OnePlus skipped the OnePlus 14 and jumped straight to the OnePlus 15, which launched first in China, later in India, and is now finally available for pre-booking in Nepal.

The OnePlus 15 is the first phone in Nepal to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and it boasts all the top-end specs you’d expect. It looks totally different from the OnePlus 13 with a fresh new design that clearly moves away from the previous generation.
What is the price of the OnePlus 15 in Nepal?
The OnePlus 15 price in Nepal is Rs. 1,59,999 for the single 16/512GB model. It comes in three colors: Ultra Violet, Infinite Black, and Sand Storm.
The phone is now available for pre-booking and will go on sale starting December 4. This year’s pre-booking offers are more appealing than usual, with two options to choose from:
- Offer 1: Free OnePlus 100W charger worth Rs. 4,400 + Rs. 10,000 cashback during the pre-book period
- Offer 2: OnePlus Watch 2 worth Rs. 49,000 for only Rs. 12,500
Besides these offers, the company is also providing one-year screen breakage insurance with the phone, and you can buy the phone on EMI as well.
I’ve got to admit, I’ve become a bit of a OnePlus fan lately, especially after the launch of the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5. Both phones hit that sweet spot of perfect pricing for the features they offer, something that’s getting rare these days. And that’s exactly why I had high hopes for OnePlus’ big flagship this year.
The previous flagship, the OnePlus 13, nailed its pricing strategy so well that it practically killed off the OnePlus 12 overnight. So naturally, I was expecting a similar story with the OnePlus 15. But now that the official pricing is out… yeah, I guess I was putting a bit too much faith in OnePlus this time.
Alright, let’s cut the chatter and jump right into what the latest OnePlus flagship has in store.
OnePlus 15 Overview
Things are finally starting to change with the OnePlus 15, especially in the design department. After years of sticking with the circular camera module, OnePlus has switched things up, this time going for a square camera island, and it’s definitely a unique one, to say the least.

The company is also touting what it calls a “Golden Geometric R angle”, which supposedly refines the phone’s overall curvature. But if I’m being honest, the front of the phone does give off strong iPhone vibes.
On the front, you’re greeted by a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display boasting a 95.5% screen-to-body ratio. And it shows, the bezels are almost non-existent. OnePlus also claims the screen can reach up to 165Hz refresh rate in certain scenarios, although the standard adaptive range remains 1–120Hz.
In addition, the display comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, along with a DisplayMate A++ rating. It’s also the world’s first screen to earn the “Little Gold Label” for eye protection.

Resolution-wise, the panel now drops to FHD+ from the QHD+ on the OnePlus 13. But since the display size has also slightly decreased, it shouldn’t be a deal-breaker.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip and a direct successor to the wildly popular Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (also known as Snapdragon 8 Elite).
You get 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. However, in Nepal, we are only getting the 16/512GB variant, similar to what happened with the OnePlus 13.
For photography, the OnePlus 15 packs a triple 50MP setup, one for each camera. The main sensor is the Sony LYT-700, while the telephoto lens uses Samsung’s JN5 sensor and now supports up to 3.5x optical zoom. The third is, of course, an ultrawide shooter. Up front, you get a 32MP selfie camera, which should handle portraits and video calls quite well.
Interestingly, with the Hasselblad partnership coming to an end, image processing is now handled entirely in-house by OnePlus’ own “Detail Max Engine.” It’ll be exciting to see how this shift affects the overall image tuning and color science.
Powering the device is a massive 7,300mAh battery, which supports 120W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging. On the software side, the OnePlus 15 runs Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 right out of the box. OnePlus is promising 5 years of software updates and 6 years of security patches.
Rounding out its features, the OnePlus 15 offers top-notch IP protection with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. It also packs an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a powerful stereo speaker setup for an immersive experience.

The OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be a near-perfect flagship, and thankfully, the global variant hasn’t changed much from its Chinese counterpart. With specs like these, it’s poised to be a serious challenger to upcoming heavyweights like the Galaxy S26 and Xiaomi 17 series.
But my only real complaint? The pricing. Looking at the numbers, it feels like OnePlus is slipping back into its old habit of slapping a premium phone with an overly premium price tag. The difference becomes even harder to swallow when you compare India vs. Nepal pricing; we’re seeing a massive Rs. 25,000 hike, which is honestly tough to justify.
For now, all we can do is hope for a solid price drop in the coming months. Fingers crossed that OnePlus Nepal pulls off another smart price correction, just like they’ve done with some previous models.
