Vivo V20 with a Massive 44MP Front Camera Launched in Nepal

vivo has officially launched its all-new smartphone, vivo V20, in Nepal today. The vivo V20 price in Nepal is Rs. 47,990 and is available in two colors: Midnight Jazz and Sunset Melody.

Vivo V20 is the successor of the Vivo V19 which was launched in Nepal a few months ago. The Vivo V20 comes with a 44MP selfie camera, which is very interesting. Now, let’s see what else it features!

vivo V20 Overview

Design

vivo V20 has a glass back with a different triple-camera module this time around. Vivo calls it Dual Tone Step design. Vivo is really focusing on sleek and light design with this new V20. It’s similar to the camera design of the vivo X50 Pro.

Also, the back cover of V20 features a stunning AG glass technology for a smooth grip. The AG Matte Glass provides a smudge-free and scratch resistance. The glass type also provides a soft and delicate touch.

On the front, it has a tear-dop notch with a single camera.

The design looks really sleek and premium. The bezels and chin look quite similar to the vivo V19.

Display

vivo V20 features a 6.44 inches Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The screen also supports HDR10 and Vivo claims max brightness of 1200 nits. This looks like the same display as the Vivo V19.

The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and boasts an impressive 83.7% screen-to-body ratio. However, it is not a high refresh rate display.

Hardware

vivo V20 features Snapdragon 720 chipset which is an 8nm chipset. It has an Octa-core CPU with two Kryo 465 Gold cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 6 Kryo 465 Silver cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It’s a definite step up from Snapdragon 712 used on the vivo V19.

For graphics, it has the Adreno 618 GPU. Along with Snapdragon 720, it will have 8GB RAM paired with 128GB onboard storage.

Snapdragon 720 is an excellent mid-range chipset which we have already seen on the likes of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and the newly launched Realme 7 Pro as well.

Camera

vivo V20 has a triple-camera setup with a 64 MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2MP monochrome sensor.

On the front vivo V19 had a dual-camera setup but the vivo V20 is set to come with a single massive 44MP sensor. And it will come with an Eye Autofocus feature allowing users to unlock a new world of creative possibilities. Besides, for selfie lovers and content creators, the phone comes with multiple modes, such as Super Night Selfie, Dual-view video, Slo-mo Selfie, 4K Selfie Video, Steadiface Selfie Video, and more.

Battery

vivo V20 features a 4000 mAh battery along with 33W fast charging. Since it’s a 33W charging, it is the same as the vivo V19’s Flash Charge 2.0. Vivo claims it can charge 54% in 30 min.

The battery is impressive and it should last for more than a day. Plus, Vivo Flash Charge 2.0 is also quite fast.

Moving on, vivo V19 runs on Funtouch OS 11 on top of Android 11. It has an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

It’s good that vivo is finally using the Snapdragon 720 but you can easily get the same chipset in more affordable smartphones. Other than that, it’s getting a new 64MP sensor on the rear and a 44MP sensor on the front.
