Vivo V29e with 50MP Front Camera Launched in Nepal

After the Vivo V29, Vivo has now launched the Vivo V29e in Nepal. It is a successor to the Vivo V27e.

Vivo claims that the Vivo V29e will set new industry benchmarks. Well, it’s quite impressive on paper and is a looker as well. Let’s try and see if this bold claim will be true by looking at all of its details.

Vivo V29e Overview

Design

The Vivo V29e is a pretty sleek-looking phone. Vivo calls their design Slim Flat frame and at only 7.69mm of thickness, one can see why. For its size, it’s also on the lighter side at 190gm and features IP54 dust and water resistance.

The starlight pattern makes the glass back look stunning but also stain-resistant to keep it classy. There is a fairly sized camera island that also blends in nicely with the back due to it narrow bezel and color profile.

The phone will be available in two color variants in Nepal: Rose Gold which features Nano Scale Photoetching and Forest Black which features Fluorite AG Glass.

Display

Flip the phone to the front, and you get a large 6.67-inch 120Hz display. It’s an FHD+ resolution display and features a hole punch cutout for the camera.

Diving into the technical details of the AMOLED panel, it has a local peak brightness of 1150 nits and Vivo claims a 100% DIC-P3 color gamut. It’s also pretty sharp at 394ppi.

Hardware

The Vivo V29e is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 5G (6nm) processor. It is an octa-core processor with 2 Cortex-A78 at 2.2GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz. Along with this chip comes the Adreno 619 to handle the graphical side of things.

The benchmark performance of this chipset is comparable to the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and is a bit better than the Dimensity 6080.

The phone is available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS2.2 storage. Sadly, there is no room for further storage expansion.

Camera

The V29e has a primary 64MP shooter and an 8MP ultrawide sensor at the back.

The primary 64MP camera is a f1.8 sensor that is capable of shooting 1080p@30fps videos and supports OIS as well. The ultrawide is not the sharpest with that 8MP sensor.

You also get their signature Smart Aura Light with the phone that now features their Smart Color Temperature Adjustment. This should help with low-light shots and deliver sharper, cleaner images. We’ve seen the implementation of this on the V29 and hopefully, it’s just as good.

Additionally, you also get Vivo’s Super Night Mode and Super Moon Mode with the phone. We’ll definitely need to test these out to see how much they improve the photos.

Moving to the front, there is a massive 50MP f2.0 selfie camera with a 22mm wide FOV and supports AF. The front camera is also capable of shooting 1080p@30fps videos.

Battery and OS

The phone has a pretty big 4800mAh battery with support for 44W wired charging.

The smartphone runs on Funtouch 13 which is based on Android 13, out of the box.

Vivo V29e Price in Nepal and Availability

The Vivo V29e price in Nepal is Rs. 42,999 (8/256GB). The device is available for pre-booking starting November 2 and will continue to be available until November 5. It will be available for purchase on November 6, 2023.

The Vivo V29e is a pretty decent mid-ranger powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G (6nm). The phone has a 64MP primary camera and an 8MP Ultrawide sensor.

Furthermore, it has a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen and a 4800mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging.
