Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Launched in Nepal with a Super AMOLED Display

Samsung Nepal officially announced the launch of the Galaxy M15 smartphone for the Nepalese market. It is currently being sold alongside other M series smartphones, namely, the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, Samsung Galaxy M14 5G, and the Samsung Galaxy M14 LTE.

The Galaxy M15 5G is a mid-range device that features Samsung’s Classic Galaxy Blueprint design. The phone comes with triple cameras stacked on top of one another on the rear, a Mediatek Dimensity processor, an FHD display, and an all-day battery. When compared, this device comes with the exact specs as the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G.

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Overview

Design

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G has a monotone glossy plastic back with a checkered pattern design. The rear cameras are stacked on top of one another with the flash module being beside them. The Samsung logo is printed on the bottom center of the rear panel.

The side rails are also made of plastic but have a more fingerprint-resistant matte design. On the right are the power/fingerprint sensor and the volume buttons, the hybrid SIM card tray lies on the left, and finally, the USB-C port, speaker grille, and headphone jack reside on the underside of the phone.

Display

The Galaxy M15 5G has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It achieves a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz and a high brightness mode that can reach up to 800nits.

The phone has a pronounced chin and thick bezels. A waterdrop notch lies on the top center of the display to house the selfie camera.

Hardware

Powering the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G is a Mediatek Dimensity 6100+ octa-core processor. The chip has 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 high-performance cores and 6x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Accompanying the Dimensity 6100+ is a Mali-G57 coprocessor that handles all the graphics.

The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage along with support for an SD card for memory expansion.

Moreover, the M15 5G comes with Samsung’s Knox Vault which promises increased privacy and security. Samsung says the hardware-based security system offers “protection against both hardware and software attacks by constructing a secure execution environment.”

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G comes with a triple camera setup on the rear with the main camera being a 50 MP lens with an aperture of f/1.8. Accompanying the main camera is a 5 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens and lastly, there’s a 2 MP, f/2.4 macro lens.

On the front, the 13 MP, f/2.0 selfie camera completes the camera setup of the device. Both the front and the rear cameras can record videos up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

A 6000mAh battery powers the Galaxy M15 5G. The battery also supports 25W fast charging. For Nepalese customers, Samsung is providing a genuine 25W Samsung adapter free of cost.

Software-wise, the phone comes with Android 14 that has One UI 6 skin applied on top of it. Samsung promises four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates on the Galaxy M15.
