Samsung A21s with Exynos 850 and HD+ Screen Launched in Nepal

Samsung has been launching plenty of smartphones recently. And, now it has launched Samsung A21s in Nepal.

Samsung A21s price in Nepal is Rs. 24,999 for 4GB/64GB variant and comes in three colors: Black, Blue, and White.

Samsung Galaxy A21s is the s variant of the Samsung Galaxy A21 which is actually not available in Nepal.

So, let’s take a look at what will we get with the A21s.

Samsung Galaxy A21s Overview

Design

Samsung Galaxy A21s looks like every other A series phone. It has a rectangular camera module on the back along with a fingerprint sensor. The rear might look like glass but it’s actually plastic.

On the front, it has a hole-punch display with minimal bezels all around.

Display

Upfront we get a 6.5 inches IPS display. It’s an HD+ display (720 x 1600 Resolution) with 82.8% screen to body ratio.

So, there’s not much of an upgrade in terms of screen. The A20, A20s, and A21 all have an IPS HD display and the A21s also has the same thing.

Hardware

Under the hood, we get to see a new Exynos 850 chipset. It’s the first phone that is shipping with this chipset. It has an Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G52 GPU.

It’s an 8nmn process chipset so it is going to be efficient that Exynos 9611. But, it doesn’t use performance cores and has 8 efficient A55 cores. Also, it uses Mali G52 GPU which is found on the likes of Realme 6i, Realme C3, and Redmi 9. So, the GPU performance of the Exynos 850 could be better than Exynos 9611. Camera

Samsung has gone for a 48MP main sensor on the rear. The sensor is most likely the same one used on the M21.

Along with this, Samsung A21s has an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas it gets a 13MP selfie camera on the front.

Battery

Samsung A21s has a 5000 mAh battery which is less than the 6000 mAh battery we get on the M21. But, all the cores of Exynos 850 are A55 cores which is much more efficient. Plus it uses HD display. So, we might see almost the same battery performance as the M21 and M31 or even better.

This can easily last you more than a day and a half at average usage. Along with it, you get a 15W fast charging which is not the fastest among budget phones but it’s good enough.

Moving on Samsung A21s runs on One UI Core 2.0 on top of Android 10. And, it is one of the better UI’s right now. It also gets a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type C port.

Samsung A21s Price in Nepal, Availability, and Impressions

Currently, Samsung A21s (4/64GB) is priced at 16,500 INR in India which translates to 26,337 NPR. But Samsung A21s price in Nepal is Rs. 24,999. So, Samsung Nepal has managed to launch this device at a lower price than India.

Samsung A21s is an incremental upgrade over the A21 and the A20s. The main change here is the new chipset; Exynos 850. Most likely, you will be able to run heavy games on low-mid settings but it won’t bring you smooth gameplay.

Everything else feels familiar and feels like a blend of existing A series and M series phones. But, they should have provided an FHD display given it costs Rs. 24,999.
