Vivo Y27 with 44W Charging Launched in Nepal

Vivo has launched the Vivo Y27 in Nepal. It is a budget phone introduced in July 2023 to several markets including India and Malaysia.

Additionally, there is the Vivo Y27 5G variant; however, the one about to launch in Nepal is the 4G variant.

The Vivo Y27 4G is equipped with a Helio G85 chipset, a 50MP camera, and supports 44W wired charging. Let’s explore what else this phone has to offer!

Vivo Y27 Overview

Design

The Vivo Y27 sports a distinctive “dual ring design” with two large camera rings at the back. The phone features a sparkling crystalline matte finish that is also scratch-resistant.

Unfortunately, the front still looks old-fashioned with its dewdrop notch for the front camera. However, the phone is IP54 rated for protection against dust and water splashes.

On the right side of the device, you can find the power and volume buttons, with the power button also serving as a fingerprint sensor.

At the bottom side, you’ll find the 3.5mm headphone jack, mic, USB-C port, and speaker, while the SIM tray is located on the top side, featuring a dedicated slot for a microSD card.

Display

The display measures 6.64 inches diagonally, featuring an IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution. According to Vivo, the local peak brightness of the display can reach up to 600 nits.

The display refresh rate remains at 60Hz, which is a bit disappointing considering some rivals are offering AMOLED panels with high refresh rate support.

Hardware

The Y27 4G is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It is a budget chipset built on a 12nm process node. It has two Cortex-A75 cores running at up to 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores with up to 1.8GHz clock speed.

The graphics are handled by Mali-G52 MC2. Paired with the processor is 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Camera

The phone flaunts its dual rear camera setup. The setup consists of a 50MP primary camera, while the secondary camera is a 2MP depth sensor. Vivo has not provided an ultrawide camera on the Y27.

The front has an 8MP selfie camera. The phone can shoot up to 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The phone includes a 5000mAh battery, which should provide a good battery life.

For charging, it supports 44W fast charging. Vivo says in just 15 minutes, the phone can be charged from 0% to 29%, which is impressive.

In terms of software, the Vivo Y27 comes with Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13.

Vivo Y27 Price in Nepal and Availability

The Vivo Y27 price in Nepal is Rs. 23,999 (6/128GB). The phone is available for purchase at Vivo-authorized stores nationwide.

The Vivo Y27 is a budget smartphone with a stylish design but underwhelming specs, as is typical in the budget and midrange segments of Vivo phones.

Powered by a Helio G85 chipset, the phone features a mediocre processor for the price. It is equipped with an IPS LCD panel that lacks high refresh rate support and has a 50MP main camera but no ultrawide camera.

On the positive side, it boasts a 5000mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging.
