Samsung Galaxy A35 5G with Exynos 1380 Launched in Nepal

Samsung is expanding its Galaxy A series of smartphones with the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G. It is a refresh of the Samsung Galaxy A34 and has launched in Nepal as well.

Samsung’s new A35 5G has incremental design improvements over the A34. The device now has a punch-hole cutout for the camera rather than a waterdrop notch, as well as slightly thinner bezels surrounding the display. The rear design, however, is largely identical to the Galaxy A34, including the camera arrangement and style.

Performance-wise, the A35 5G comes with an Exynos 1380 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 or 256 GB of storage. Despite its advanced features, Galaxy A35 5G reflects Samsung’s commitment to providing high-end technology at a competitive price point.

Samsung Galaxy A35 5G Overview

Design

The design of the Galaxy A35 5G remains largely unchanged from its predecessor, with the individual camera lenses and flash retaining their appearance. The phone now comes with a glass back instead of plastic and the front display has been upgraded from a waterdrop notch to a punch-hole cutout.

The Galaxy A35 5G features a flat frame, giving it a more boxy appearance. At the bottom, you’ll find the speaker and a USB Type-C port for charging. As for biometrics, the fingerprint sensor is embedded under the display. The device is certified IP67 water and dust-resistant.

Display

The Galaxy A35 5G comes with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the camera. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz which makes for smoother animation and navigation.

The display has a maximum brightness of 1000nits in HBM under direct sunlight. This mode is completely controlled by software and cannot be changed manually. For protection, the display comes with Gorilla Glass Victus+.

Hardware

The A35 5G uses Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 5nm chipset for processing. It has 4x 2.4GHz Cortex-A78 performance cores and 4x 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. A Mali-G68 GPU handles all the graphics.

In terms of memory options, the Galaxy A35 5G comes in two variants: a 128 GB model and a 256 GB model, both having 8 GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy A35 also comes with Samsung Knox Vault, which is a hardware-based tamper-resistant environment that holds sensitive data. It physically isolates PINs, passwords, biometrics, and security-critical keys away from the rest and stores them in the secure memory.

Cameras

The A35 5G has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro sensor. The main sensor is optically stabilized and can shoot videos up to 4K resolution at 30fps.

On the front is a 13MP selfie camera that can record videos up to 4K at 30fps as well.

Battery and OS

The Samsung Galaxy A35 5G gets the same 5000mAh battery as its predecessor which supports charging up to 25W. Each purchase comes with a genuine free 25W Samsung Adapter, ensuring you’re always powered up.

The device comes with Android 14 out of the box with One UI 6.1 skin applied on top. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy A35 will receive up to four iterations of Android OS updates, alongside five years of security updates.

The Samsung Galaxy A35 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 46,999 for the (8/128GB) and Rs. 51,999 (8/256GB). The device is available for purchase from Samsung authorized retailers and online sellers across Nepal.

The Samsung Galaxy A35 5G brings incremental changes to the device design-wise. However, the phone has received an updated display and a bump in performance. The phone also comes with glass on both the back and front to give it a premium feel.
