Redmi 13C Overview

Design

The Redmi 13C gets a new sleek, boxy design that looks more modern. The back has two protruding camera circles arranged vertically inside a curved rectangle.

The phone is available in clover green, navy blue, and midnight black. The power and power buttons are located on the right, while the left side has a SIM card tray. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

This time, Xiaomi has finally ditched the Micro-USB port for the better USB-C port, which is located on the bottom side alongside the speaker and a microphone.

Display

The Redmi 13C has an upgraded display. The 6.74-inch IPS LCD display still has an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch, but it finally now gets a 90Hz refresh rate support.

Hardware

The phone is equipped with the same Helio G85 chipset that powered the Redmi 12C. However, given the great performance of the Helio G85 for an entry-level phone, the Redmi 13C should have an impressive price-to-performance ratio.

The phone comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. For more storage, the phone also includes a dedicated micro SD slot.

Camera

The back has three cameras consisting of a 50MP main camera. The other two are a gimmicky 2MP macro camera and a depth sensor.

The front has an 8MP selfie camera. The phone is capable of shooting up to 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The battery is the standard 5000mAh battery. However, the phone finally supports fast charging. It supports 18W charging, up from just a mere 10W. But only 10W is provided in the box.

As for the software, the phone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
