Huawei Mobiles Price in Nepal

Huawei’s meteoric rise to the top of the ranks of Smartphone manufacturers in the world has created a different image for Huawei in the tech industry lately. Previously, mostly known for telecommunications devices, Huawei is now the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. It also makes laptops and tablets. And its MateBook X Pro is one of the best Windows ultrabooks on the market. And its Huawei P20 Pro is one of the best Android smartphones available.

Huawei entered Nepal in 2012 through its official distributor Call Mobility. Huawei started slow but it has spread like a wildfire among the consumers in recent years. In response, Huawei has been rolling out handsets after handsets to capture the Nepali market and establish a brand loyalty. It released nearly 4 phones in the last four months: Nova 3e, Huawei P20, Y7 Pro 2018, Y9 2018. A phone per month is a tough record to set.

As this barrage of incoming phones and upcoming phones can confuse any sane person, we have compiled a list of all the Huawei phones in Nepal that you can buy right now. This list contains Huawei mobiles price in Nepal for the available Huawei phones. Also, for your convenience, we have included the details of Huawei service centers in Nepal along with the detail of Huawei call center in Nepal.

Huawei Nova 3

Huawei Nova 3 is a beautiful device. Inside, Nova 3 boasts a Kirin 970 processor which is the flagship processor made by Huawei. It is the same chipset that was inside the Huawei P20 Pro. And with 6GB RAM onboard, this thing has a flagship level performance. Huawei hasn’t skimped on the camera department too.

The Nova 3 has a dual 16 + 24 MP camera setup on the back and a dual 24MP+2MP sensor on the front. These cameras come with AI capabilities that have been embedded on the SoC itself, just like on the P20 Pro. An example of the AI in action would be scene recognition where the camera recognizes the setting of the scene, whether you’re capturing something in motion or something at night. With P20 Pro being the king of the smartphone camera, we expect some serious performance from the Nova 3.

Huawei Nova 3i

The Nova 3i is like a mini version of the Nova 3. But it mostly keeps the same specs as of the Nova 3. The 6.3-inch screen is the same one that is found on the Nova 3, which means the display is sharp and vibrant and eye-pleasing. The internal storage is still spacious at 128GB. But there are some sensible downgrades.

The processor is a midrange Kirin 710 which will still be plenty powerful for diurnal tasks like using Facebook, YouTy5ube, Instagram. The 4GB RAM is a plenty even for multitasking fanatics. The front camera on the 3i is the same as found on the Nova 3. 24 MP should make all the selfie die-hards happy. The camera on the back is of a slightly different configuration. It is a dual 16MP+2MP sensor.

Huawei P20 Pro

The P20 Pro is the ultimate flagship from Huawei; it has Huawei’s latest and greatest in-house Kirin processor, a 6GB of RAM and it comes default with 128GB of storage. So, it performs like the best of the best. The P20 pro also has an AMOLED screen. It is going head-to-head with flagships from other big names like Samsung and Apple. And, to many people’s surprise, it manages to trample the competition in some areas.

The highlighting feature of the Huawei P20 Pro is the camera set up on the back. You get a triple lens setup vertically stacked on the left side. One of them is a 40-megapixel main sensor (40!!) with f/1.8 aperture. Another one is a 20-megapixel f/1.6 aperture monochrome sensor and the third one is a 3x zoom 8-megapixel telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.4. The P20 Pro has a DXOmark rating of 109, the highest score of any smartphone camera till date. It is one of the best camera shooters on the market right now. Huawei also has managed to cram a 4000mAh battery inside this beast that gives one of the best battery life among any flagship phones on the market.

It has a 4GB of RAM supported by 128 GB of storage. These are flagship level specs of 2018. You won’t be needing any external storage cards to store your photos or apps on this phone.

In terms of power, a 3400mAh non-removable Li-ion battery resides inside this phone which will comfortably last you all day. If you were looking for the triple lens camera, you won’t find that here though, that setup is reserved for its bigger brother – the P20 Pro. But don’t get disheartened because the P20 still has a dual camera setup that clicks one of the best photos in the business.

Huawei Nova 3e

The Nova 3e is a kind of a successor to the wildly popular Huawei Nova 2i launched in late 2017. It features a similar sized FHD+ screen that is beautiful to look at. W have found the screen on the 3e to be a little better than that on the 2i. The processor (Kirin 659)  and the 4GB RAM on this phone are also the same found on Huawei Nova 2i. So, the performance you get from these two phones is similar. What has changed is the camera setup. While the Nova 2i set record sales number riding on the “quad camera phone” moniker, the Nova 3e has a more normal triple camera setup. Dual cameras on the back, while a single camera on the front.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

While you may think this as a downgrade, note that the front camera on the Nova 3e is a 16MP sensor while it is a combined 13MP and 2MP sensor on the Nova 2i. So, it’s a little bit of a tradeoff and gains at the same time. The battery has been pared down to 3000 from 3340 on the Nova 2i but Nova 3e incorporates fast charging 2.0 technology for faster topups. So, a little bit of tradeoff and gain again. On the design front, you get a more premium glass back design on the Nova 3e along with a notch at the front. So, changes on the 3e are mostly cosmetic. You can buy the Nova 3e for a better overall performance or save your money and invest in the 2i which will give you a near-similar experience.

Huawei Nova 3e Key Specifications

  • Display: 5.84-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen
  • Resolution: 1080×2240 pixels
  • Chipset: HiSilicon Kirin 659

  • Memory: 64GB Internal Storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD), 4GB RAM

Amazing screen

Huawei Nova 2i

Huawei Nova 2i came into the Nepalese market in late 2017 and for its price of Rs. 33,900, it gets many things right. As the price suggests, it is a mid-range device from Huawei with a mid-range Kirin processor but it performs admirably well at almost any task you throw at it. Thanks to its ample 4 GB RAM. The full-view screen at FHD+ resolution has an 18:9 aspect ratio and is fantastic as can be expected from Huawei. In the camera department, with the Nova 2i, you are getting four cameras. Yes, you read that right, FOUR! Two at the back, just above the fingerprint sensor, and two at the front.

Frankly, there’s nothing like Huawei Nova 2i in Nepal right now. The marriage of price and performance that it offers is phenomenal. The only phones that come close to delivering a similar experience in this price range are the gigantic Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and the Sony Xperia X.

Huawei Nova 2i Key Specifications

Huawei Y7 Pro 2018

Huawei Y7 Pro is kind of a mixed bag for me. It was released after the wild success of Nova 2i to keep the enthusiasm of Huawei Phones alive. But it does away with some features that some might people think are essential. The perfect example of that would be a lack of a fingerprint sensor. Yeah, you buy a phone for 20,000 and you don’t get a fingerprint sensor. That’s not cool, that’s just cruel. You get a face unlock system which is a bit of hit and miss. Also, the Y7 Pro axes a little performance from the Nova 2i. It uses an entry-level Snapdragon processor instead of a midrange Kirin processor. The RAM is down to 3GB and the internal storage to 32GB. While these are still plenty and sufficient, we would have loved to see something beefier.

Don’t get me wrong, the Huawei Y7 Pro is a great phone considering it is nearly Rs 12,000 cheaper than the Nova 2i! It’s just that I had more hopes from Huawei. But for the price, this is certainly a phone you should consider. The other phones you should also consider are the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Redmi 5 Plus.

Huawei Y9 2018

Huawei Y9 is a very sleek looking phone. It is one of the few remaining phones of the endangered metal species as glass has encroached its habitat. It has a mid-range Kirin Processor built by Huawei themselves on the inside which is more than enough for most of your daily tasks and apps like YouTube and Snapchat, or Tinder, and can even play some casual games. The 3 GB of RAM is a little small though. We would have loved to see at least 4GB on this phone. And same can be said for the 32GB internal storage; we would have loved to see a 64GB  storage on this phone.

We like the Huawei Y9 for the value and performance it provides. Its camera performance is superior to other phones in this price range. However, you might want to take a look at a phone like Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus or the Xiaomi Mi A1 which offer more RAM and storage at the same price.

Huawei Y7

Huawei Y7 is one of the latest phones from Huawei to enter the Nepalese Market but that doesn’t mean it is the best. The most underwhelming part is the lack of a fingerprint sensor. The entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset paired with 2 GB RAM that is fine for apps like Youtube, Facebook or Snapchat but don’t expect a great gaming performance. Huawei Y7 has 16 GB of internal storage which can be extended with a micro-SD card.

The competition in the sub 15K market is fierce and the Huawei Y7 delivers one of the better experiences in the price range. However, the lack of fingerprint sensor is off-putting and consumers may look into the likes of Colors S11 for a better overall experience.

Huawei Y3 II

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The smaller cousin of Huawei Y5 II, Huawei Y3 II takes the minimum specs of the Y5 II down a notch. It does not even have an HD screen. It has got a 5 MP rear camera, and a 1.0 GHz processor. CG OMEGA 6 offers a better value and specs in the sub 10K category. But we sincerely suggest you to not buy a phone with just 1GB of RAM. 2GB os the bare minimum you should target for an acceptable performance.

Huawei Y3 II Key Specifications

  • Display: 4.5inch FWVGA 854*480

Huawei Y3 2017

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Huawei Y3  2017 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Huawei Y3 II, and offers a screen below HD resolution, a slightly higher clocked 1.2 GHz Media Tek processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. As we have already said before, this specs is not enough for an average smartphone user. If you want to do anything more than text or call, look elsewhere.

Cheap Poor screen resolution
Not so great cameras
Small battery
Just 1 GB RAM

Huawei Y5 2017

There’s no fingerprint sensor here if you were looking for one. The Huawei Y5 2017 has a single primary camera, a 5.0 inch LCD screen and a 1.4 GHz processor which are all serviceable. You can watch a little Youtube, and use a little facebook with its 2 GB RAM. The internal storage is large enough for some extra apps and photos. The build quality, too, is not so great. The back is made of plastic.

Phones like Xiaomi Redmi 4A or Redmi 5A offer a better value than the Huawei Y5 2017. So, it is better if you take a look at them instead of the Y5 2017.

Huawei Y5 Prime

The screen on the Huawei Y5 Prime is HD (typical of the price range) but it has an elongated 18:9 aspect ratio with small bezels all around the phone which gives it a modern look. The processor housed inside the metallic chassis is an entry level MediaTek chipset which is kind of a bummer and a little surprising. Bummer because it doesn’t perform as well as it’s Snapdragon counterpart and surprising because Huawei didn’t use its own in-house brand Kirin Chipset inside this device.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The storage and the RAM are also typical of the price range. It has 2GB RAM which is enough to make using basic apps like Facebook and YouTube enjoyable. But the 16GB RAM will need users to buy an SD card simultaneously with the phone. The cameras, analyzing from other Huawei Y-series phones, will give a great experience for the price. Good lighting conditions will ensure a satisfying photo but like any other budget smartphone, it will not perform well under low-light.

Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 Key Specifications

  • Display: 5.45 inches LCD capacitive touchscreen
  • Resolution: 720 x 1440 pixels
  • Chipset: MediaTek MT6739

  • Primary Camera: 13 MP (f/2.0), AF, dual-LED dual-tone flash
  • Secondary Camera: 5 MP, LED flash

Pros Cons
Great build quality No FullHD screen
Fluid Performance Only 2GB RAM
Good camera Quality

Huawei Y6 Prime

The design of Huawei Y6 Prime 2018, as expected, is based on the 18:9 aspect ratio screen with slim bezels that has become all the rage in 2018. The back looks sleek too. The camera housing and the metal finish reminds me of the Huawei P10, a flagship device from Huawei in 2017. Inside, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, which is not the most powerful chip.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

It is an entry-level chipset that is great for battery efficiency and normal tasks like calling and texting. Facebook and YouTube will run pretty smoothly but anything more than that and you’ll have to live with lags and stutters. So, you won’t be buying this phone for multitasking (as the RAM is just 2GB) or buttery smooth performance.

Huawei Y6 Prime 2018 Key Specifications

  • Display: 5.7 inches HD+ IPS LCD (720 x 1440 pixels) @282ppi
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Octa-core CPU

  • Sensors: Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, fingerprint

Huawei Y6 Prime 2018 Price in Nepal: Rs. 17,900

Pros Cons
Good build quality No FullHD screen
Good camera Quality Only 2GB RAM

Huawei Y7 Prime

As the screen of Huawei Y7 Prime is 5.5 inches, the HD screen has only 267 pixels per inch, which is good but not so great. Where the Y7 shines is the battery department. It’s 4000 mAh battery coupled with Android 7.0 Nougat keeps the phone comfortably alive for a day. The processor is an entry level snapdragon but as it is paired with 3 GB RAM, the phone runs smoothly.

This is a great phone for the price but it faces stiff competition from Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 which offers a faster Snapdragon 625 processor and a full HD screen for a lower price of Rs. 20,999.

Huawei Y7 Prime Key Specifications

  • Display: 5.5 inches HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen

Huawei P10 Plus

Building on the design of P9, Huawei released the beautifully constructed Huawei P10 Plus in June 2017 in Nepal. As you can tell from the looks of it, this is a flagship phone from Huawei. It houses a high-performance Kirin 960 Chipset, which Huawei manufactures itself, that can handle any games or demanding task you throw at it. The screen at measures at 540 ppi and is a joy to look at. The blacks are deep, and the contrast is high. The dual cameras take great pictures and the fingerprint sensor is fast and reliable.

We like the P10 plus. It earns its reputation as a flagship. That being said, we also note that Samsung Galaxy S8 is currently available for about Rs. 69990 and the OnePlus 5T is available for about Rs 64,900. These two phones deliver similar experiences at a much lower price, and the consumers may save some cash if they opt for the other phones. But if you like the design of the P10 Plus or prefer 16:9 screens instead of 18:9, the P10 Plus is a fantastic phone to buy.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro

Huawei Mate 10 Pro was the phone that really solidified Huawei’s position as a solid premium smartphone maker in the international market, showing that this brand could go toe to toe with the giant names like Samsung and Apple. This phone had everything (it still has) when it launched. The best battery life in the premium smartphone range. A big, beautiful AMOLED screen with popping colors. Elegant glass and aluminum design, Stereo speaker, Excellent Dual Cameras on the back, water resistance, and the list goes on and on.  It even has an IR blaster! to make your smartphone a remote to control your TV. It is just crazy feature-packed.

But it is not perfect. It is missing a headphone jack. And though the in-house flagship level Kirin Processor is a great performer coupled with the 6GB of RAM, this phone is just too expensive for us to recommend. Spending a lakh on a phone is not a small deal. You can get similar, if not the same experience from Samsung Galaxy S8 for Rs. 69990 right now. Or you can buy the new OnePlus 6.

Have your say

This was the list of all the Huawei mobiles price in Nepal. The price range they occupy is huge; Huawei has a phone below 10K and a phone above 100K. Maybe this diversity is what makes Huawei makes so successful. But the majority of its smartphone, the ones that sell the best are in the mid-range, upper mid-range territory. And that is the place where Huawei shines with its superior screens and cameras.

We currently like the Nova 3e among the phones on this list because it is the perfect balance between design, performance, and price. You can play games casually, and most basic tasks just fly by. It would be a great phone for anyone who looks for a bit of flare on their smartphones.

But what do you think of Huawei’s smartphones? Which among these phones is right for you? Have you bought any of these phones? If yes, will you recommend it to anyone else? Please don’t forget to leave your comments in the comment section below. We highly prize your thoughts and suggestions.
