Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra price in Nepal is Rs. 1,79,999 (12/256GB) and Rs. 1,89,999 (12/512GB) for a limited time period after a cashback of Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively.

The S23 Ultra is probably the least obvious upgrade in the history of Samsung flagship phones. It looks like the S23 Ultra is almost identical to the S22 Ultra but that’s not the case.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Overview

Design

This is the first time that Samsung’s flagship has not received a design change from the previous iteration. It has the same design as the Samsung S22 Ultra.

It comes in three new colors: Green, Lavender, and Cream. You still get the old Phantom Black color option as well. Except for the new colors, S23 Ultra gets upgraded Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front and back.

Latest Mobile Prices

Likewise, Samsung brings the same Armor Aluminum frame that we saw on the S22 Ultra and it comes with IP68 dust and water resistance. The built-in Spen stylus is also unchanged.

Display

The display also remains the same in terms of hardware. It is the same 6.8-inch Dynamic ALMOED 2X panel with a screen resolution of 1440×3088 pixels.

The peak brightness remains the same at 1750 nits and the display can adaptively refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz.

It does get an addition in terms of software though. The smarter Vision Booster can adjust the color tone and contrast of the display under three different lighting conditions.

Hardware

This time around Samsung has decided to only use the Snapdragon chipset in their flagship phone. Not only that, the Galaxy S23 Ultra runs a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the S23 Ultra has a Cortex-X3 core (Prime core), running up to 3.36GHz, up from the usual maximum 3.2GHz. Similarly, the Adreno 740 GPU is clocked at 719MHz instead of 680MHz.

As it is a custom-tailored version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Samsung’s flagship phone, Samsung calls it Snapdargon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.

As for RAM and Storage, it comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage in Nepal.

Camera

The other noticeable improvement is the main camera sensor. It is using Samsung’s own 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor. This sensor is adaptive in the sense that it can combine 16 pixels into 1 for a 12MP final resolution with a 2.4µm pixel size. Or it can combine 4 pixels into 1 that gives you a 50MP shot.

The other camera sensors remain the same with two telephoto lenses: a 10MP periscope lens with 10X optical zoom and 10MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom. And lastly, it has a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera with autofocus.

The front camera has been dropped from 50MP to 12MP but it is supposed to give better outputs.

While the S22 Ultra was limited to 8K 24fps video recording but the S23 Ultra can record at smoother 30fps with wider FOV.

The S23 Ultra also brings a new Astro Hyperlase video mode. The new 200MP sensor has improved video stabilization thanks to Adaptive VDIS which analyzes and subdivides movements and recognizes lighting conditions. Likewise, the new sensor has a 2x wider OIS angle that compensates for around 3° compared to the 1.5° of the S22 Ultra.

Battery and Others

The battery capacity of the Galaxy S23 Ultra remains the same as S22 Ultra at 5000mAh with the same 45W max charging speed. Samsung claims that S23 Ultra can reach 65% within 30 mins with the supported 45W charger.

Moreover, it comes with Samsung’s latest One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13. As expected, Samsung will provide at least 4 years of Android updates.
