VIVO S1

The design in the phone is quite smooth, unique and has a shimmery bluish gradient in the center of the back in the Ice Black Version.

The display is 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The screen is fully bezel-less with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with a water-drop cut out at the front for the 25MP Front camera.

It comes with a MediaTek Helio P65 Octa-core processor and comes in 6GB + 128GB & 4GB + 128GB variant which can be expanded up to 256GB. The phone currently runs on FunTouch OS based on Android 9. The phone has a huge battery capacity of 4,500mAh with 18W Fast Charging. For security, the phone contains an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock which is pretty fast and accurate.

The rear is a triple camera setup with 16MP primary camera with f 1.78, 8MP Ultra-Wide Camera with f 2.2 and a 5MP depth sensor with f 2.4. The front has a 32MP camera for selfies with f 2.0 which is the main highlighting feature of the phone. The phone does support dual SIM setup.

A good alternative if you don’t want to go for the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Galaxy M40.

VIVO Y17

Vivo Y17 comes with 6.35-inch HD+ IPS LCD display. Not getting an FHD+ screen at the lower midrange segment is normal.

Inside, the phone packs an Helio P35 processor. This processor performs similarly to the Snapdragon 660. Snapdragon 660 is the same processor found on the Mi A2. This processor is combined here with 4GB of RAM.

Vivo Y17 has a 13 MP primary lens which is combined with an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. This looks like a winning setup in my eyes.

Then, we have to talk about the battery. Vivo Y17 packs a massive 5000 mAh battery. This combined with the lower-res screen means, you should get at least two days of moderate use with this phone.

For the price MI A3, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Samsung m30s are better options.

Vivo Y17 Key Specifications

  • Display: 6.35 inches IPS LCD
  • Resolution: 720 x 1544 pixels (~268 ppi density)
  • Chipset: Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm)

  • Battery: Non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery

Vivo Y17 Price in Nepal: Rs. 27,290

Pros Cons
Long-lasting battery Mediocre chipset
Decent Design Low-res display

VIVO Y15

The VIVO Y15(2019) features a 6.35” Halo FullView Display at 720p resolution. It’s the same as VIVO Y17 and frankly, it’s not the best display. Under the hood, the VIVO Y15 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 processor and is backed by 4/64GB storage and a huge 5000mAh battery. This device may not be the best in terms of performance but it should definitely be more power-efficient.

The phone runs on FunTouch 9 on top of Android 9. The rear features a triple camera setup with 13MP as main, 8MP as ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor. The front consists of a 16MP lens and is well capable of face-unlock as well.  If the cameras are similar to that of Y17, you won’t be disappointed with this camera either.

Vivo Y15 is only decent, so if you don’t want a triple camera setup then you could go for Redmi Note 7 pro that will also give you FHD display. Else you can get the Mi A3 with HD display but a triple camera setup with IMX 586 sensor.

Vivo Y15 Specifications

  • Display: 6.35 inches IPS LCD(Halo FullView Display), 268 pixels per inch (PPI)
  • Resolution: 720×1544 pixels
  • Processor: MediaTek Helio P22, 12nm design and clock speeds of up to 2.0GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Front Camera: Single, 16 MP
  • Rear Camera: Triple-setup, 13 MP primary + 8 MP ultra-wide + 2 MP depth sensor
  • OS: Android v9.0 (Pie) with FunTouch 9
  • Storage: 64 GB internal
  • Battery: 5000 mAh

Vivo Y15 Price in Nepal: Rs. 24,190

Pros Cons
Decent Design low res display
Large Battery Only average performance
Triple Camera

VIVO Y12

The VIVO Y12 stands at 6.32” with an HD+ IPS LCD Display and still comes with a 720p panel.  It’s the same as most mid-range phones in its categories like Redmi Note 7, Samsung Galaxy A30. Not the best display but still considerable for a phone at this price.

Moving on, it consists of a MediaTek Helio P22 Processor, a more camera-oriented processor known for its superior camera capabilities. However, this is a more power-efficient processor so don’t expect outstanding gaming performance. For now, the phone is only available in the 3/64GB variant.

The main Highlighting feature of this phone for me is the 5000mAh battery. Considering the power-efficient processor, this massive battery could even last 2 days with medium usage. Not having to charge the phone for almost two days is a really cool feature that many people including myself would appreciate.

Now comes the other highlighting feature, the triple camera setup. This VIVO Y12 has a 13MP primary lens combined with an 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP depth sensor. It’s the same as expensive VIVO Y15 and Y17 which was a good camera as far as I remember. And since the processor is also camera-oriented, the camera is definitely something to look out for. The 8MP front camera is a differentiating factor from its older siblings, which frankly isn’t enough.

If the ultrawide lens is not your priority, then go for the Redmi Note 7 which is a far better performer. Or add up some money and go for the Mi A3.

VIVO Y12 Key Specifications

Vivo Y90

It has a 6.22-Inch HD+ Display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 Pixels. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 processor paired with 2GB RAM / 32GB ROM and a micro SD card which can expand the storage to 256GB. The dual SIM runs on FunTouch OS 4.5 based on 8.1 Oreo. The Rear consists of an 8MP camera with f2.0 aperture and the front contain a 5MP camera with f1.8 aperture.

The phone is packed with a 4030mAh battery which should last the day easily with medium usage. For connectivity, the phone has WIFI 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5, a micro USB port, USB OTG and finally a headphone jack.

Redmi 7A, Samsung A10, Samsung M10 are better phones for the price.

VIVO Y90 Key Specifications

Vivo Y91C

At the front, Vivo Y91c has an HD+ 6.22 inch IPS LCD display. There’s a tiny teardrop-shaped notch at the top. Inside, the phone is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12 nm). This processor is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage. In terms of camera, Vivo Y91c sports a single 12MP f/2.2 primary sensor at the back. There’s a small 8 MP f/1.8 selfie camera hiding beneath the notch at the front. There’s no fingerprint sensor anywhere to be seen here. Inside this phone is a massive 4030 mAh battery. This is the same sized battery as the Vivo Y95. Like the Y95, Vivo has chosen to fit this phone with a micro USB port which is just outrageous in 2019.

It’s a decent phone but the 16GB internal storage is not enough. Thus, the Redmi 7 is a much better phone for the price.

Vivo Y91c Key Specifications

  • Display: 6.22-inch IPS LCD (720*1520)
  • Chipset: Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12 nm)

Vivo Y91c Price in Nepal: Rs. 16,790

Pros Cons
Good value low storage

Vivo V15

Vivo V15 is, as the name suggests, a toned-down version of the Vivo V15 Pro. One example of its inferiority would be the IPS LCD display instead of the AMOLED one found on the Pro. You’ll have to say goodbye to punchy colors and deep blacks. But the resolution is still FHD+, so the texts and images still look sharp. The next thing you might notice is that the V15 uses a MediaTek processor. The processor inside is the Mediatek Helio P70 processor. Its performance is similar to that of the Snapdragon 660 found on phones like the Xiaomi Mi A2.

Vivo 15 has a 12MP+8MP+5MP camera setup. We will have to test it ourselves to give you a verdict on how this setup performs. Don’t assume outright that it won’t be as good as the V15 Pro. Vivo V15 retains the motorized 32MP pop-up selfie camera. This gives the phone that edges to edge screen look that we all like. But, the fingerprint sensor is not under the screen; it’s at the back.

Vivo V15 is a decent phone with good design but Redmi k20 is a far better choice if you want to go cheap or Redmi K20 Pro if you want something more premium.

Vivo V15 Key Specifications

      • Secondary Camera: 32MP Pop Up

Vivo V15 Price in Nepal: Rs. 45,190

Pros Cons
Futuristic looking The mechanical camera system may not be reliable
Beefy cameras on paper not as 'cool' as V15 pro

Vivo V15 Pro

Vivo V15 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 675 processor. This is probably the only mid-range thing about this device. At the back, there’s a 48MP+8MP+5MP triple camera setup that gives this device a futuristic look. The screen is an AMOLED screen which means punchy colors and amazing contrast ratio. There is an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. And, the selfie camera pops up from the top to reveal the 32MP sensor. Technically, this phone shouldn’t fall on this list as this phone costs Rs. 52K. Also, it is just available for preorder at the time of the writing. However, this is an innovative phone and contains features that you’d only find in many expensive handsets. If you show this off to your friends, they will think that this device cost you at least 1 lakh.

Snapdragon 675 is not worth for the price. So, why don’t you just go for the Redmi k20 Pro?

Vivo Y95

Typical to Vivo, the design of the Vivo Y95 is alluring. Even the budget model of Vivo phones look good to the eyes. At the front, Vivo Y95 has an HD+ 6.22 inch IPS LCD display. There’s a tiny teardrop-shaped notch at the top. The phone packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This setup looks good until we see the processor inside. Inside, the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 Soc.

In terms of Camera, Vivo Y95 sports a dual 12MP f/2.2 primary sensor that is combined with a 2 MP, f/2.4 depth sensor at the back. There’s a small 20 MP f/2.0 selfie camera hiding beneath the notch. Unlike some other phones that we have seen from Vivo in the past year, Vivo Y95 has a regular fast fingerprint sensor at the back. The Vivo Y95 has a massive 4030 mAh battery. It’s a shame that Vivo has chosen to fit this phone with a micro USB port. The headphone jack still lives.

Vivo Y95 Key Specifications

      • Chipset: Qualcomm SDM439 Snapdragon 439 (12 nm)

Vivo Y81i

Vivo Y81i looks stylish enough for its price. However, its body is made up of plastic. Vivo Y81i sports a 6.22-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio screen. The resolution is decent for the price. The display, as is the tradition nowadays, is cut by a notch at the top. Inside, Vivo Y81i is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset combined with 2GB of RAM.vivo y81i price nepal

The A22 chip performs similarly to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chip. This means enough horsepower for daily calling and texting and a little bit of web browsing. But games won’t be a joy to play on this device. Similarly, 2GB RAM is a little on the low side. So, no intensive multitasking either. At the back, there is a single 13MP f/2.2 sensor. This camera will be just fine for social media. But it will suffer in low-light as is the case with almost all the phones at this price range. At the front, there’s a 5MP shooter that won’t satisfy any selfie fanatic.

Vivo Y81i Key Specifications

Android Oreo out of the box No fingerprint sensor

Vivo 11 Pro

Vivo V11 Pro has a 6.41-inch fullHD+ super-AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio which looks fantastic. The bezels on the sides and the bottom are nearly the same sizes. And they are adorned by a cute waterdrop shaped notch that is small and unobtrusive. It just might be the smallest notch in any notched smartphone. Another cool and futuristic feature about the V11 Pro is the in-display fingerprint sensor. It is an optical fingerprint scanner which is a bit slower than traditional fingerprint sensor but it works really well.

On the inside, Vivo V11 Pro will ship with a Snapdragon 660. This is a capable mid-range chip from Qualcomm. The phone will run smoothly. The only differentiating factor between this chip and the more powerful 800 series chips will be in gaming. If you want the best frame rate possible in the highest of settings, this phone is not for you but for everybody else this is a solid processor. The 6GB RAM is more than enough for multitasking.

Once again, it’s not worth the price. Redmi K20 pro? You’ve heard of it. It’s much better or even the Samsung A70. However, the in-display fingerprint sensor on A70 is mediocre.

Vivo V11 Pro Key Specifications

      • Display: 6.41-inch Super AMOLED (2340×1080)
      • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 660

Vivo V11 Pro Price in Nepal: Rs. 49,490

Pros Cons
The screen design Vivo could have used a Snapdragon 700 series processor
Large internal storage MIcro USB port (seriously??)
That fingerprint sensor under the screen
AMOLED screen

Vivo V11

The Vivo V11 (of Nepal) is a typical mid-range phone. It has a 6.3 inch full HD screen, an Helio P60 processor, a fingerprint sensor at the back. The RAM is large at 4GB and the internal storage is ample enough at 64GB. But it is nothing ground-breaking. The only thing that makes the V11 stand out is its waterdrop notch design which sure looks good.

For people who are more budget-conscious, the Vivo V11 is the one to get over the V11 Pro as it’s already a very capable phone. At 37990, Vivo V11 is not the best phone you can get. Vivo S1 is a better phone with triple camera for 34k. Or add up and get the Redmi K20.

Vivo Y85

Vivo Y85 has a 19:9 elongated display with a notch that makes this phone look and feels modern. The cameras on the back are stacked vertically at the side. The back is made up of high-quality plastic with a depression for a fingerprint sensor right in the middle. You could say the design is heavily influenced by the iPhone. But if the phone looks good, maybe that’s a good thing.

Inside the Y85 lies the 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 chip which is a powerful midrange chip from MediaTek. You won’t have to worry about normal daily performance. It will be able to run all the apps you throw at it. And with 4GB RAM, multitasking won’t be a problem. We have some qualms about gaming though. You might be able to run the latest games but you won’t get the best experience out of it. If smartphone-gaming is a priority for you, look for a phone in the premium category like the iPhone X, or the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Vivo Y85 Key Specifications

      • Display: 6.22 inch 720 x 1520 pixels (HD+), 19:9 ratio (~270 ppi density)

      • CPU: Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53

      • Sensors: Fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity, compass

Vivo Y85 Price in Nepal: Rs. 29,900

Pros Cons
Good price The display should have been full HD
Has a fingerprint sensor not the best value (especially because of the screen)

Vivo Y81

Vivo Y81 is a mid-range phone with the now common, 19:9 elongated display in HD+ resolution. It’s a shame they didn’t go with a FullHD+ display but HD+ is Okay. The Mi A1, that costs nearly the same, has an FHD screen. inside the minimalistic classy design of this phone lies a MediaTek Helio P22 processor which can handle most of the normal tasks like web browsing, Facebook scrolling, Instagram stalking, and YouTube binging that people do on their phones like a champ. However, it isn’t meant for gaming.

The 13 MP camera on the back and the 5 MP shooter on the front are pretty standard stuff. You’ll get a decent picture in adequate lighting. Our reactions to the Vivo Y81 had been positive because it really is a nice all-around phone for someone on a budget. The device looks premium. The notch is a commonplace nowadays so it’s not much of a big deal. But the Vivo Y81 lacks a fingerprint sensor. And that may be a slight deterrent for many people.

Good price Full HD screen would have been better
No fingerprint sensor

Vivo V9

Snapdragon 626 is a pretty powerful chip. I used the word “pretty” because it’s not the best you can get, but is more than required for your average daily usage. This paired with 4 gigabytes of RAM will get you through basically any workload without a hitch, well except those which are insanely demanding. I am not a great fan of the screen. For a phone that costs over 35 grand, an AMOLED Screen should have been there, but the IPS is not bad either.

Vivo V9 phone is lightweight. With just over 150 grams this phone has a plastic body. This looks very good on this phone but on the downside, it is a fingerprint magnet. One of the most catchy features is the iPhone like a notch.

Vivo V9 Youth

The Vivo V9 Youth is a toned-down form of the Vivo V9 but is quite similar. Compared to the V9, V9 Youth has an inferior processor. The Snapdragon 626 was not already a powerful chip. Snapdragon 450 is a weaker processor. The fact this comes at only a few thousand rupees less than its bigger brother might be a deal-breaker for some people. The RAM is 4GB and the internal storage is 32GB.

Vivo V7

I don’t know what Vivo thinks when they choose a processor for their device, but come on, a Snapdragon 450 for a phone that costs 30 grand is kind of stupid. Phones in a similar price range like the Coolpad Coolplay 6 have Snapdragon 653 processor. Other than the processor you are getting 4 Gigabytes of RAM which is well over enough for any workload. For storage, you are getting a 32 GB of internal storage which can later be expanded up to 256GB via microSD.

The camera on the V7 looks very impressive on paper. Unlike the other smartphones, the front camera on this device is better than the rear camera. The front camera is a 24 freaking megapixel sensor which, if a good as in the real world as on paper, well I have a news for you. You are getting g-r-e-a-t pictures. The rear camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with a f/2.0 aperture.

Vivo V7 Key Specifications

      • Display: 5.7 inches IPS HD LCD display
      • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 450
      • CPU: Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53

      • Primary Camera: 16 MP, f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, LED flash
      • Secondary Camera: 24 MP, f/2.0
      • Battery: Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery
      • Sensors: Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, compass

Vivo V7 Price in Nepal: Rs. 27,290

Pros Cons
It has a decent amount of RAM which will give you nice multitasking Processor is relatively weak
The front camera is a 24-megapixel sensor which will give you great selfies A bigger battery would have been better

Vivo Y71

You are getting SD 450 and a 2 Gigs of RAM. This might not sound very impressive but considering the fact that this comes at a sub 18 grand price point is freaking impressive. On top of that, you are getting an 18:9 aspect ratio display which is uncommon in phones at this price point. You might not get a better smartphone at this price point.

Vivo Y71 is great and all but people are skeptical about getting phones from relatively new brands. It’s like people are afraid of change. This might turn out to be a curse for Vivo, so unless Vivo can rest assure their customers that this phone is not a complete crapshoot, I don’t think this phone will do very good in the Nepali Market.

Vivo Y71 Key Specifications

      • Display: 6.0-inch IPS HD LCD display with Gorilla Glass
      • Resolution: 720×1440 pixels
      • Chipset: Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450
      • CPU: Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53

      • Secondary Camera: 5 MP
      • Battery: Non-removable Li-Ion 3360 mAh battery
      • Sensors: accelerometer, proximity, compass

Vivo Y71 Price in Nepal: Rs. 15,790

Pros Cons
Comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio display Unnecessary skin on top
You can increase your storage later using microSD card later Screen could be a little sharper

Vivo Y53

Vivo Y53 is a relatively old device. So, compared to other smartphones at the same price point, this phone is going to have a slight disadvantage. You are getting a Snapdragon 425 processor with this phone. This is an older processor, so this phone might not be as optimized as its new competitors hitting the market. The RAM on this device is 2 Gigabytes which, for this smartphone, is not bad. The screen is a 5 inch IPS panel, which again for this price point, is “not bad”.

The main disadvantage of getting an older smartphone is the camera and the operating system. The rear camera is an 8 Megapixel f/2.0 aperture sensor. Well, this is not very good compared to other smartphones which generally have a 13-megapixel sensor. Cramming a lot of pixels in the sensor might not get you the best photos but it still matters to a certain extent.

Vivo Y53 Key Specifications

      • Display: 5.0 inches IPS LCD display
      • Chipset: Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425
      • CPU: Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53
      • GPU: Adreno 306

      • Primary Camera: 8 MP, f/2.0, autofocus, LED flash
      • Secondary Camera: 5 MP, f/2.2
      • Battery: Non-removable Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery
      • Sensors: Accelerometer, proximity, compass

Vivo Y53 Price in Nepal: Rs. 14,690

Pros Cons
Decent 5 inch IPS Panel for its price Specs are a little bit incompetent
You can increase your storage later using microSD card later Lacks a fingerprint sensor

Have Your Say

This was the list of all the Vivo mobiles price in Nepal. The price range they occupy is not as significant as brands like Samsung and Huawei; Huawei has a phone below 10K and a phone above 100K. But the lineup is diverse with phones from budget range to the upper mid-range. This makes sense too as the majority of the smartphone sold in Nepal fall into one of these categories.

But what do you think of Vivo’s smartphones? Which among these phones is right for you? Have you bought any of these phones? If yes, will you recommend it to anyone else? Please don’t forget to leave your comments in the comment section below. We highly prize your thoughts and suggestions.
