Every six months, Vivo launches a new V-series phone, and about a month later, the smaller sibling follows close behind. We saw it with the V60 and V60 Lite, V50 and V50 Lite, and V40 and V40 Lite, and now it is the same story with the V70 lineup. But this time, it is called the Vivo V70 FE.

Like Samsung’s lineups, I initially thought FE meant Fan Edition. But Vivo has gone a different route, calling it the Fashion Edition instead. So let’s see what fashion it has brought to the much popular Vivo V70.
What is the Price of vivo V70 FE in Nepal?
With each iteration of Vivo phones, the price seems to be increasing steadily. The V50 Lite 5G started at Rs. 46,000, the V60 Lite 5G at Rs. 49,000, and now, after the smartphone price hike bonanza, we are seeing more than Rs. 10,000 jumps between generations in some smartphones. Just look at the price difference between the V60 and V70 to see exactly what I mean.
Similar to that price jump, this one also got the same treatment. The Vivo V70 FE price in Nepal starts at Rs. 62,999 for the 8/256GB variant and goes up to Rs. 72,999 for the 12/256GB variant.
The phone has officially arrived and is now available for purchase through vivo-authorized stores, both online and offline, across the country. Moreover, as part of vivo’s launch offer, the first 1,000 customers will receive a Soundcore P21i TWS earphone completely free.
But that’s not all. The first 2,000 customers will also get one-time front and back glass replacement, along with one-time water damage protection, both valid for six months, and an extended battery warranty valid for 18 months. Plus, the phone is also available on EMI with 0% interest.
Compared to the previous V series, the V40, V50, and V60, the V70 lineup is quite different. For instance, the previous two iterations had a Lite version, an E variant, and a Lite 4G. And going three generations back to the V40, there was all of the above, along with a Pro and SE variant as well.
So it came as quite a shock when Vivo replaced all of that with just an FE and Elite variant. But looking at its pricing and specs, the V70 FE feels a lot more like a successor to the V60 Lite than a completely new lineup, so a comparison with the V60 Lite is only natural.
What makes it more interesting is that the FE naming closely aligns with Vivo’s premium lineup, like the X200 FE and X300 FE, where FE stands for Feature Edition. But here on the V70 FE, Vivo is calling it a Fashion Edition instead. So the question is, what exactly makes it fashionable? Let’s find out.
vivo V70 FE Overview
As I mentioned, the FE here stands for Fashion Edition. So I expected the phone to have a bit of flair with some vibrant color options, which is very popular in today’s smartphone market.

Just look at the Nothing Phone (4a) with its unique colorways or the Infinix Note 60 Pro’s bold Solar Orange — brands are clearly leaning into color as a statement. But sadly, the color options here are not that vibrant, with just Ocean Blue and Muse Purple. Given that Vivo is calling this a Fashion Edition, some bolder choices would have gone a long way.
The pill-shaped camera module is also unique compared to the V70’s square module. But overall, the design has become fairly common ever since Samsung popularized it with the A-series in 2025.
Flip the phone over, and you are greeted with ultra-slim 1.3mm bezels that instantly give it a premium feel. And adding to that premium experience, the display now boasts a 1.5K resolution, a noticeable step up from the FHD+ panel on the V60 Lite.
There is also a notable improvement in the brightness department, with brightness peaking at 1,900 nits, 100 nits higher than its bigger sibling, the Vivo V70, which is impressive.
On the performance front, the V70 FE runs the same Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset found on the Vivo V60 Lite, with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It’s the same RAM and storage type, so the performance should be on par as well.

The real highlight here is the camera. The V70 FE packs a 200MP main sensor, which, on paper, sounds far more impressive than the 50MP sensor on the regular V70. Of course, megapixel numbers don’t always tell the full story.
But considering the Lite models have usually felt like an afterthought regarding the camera, this is definitely a step in the right direction. It definitely makes the FE worth considering.
Sure, it only has an 8MP ultrawide and is missing a telephoto lens. But in my opinion, quality is always better than quantity, and phones like the OnePlus Nord 5 prove that you do not always need a telephoto to take great shots.
On the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter, the same as the V60 Lite, except the aperture is slightly wider at ƒ/2.2, up from ƒ/2.5. That means slightly better light intake and should result in more detailed selfies in low-light conditions. And if you are in India, the variant there gets an even more impressive 50MP selfie shooter with an ƒ/2.0 aperture.
The battery is also a step up, not just over the V60 Lite, but even the V70 itself, which I did complain about in the V70’s overview. The V70 FE gets a new 7,000mAh Si/C battery paired with 90W fast charging, which is genuinely great for this price range.
Lastly, the phone ships with Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top.

OK, so at first I thought the Vivo V70 FE was just a smaller, cheaper phone to fill a gap in the V70 lineup. But as you have seen, the V70 FE actually does some things clearly better than the V70.
A 200MP main camera versus the V70’s 50MP, a bigger 7,000mAh battery, and a brighter 1,900 nits display. For a phone that is supposed to be the “lite” version, that is honestly surprising.
However, the chipset and missing telephoto are some notable compromises for users wanting more performance and a versatile camera setup.
And at the starting price north of Rs. 60,000, you are entering a very competitive space where phones like the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro and the Infinix Note 60 Pro, which offer better camera and raw performance, are fighting hard for the same buyer, and the vivo V70 FE falls a bit short.
