realme P3 Ultra Finally Lands in Nepal: The Phone That Literally Glows in the Dark

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The realme P3 Ultra price in Nepal is Rs. 65,999 (12/256GB).
  • The phone features a moon-themed variant that glows in the dark.
  • It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra chipset and a 6,000mAh battery.

Most of realme’s 2025 launches were a bit underwhelming compared to what the competition was offering that year. But the GT 8 Pro changed that narrative. It was one of the cheapest flagship phones you could buy, and it gave people a reason to pay attention to realme again. Now, Realme is shaking things up once more by bringing the P series to Nepal for the very first time. The lineup includes the realme P3 and the more premium realme P3 Ultra, and in this article, we will be focusing on the latter.

The P3 Ultra made its global debut all the way back in March 2025, making it over a year old at this point. And with fresh 2026 launches already flooding the market, the question is a fair one: Does the age make the P3 Ultra irrelevant?

It’s always hard to get excited about a phone that’s already a year old. But if the specs are strong enough, even an older device can give some of the latest competition a run for its money. Just look at the Honor Pad V9. It arrived in Nepal long after its global debut, yet its solid hardware still managed to keep it relevant in the market.

So the big question is: can the realme P3 Ultra pull off the same feat, or has the competition already moved too far ahead? Let’s find out.

realme P3 Ultra Overview

Let’s start with what makes the P3 Ultra stand out immediately: the colors. It comes in two genuinely interesting options: Glowing Lunar White and Neptune Blue. According to realme, the moon-themed pattern on the Lunar White variant is made from a material that actually glows in the dark. And honestly, it does look pretty cool.

In a world where smartphone designs are getting increasingly stale, realme’s approach here is refreshing. The Neptune Blue variant, meanwhile, features an eco-leather back that adds a premium tactile feel to the package.

Apart from the color options, the rest of the design is where things get genuinely impressive. The P3 Ultra comes in at just 7.38mm thin for the plastic variant and 7.47mm for the eco-leather version. realme is advertising it as the slimmest quad-curve display smartphone in its class.

Both the front and back feature a 4D curve, which immediately elevates how the phone feels in the hand. It also carries an IP69 rating and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The 6.83-inch AMOLED display is where the P3 Ultra really shines. It runs a 1.5K resolution and peaks at 1,500 nits of brightness. The 120Hz refresh rate keeps things smooth, backed by a 240Hz touch sampling rate for snappy response. The bezels are also incredibly thin at just 1.6mm, giving the display a premium look.

Under the hood, the P3 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra. This is the same chip found on popular phones like the Infinix GT 30 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE 5, and it is one of the better-performing chips you can get.

Paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, day-to-day performance should be snappy. And for gamers, realme is making a bold claim, “stable 120FPS Gaming Until Power Off”. Whether that holds up in the real world remains to be seen, but it is a promising statement.

However, the one thing worth noting is the rectangular camera module with a noticeably large camera cutout. In an era where most phones have moved to a smaller camera cutout, this does give the P3 Ultra a slightly dated look despite everything else feeling modern. The camera specs are nothing extraordinary either.

The rear packs a 50MP Sony IMX896 main sensor with an 8MP ultrawide. On the front, there is a 16MP Sony selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The Sony branding on all three cameras is a good sign for image quality, and it adds a layer of credibility that some rivals miss out on.

For the battery, the P3 Ultra packs the same 6,000mAh unit as the standard P3, but the charging gets a significant upgrade, jumping from 45W on the P3 to 80W on the Ultra. realme claims that the charge goes from zero to full in just about 45 minutes, which is genuinely fast for a battery this size.

The phone also supports bypass charging, which routes power directly to the processor during gaming sessions, reducing heat and protecting battery health over time, a thoughtful addition for a phone that is clearly targeting performance-focused users.

Lastly, the phone ships with Android 15 wrapped in realme UI 6.0. Given the phone’s age, Android 15 is about as good as it gets here, and realme UI 6.0 is a reasonably clean experience, though some bloatware is to be expected.

The realme P3 Ultra is a genuinely interesting phone, and for the most part, it delivers where it counts. The Dimensity 8350 Ultra is a capable chip, the Sony camera sensors add real credibility, the 80W charging is fast, and that glowing Lunar White design is unlike anything else at this price. For a phone that debuted over a year ago, it has aged surprisingly well.

And ironically, the fact that it launched a year ago might actually work in its favor. Component prices were lower back then, which likely softened the impact of the recent RAM and storage price hikes, making the value proposition here even stronger than something like the Infinix Note 60. It is probably also why realme chose to bring the P3 series to Nepal rather than jumping straight to the P4.

That said, if you are torn between the P3 Ultra and rivals like the Infinix GT 30 Pro or OnePlus Nord CE 5, those phones do win on raw performance and price. But the catch is that both are increasingly hard to find as of mid-2026, and stock is running dangerously low.

So when you stack the P3 Ultra against what 2026 has actually brought to the Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000 segment, it holds its own surprisingly well. It is not the flashiest option, but right now, it might just be one of the smartest ones.
