realme P4x Lands in Nepal: Most Affordable Smartphone with 8,000mAh Battery

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The realme P4x price in Nepal is Rs. 33,999 (4/128GB).
  • It’s powered by a massive 8,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging.
  • The phone features a UNISOC T7250 chipset that’s cooled with a 11124mm² Cooling System.

The P series from realme is still new in the Nepali market, considering it only entered Nepal in mid-2026 with the P3 series. But even with such a late entry, the P3 phones did exceptionally well. In fact, they still do. Now it’s time for the successor, the P4 series, to take over.

The P4 series has four phones in its lineup: the P4, P4 Lite, P4x, and P4 Power. We’ve already covered three of them, now it’s time for the P4x.

Among all the P4 phones we’ve covered so far, there has yet to be one that outshines the P3 series in terms of value for money. Let’s see if the P4x is any different.

The phone launched in Nepal at the end of October, alongside the P4 and the P4 Lite. Among the three, the P4x is the middle child.

Usually, the middle child is the one most ignored, squeezed between the star older sibling and the cute baby of the family. So let’s see if the second cheapest P4 phone is worth your attention, or if it’s destined to be forgotten.

realme P4x Overview

At first glance, the P4x looks much like its bigger sibling, the P4, with its Aero Racing design running from top to bottom on the right side of the phone. It comes in two color variants, Rally White and Phantom Blue. The Phantom Blue looks much like the P4, while the Rally White goes for a more vibrant look, with black, white, and orange stripes.

The camera module is also a lot cleaner on the P4x, with a pill-shaped design, much like a Samsung phone. But unlike a Samsung phone, there’s a ring light with 9 color options.

The only complaint I have with the design is how thick it is. At 8.78mm, it’s thicker than even the latest iPhone Pro, which sits at 8.75mm. So you’ll definitely feel like you’re carrying a power bank in your pocket.

But with an 8,000mAh Li-ion battery, I guess you can’t really avoid that power bank feeling. And with support for 10W reverse charging, the P4x can even act like one.

Charging won’t be a pain either, since it supports 45W wired charging. Though 45W is quite decent for the price, with a battery this big, it might still take a while to reach 100%.

Heading on to the display, it’s a pretty basic setup: a 6.8-inch IPS panel with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s nothing new, and we’ve seen similar setups countless times on budget smartphones. On the bright side, realme advertises ArmorShell protection and military-grade shock resistance, though it doesn’t say which glass protects the panel.

Performance isn’t unique either. It runs a UNISOC T7250, a fairly entry-level 4G chipset. But given the massive battery, I can sort of understand why the phone costs north of Rs. 30,000. If you’re willing to compromise on battery and want better performance, the Ai+ Nova 2 makes a lot more sense. On the memory front, the phone gets 4GB RAM paired with 128GB storage.

What I find interesting is that realme even gave it an 11,124mm² cooling system to help manage heat. That should help dissipate heat more effectively and keep temperatures under control during extended use. However, better cooling won’t change the fact that it runs an entry-level chipset.

realme also claims it can run games at an average of 60FPS for nearly 10 hours of continuous gameplay. But take that with a grain of salt, considering the chipset isn’t that powerful.

The camera setup is a 50MP main camera paired with a 5MP selfie shooter. We’ve seen similar setups on budget phones. It’s not that impressive, but not poor either. Lastly, the phone runs Android 16 with realme UI 7.0 on top.

The most impressive part about the P4x is its battery. It’s the cheapest 8,000mAh phone in Nepal right now, but it comes with compromises, like an entry-level SoC.

If endurance is your priority, that 8,000mAh battery will be a godsend. But if you want a more balanced phone, options like the Ai+ Nova 2, Infinix Hot 70, or Redmi 17 are much better choices. And if you’d rather have something more reliable, the Samsung Galaxy A07 makes more sense.
