Vivo V29 5G with 80W Fast-Charging Now Available in Nepal

The Vivo V29 is the successor of the Vivo V27 launched in May 2023. Just a few months after releasing that phone, Vivo has now launched the Vivo V29 5G in Nepal.

This is Vivo’s new mid-range phone. It looks identical to the Vivo V27 but is a bit different under the hood. So, what’s changed? Let’s find out in this article.

Vivo V29 Overview

Design

The Vivo V29 5G looks beautiful. It’s super slim at just 7.46mm and still continues the color changing in its Black color variant.

The back glass and front, curve into the frame, to give the phone a super premium look and make it easier to hold as well. The phone is also IP68 dust and water-resistant.

We also see a similar camera island at the back featuring their Aura light setup which has now been upgraded and can change its color temperature from cool to warm as well.

Display

The phone comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz. The phone also supports HDR10+ content and the bezels look super thin.

The resolution is also pretty good at 1260 x 2800 resulting in a pixel-per-inch count of 453. That’s very close to the iPhone 15 Pro Max‘s count of 460.

The display offers clear visuals and Vivo has also added eye protection for longer use.

Hardware

The Vivo V29 bids farewell to Mediatek and packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G chipset under the hood. It’s a 6nm chipset with eight cores (1×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 3×2.2 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×1.9 GHz Cortex-A55) and we’ve seen this in other mid-range phones as well.

The phone comes with 12GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. The storage is fast enough as it’s UFS 2.2 but there is no micro SD slot for storage expansion.

Camera

On paper, the phone features a triple camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP f1.88 sensor with the other two being an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP monochrome sensor.

The Vivo V27 was an incredible phone for shooting photos, especially during the night. The V29 looks to improve on that with Aura Portrait 2.0. You can shoot up to 4K@30fps video on the phone.

The front has a 50MP f2.0 camera and can shoot up to 1080p@30fps videos which is a significant downgrade from 4K@60fps on the V27.

Battery and OS

The phone has a fairly decent 4600mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging. Vivo has advertised a 1-50% charge in 17 minutes for the phone.

The smartphone runs on Android 13, out of the box, with Funtouch 13 on top.

Vivo V29 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 59,999 (12/256GB). You can buy the phone at retail stores nationwide.

The Vivo V29 is a mid-ranger with a tried and tested Snapdragon 778G (6nm). It features a 50MP camera and a 50MP front camera.

Furthermore, it has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and the phone is powered by a fairly sized 4600mAh battery which supports 80W fast charging.
