After skipping the Honor Magic 7 Pro, Celltron Nepal Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Honor phones in Nepal, has finally launched the Honor Magic 8 Pro in Nepal — and the launch offer might just be one of the best smartphone deals we’ve seen. Period.

The Magic series is Honor’s top-of-the-line lineup, featuring the latest flagship SoC, top-tier cameras, a massive battery, and long-lasting software support.
What is the Price of Honor Magic 8 Pro in Nepal?
The Honor Magic 8 Pro debuted in Nepal on 8 April 2026. Following in the footsteps of other flagships like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Honor has also nudged the Rs. 2,00,000 mark.
As such, the Honor Magic 8 Pro price in Nepal has been set at Rs. 1,99,999 for the sole 12/512GB variant. While that’s a noticeable jump over Honor’s previous flagship, the brand seems to be making up for it with an aggressive launch offer.
The Honor X9d’s launch offer already felt like the brand was on its A-game, but they’ve gone a step further with the Magic 8 Pro. They are bundling the X8b tablet for FREE! Yep. A Rs. 30,000 device handed out just like that! *snaps*
It might just be one of the craziest smartphone launch offers we’ve ever seen. Naturally, that begs the question — what’s a catch?
That would be, the offer is only valid if you pre-book the Magic 8 Pro by 16 April 2026. And that’s about it. Beyond that, there are no additional perks, like breakage insurance. Although 0% EMI financing is available, if you count that as an offer.

It was a shame that Honor Nepal failed to bring in the Magic 7 Pro. Compared to its predecessor, the Magic 6 Pro, the 7 Pro brought a faster processor, a better camera, a bigger battery with faster charging, and 7 years of OS updates. For me, that was not just an iterative upgrade; it was a generational one.
And seeing that we got both the Magic 5 Pro and Magic 6 Pro here, I was pretty excited about the 7 Pro. Sadly, the phone never made it to Nepal officially. Had it been available, it would have easily been a top contender in the flagship segment.
Thankfully, Honor Nepal is making up for lost time by bringing in the Magic 8 Pro — a phone that, on paper, checks every flagship box. After missing out on an entire generation, I have high hopes for this one.
Honor Magic 8 Pro Overview
The Magic 8 Pro carries on the iconic circular camera module we have seen since the Magic 3, housing three functional cameras within it.
The phone is also on the thicker side at 8.32mm. And with the bulky camera module on top, the overall thickness likely exceeds 10mm. The frame is aluminium, though the back has been downgraded to fiber-reinforced plastic. Cost-cutting or not, plastic on a flagship is hard to justify.
Despite the plastic back, the Magic 8 Pro still boasts an IP68/69/69K rating, meaning it can handle submersion, high-pressure water jets, and even steam exposure.

On the side of the frame, there is an extra button. Honor calls it the AI Button, and you can use it to summarise documents, open apps, or zoom in and out, similar to Apple’s camera control button.
Moving on to the display, it has shrunk slightly from 6.8 inches to 6.71 inches. That said, the specs remain mostly the same — a 120Hz LTPO OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 4,320Hz PWM dimming. Brightness now peaks at 1,800 nits in HBM mode, up from 1,600 nits. On top of that, the display is protected by Honor’s Anti-Scratch NanoCrystal Shield. Also, it comes with SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification, making it one of the most drop-resistant flagship phones in 2026.

Under the hood, the Magic 8 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 — the same chip found in other flagships this year, like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and OnePlus 15. Globally, it ships in 12/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants, out of which Nepal only gets the lower variant. Additionally, the phone supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
Shifting to the camera, the setup offers a notable upgrade over what was available in Nepal last year, i.e., the Magic 6 Pro.

The periscope lens is now 200MP up from 180MP last time, and it also optically zooms up to 3.7x. Main, ultrawide, and selfie cameras, meanwhile, retain their 50MP shooters. There is also a 3D depth camera that combines 3D ToF face unlock and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint for fast and secure biometric access.

On the video front, the Magic 8 Pro can now record 4K footage at up to 120FPS — double the 60FPS cap on the previous generation. Furthermore, Honor’s AiMAGE stabilization engine brings industry-first CIPA 6.5-stop stabilization, keeping handheld shots sharp and steady.
As for the battery, the global variant gets a massive 7,100mAh Si/C unit paired with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. It is 100mAh less than the one in the Chinese variant, but honestly, the difference is so negligible that you will never notice it in real-world usage. Either way, at 100W, a full charge should take just over 30 minutes.

On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 wrapped in MagicOS 10 and comes with 7 years of OS updates, matching Samsung’s flagship promise.
And finally, AI is everywhere on the Magic 8 Pro. From AI color tuning and AI eye comfort display to AI super resolution, AI screen suggestions, and frame generation technology — Honor has gone all in on AI this year.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro is a proper flagship. Everything from the performance, display, camera, and battery feels top-tier. That said, Honor could have done better on the build quality front.
Sure, the IP rating and SGS protection are great, but at the end of the day, a flagship phone should feel premium in the hand as well. Unfortunately, the fiber-reinforced plastic back could work against that. But again, I haven’t held the phone in my hands just yet, so it’s just something I am wary about.
As for the price, it’s alright. Xiaomi, which offered its flagship at just Rs. 1.5 lakh last year, has jumped to Rs. 2 lakh. So, Honor, which was already slightly more expensive than Xiaomi, hitting the same price does not surprise me at all.
But the free tablet they are bundling as a pre-booking offer is way too good to ignore. Even if the Honor Magic 8 turns out to be an average flagship phone, that offer alone has made me develop a soft spot for it. So, good job, Honor!
