focus on the Honor 90 and discuss its specifications and features.

The Honor 90 is a mid-range smartphone. It has a 200MP main camera, a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED screen, and is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

Honor 90 Overview

Design

The Honor 90 features two large rear camera modules positioned vertically, with each module being elliptical in shape and enclosed within a circular rim.

The phone comes in four different color options: Midnight Black, Emerald Green, Diamond Silver, and Peacock Blue.

The phone has a thickness of just 7.8mm and weighs 183g, making it notably slim and lightweight.

Display

The front has a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a resolution of 1200 x 2664 pixels. It is a 10-bit panel and supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1600nits. 

Furthermore, the display boasts 3840Hz PWM dimming technology for reducing eye fatigue during low brightness levels. The PWM dimming technology reduces the flickering of the display which is the main cause of eye strain when using the phone.

The display is complemented by slim bezels and a punch-hole design for the selfie camera.

Hardware

The Honor 90 is equipped with an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The single prime Arm Cortex-A710 CPU core has been boosted from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz.

The remaining three performance Arm Cortex-A710 cores are clocked at 2.36GHz, while the efficient Arm Cortex-A510 cores run at 1.8GHz. The graphics are handled by Adreno 644.

Honor is using 4483 sq. mm. of vapor chamber for cooling the device. Moreover, the smartphone is available with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.

Camera

The Honor 90 shares the same new camera setup as the Honor 90 Pro, except that the telephoto camera is replaced with a basic 2MP depth sensor.

The primary camera features the new 1/1.4-inch 200MP camera sensor with an f/1.9 aperture lens. Additionally, there is a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Unfortunately, the phone lacks OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support.

For selfies, the phone has a 50MP front-facing camera. Both the front and back camera can shoot up to 4K video at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The smartphone includes a 5000mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging.

The Honor 90 runs on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13.

Honor 90 Price in Nepal and Availability

Honor 90 price in Nepal is Rs. 58,990 (12/256GB) and Rs. 63,990 (12/512GB). Customers can purchase the phone through authorized Honor stores or online at Hukut or Daraz. You can also take advantage of the 0% EMI option.
