Redmi Note 10

For the Redmi Note 10, Xiaomi has gone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 chipset. In terms of memory, it comes in three configurations: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, 6/128GB.

In terms of camera, Redmi Note 10 has a main 48MP sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP camera.

Redmi Note 10 comes with a bigger 5000mAh battery along with 33W Fast Charging. Furthermore, it runs on MIUI 12 on top of Android 11.

Without a doubt, Redmi Note 10 is the best phone under Rs. 25,000. It has an AMOLED display, a capable chipset, and a big battery. A high refresh rate display would have made this device untouchable.

Redmi 9 Power

Redmi 9 Power comes with a different design language than the likes of Redmi 9. The camera module is now shifted to the left and is enclosed in a rectangular camera bump. The fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the side.

The display used on the Redmi 9 Power is identical to that of the Redmi 9 Prime. It has a 6.53 inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

Redmi 9 Power

Xiaomi has opted to go for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 chipset on the Redmi 9 Power. Along with that, it comes in three memory configurations: 64GB/4GB RAM, 128GB/4GB RAM, and 128GB/6GB RAM.

The same chipset is also used on POCO M3. It also comes with Hi-Res audio along with a stereo speaker setup. And the speakers are supposed to feature an auto-cleaning mechanism.

Redmi 9 Power has a triple camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP Ultrawide angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.

Furthermore, it runs on MIUI 12 on top of Android 10.

Redmi 9 Power is kind of a mix between Redmi 9 and POCO M3. If you want a good camera setup under Rs. 20,000 then you should go for this. But, if you need a better gaming performance, then Redmi 9 Prime will be a better option.

Redmi 9C

Redmi 9C is made from plastic with a plastic back and plastic frame. The back features a textured design that prevents fingerprints. The camera module on the rear looks like what we see on the Realme C11. It has a triple camera setup on the rear flanked by a fingerprint sensor.

On the front, it has a teardrop notch design and comes with a 6.53 inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It’s an HD+ display with a claimed brightness of 400 nits.

Redmi 9C
Redmi 9C

On the inside, Redmi 9C is powered by a Mediatek Helio G35 chipset. It has an Octa-core 2.3 GHz CPU with 8 Cortex-A53 cores. And, it has a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Along with it, it has 2/3/4GB RAM and 32/64/128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, respectively.

Redmi 9C comes with a triple camera setup on the rear. It has a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it comes with a 5MP depth sensor.

Redmi 9C has a 5000 mAh battery which is the same as the Redmi 9A. It doesn’t support fast charging and comes with a 10W charging.

Redmi 9C is a good upgrade to the Redmi 9A as it gets a fingerprint sensor and a better chipset. Along with that, it has a triple camera setup. While I don’t think the 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro sensor are gonna be too useful, it certainly adds more value. But what I like is the upgraded chipset and availability of the 64GB and 128GB variants.

Redmi 9C Specifications

  • Body: 164.9 x 77 x 9 mm, 196 g, Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by)

Redmi 9A

Redmi 9A comes in a new polished look with a textured finish on the back. It’s a plastic back so it won’t retain fingerprints. It looks like the camera module from Redmi 8A has been shifted to the right side.

Redmi 9A uses the new Mediatek Helio G25 chipset. It’s a 12nm chipset with Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and PowerVR GE8320 (650 MHz) GPU.

Then, it has 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Helio G25 is definitely the best you can get for the price.

In terms of camera, Redmi 9A has a 13MP main sensor on the rear. On the front, it has a 5MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Moving on it runs on MIUI 12 on top of Android 10.

Redmi 9A doesn’t feel like an upgrade to the Redmi 8A. But, the thing is, it is more affordable than the Redmi 8A. So, that makes Redmi 9A a very good entry-level budget phone.

Redmi Note 9

The Note 9 series fancies a new minimalistic design change. A Square hump in the middle of a glass canvas i.e. the Aura Balance Design (as Xiaomi Likes to call it) is a modest design change to the Redmi family.

On the front, the Redmi Note 9 flaunts a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Panel that stretches up to 83% percent; credits to the minimalistic punch-hole cutout.

Redmi Note 9

Xiaomi has opted to go with MediaTek on the Redmi Note 9 instead of the Snapdragon which is used on its Pro version. It uses MediaTek’s Helio G85 and is the first phone to use this chipset.

Helio G85 is a top-notch chipset and it will have flawless performance but Realme 6 uses Helio G90T and should have a similar price to Redmi Note 9 when it launches.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 gets a quad-camera setup on the rear with a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 main sensor. Whereas the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2 main sensor.

Except for this, Redmi Note 9 has an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP sensor for selfies.

Moving on the Redmi Note 9 runs on Android 10 and MIUI 11. And it is eligible for future updates as well.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a good device for Rs. 22,999. However, Samsung’s new M21 is a very good phone for the price. It provides the latest camera sensor and has good performance. Though, Redmi Note 9 edges M21 slightly in terms of performance. M21 is a very good alternative. But you will get more storage on the Redmi Note 9 for a similar price.

Redmi Note 9 Pro

Redmi Note 9 Pro is the update to the Note 8 series. It comes with a new design language as there’s a square hump on the glass back for the camera module. Further, Note 9 Pro provides a 6.67 inch IPS LCD punch-hole display.

Redmi Note 9 Pro rocks a Snapdragon 720G chipset which performs similar to Redmi Note 8 Pro’s Mediatek Helio G90T chipset. Snapdragon 720G has a better CPU score than G90T but the G90T pulls ahead in terms of GPU scores. But Snapdragon 720G is more efficient than the G90T as it’s built-in an 8nm process whilst G90T is built in the 12nm process.

Moving on the Redmi Note 9 Pro runs on Android 10 and MIUI 11. And it is eligible for future updates as well.

The 6/128GB variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro was an excellent device for Rs. 29,999 at the time. However, the equally-priced Redmi Note 8 Pro was favored more by gamers since the Note 8 Pro had the Helio G90T which was better for gaming. Also, Note 8 Pro’s 64MP sensor was better than the 48MP GM2 sensor on the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Today, only the 4/128GB variant is available on the market.

But I do prefer the new design of the Note 9 Pro and it comes with an upgraded battery as well. Go for Redmi Note 9 Pro if you don’t care about the small difference in camera and gaming performance compared to Redmi Note 8 Pro.
