Samsung Galaxy A34 5G Overview

Design

Samsung A34 5G shares the same design as the A54 5G with a plastic back and plastic frame. The individual camera lens design also stays the same. Unfortunately, the drop notch is here to stay as well.

A34 5G is bigger than the A54 5G but it is slightly light at 199 g compared to 202g. But, it has the same thickness as A54 at 8.2mm.

Similarly, the A34 5G also comes in four color choices: Lime, Graphite, Violet, and Silver. The phone is also IP67 certified for dust and water resistance.

On the bottom, it has two mics, a USB Type C port, and a speaker. On top, it has a sim tray slot and another mic. The volume and power button are on the right whereas the fingerprint sensor is embedded under the display.

Display

The A34 5G has a big 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel compared to the 6.4-inch panel of the A33 5G. Last year’s A33 5G only had a 90Hz panel but this one boasts a 120Hz refresh rate.

Along with that, the new AMOLED panel also has 1000 nits max brightness under HBM. Furthermore, it is protected by the Gorilla Glass 5 as well.

Hardware

The A33 5G used the Exynos 1280 chipset but the A34 5G is using MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080 chipset.

It is a 6nm chipset that features a CPU consisting of 2x Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. Likewise, it uses Arm’s Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.

Along with it, the A34 5G comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage in Nepal. Furthermore, it has Bluetooth v5.3, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS positioning.

Cameras

Like the A54 5G, the A34 5G also has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48MP main, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro sensor. Samsung has ditched the 2MP depth sensor which was used on the A33 5G.
