Nova 2i, Huawei’s Best-selling Smartphone in Nepal

Leading smartphone brand Huawei has been in a steady climb towards popularity. Last year, Huawei overtook Apple as the world’s second-biggest smartphone manufacturer. It is an important milestone for the company looking to establish a global presence.

Just behind Samsung, which largely dominates sales thanks to their flagship devices like Samsung S9, S9+ and Note 8. Although, Huawei’s position in the top isn’t sustainable. It is largely due to lack of popularity in North America. But Huawei has successfully tackled this problem in the past. Introducing game changers like Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei Nova 2s, Huawei P10 Plus and fan-favorite Huawei Nova 2i.

Among the list of smartphones like Oppo F5 or Samsung J7 Pro, one stood out from the crowd; Huawei Nova 2i. According to Huawei Nepal, Nova 2i is the best-selling smartphones in the company’s history. So far, the company is well on its way to become a household name; all thanks to a smartphone like Nova 2i. According to Huawei Nepal, it has sold astounding 50,000+ units as of mid-March. The sales figure is expected to increase another 60%! With 30,000+ units anticipated to be sold within next three months. Despite being on the market for few months, the device is continuously updated.

For example, Nova 2i recently received “Facial Unlock” feature. This shows Huawei’s dedication towards their mid-range smartphones. But this is just a beginning for the company. It plans on build onto the success with two new releases: Huawei Y9 (2018) and Huawei Y7 Pro.

Huawei Nova 2i comes with a 5.9-inch full HD + Full view display with 1080×2160 resolution. Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 2i is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM & Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It comes with 64 GB of internal storage with expandable storage option via a Micro-SD card.

Like the Oppo F3, Huawei has a dual secondary camera with the main sensor being 13MP and the other at 2MP. Similarly, the dual rear camera setup at back consists of a 16MP main sensor and a 2MP support sensor. The Nova 2i runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1 on top.

The sensors included in this phone are fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, proximity and compass.
