Sometimes you don’t want the best performing smartphone in your pocket. You don’t want the gesture-based UI and fancy glass construction. Sometimes you don’t want the best camera either. What you may want is a phone that lasts all day long and even more.
You dream of a phone that will last you as long as the Nokia phones once did. Well, such longevity has not yet been reached in the smartphone realm, but we sure have got some phones that can last you two days if you have a light – moderate usage case. In the list below, we are diving into some of the best battery life smartphones in Nepal.Best Battery Life Smartphones in Nepal
Moto E4 Plus
Which phone suits better to start the list than the budget king from Moto? I don’t know how but Motorola crammed a 5000mAh battery inside these phones but what I know is they last very, very, very long. The combination of a gargantuan 5000mAh battery, a power sipping MediaTek Processor, a less demanding HD screen helps this phone go on after two days of heavy usage.
If you are a very light user, you might even see this phone chug along to the third day without charge. While the large battery comes as a boon for users, the time it takes to charge that large battery may not be much appreciated. The Moto E4 Plus takes approximately 3 hrs to fully charge with the included 5V/2A power brick as it has no support for any form of quick-charging.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus has a large 4000mAh battery and a modern 18:9 aspect ratio screen. This must be enough for most people to jump into buying this phone. But what makes the Redmi 5 Plus lasts so long is the power-efficient Qualcomm 625 chip. It lasts 13:36 hrs on GSMARENA’s web browsing test.
Though this may not mirror the real world usage, this gives you a general idea of the capability of its battery prowess. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, though it doesn’ support quick charge from Qualcomm, charges fairly quickly at 2 hrs. It can go from 0% to 29% in half an hour while being charged with the included 5V/2A adapter.

Umidigi S2 Pro
Umidigi might not sound familiar to most consumers in Nepal. It is not so popular in the international market too. But this Chinese manufacturer makes great phones and they are available in Nepal. The Umidigi S2 Pro speaks to the craftsmanship of this relatively new brand.
This phone looks stunning, especially in its red color with a screen of 18:9 aspect ratio. But the real deal is the battery inside. It measures at 5100mAh. Umidigi even markets this phone as the world’s first two-day lasting full-screen phone. And we dare not disagree, for it provides a great battery life and a great hardware for a lesser price than most of the flagships.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro
Finally a phone from the brand that everyone knows. Samsung is the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. And probably the most known. It produces smartphones in every budget segment and for every available market. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is a midrange device from Samsung, and it houses the smallest battery among any smartphones on this list.
But don’t be fooled by the size of the battery. It is still significantly larger than found on most other phones at 3600 mAh. Couple this battery with clever battery management tricks from Samsung, the power-sipping (and gorgeous) AMOLED screen, we have a battery that is more than capable of lasting a day and a half of light usage.

Coolpad Coolplay 6
Coolpad is a phone manufacturer from China that is especially known for its budget phones. The Coolpad Coolplay 6, however, is a slightly expensive model that wants to offer you the best bang for your bucks. If you want to know more about the Coolpad Coolplay 6, do check out our review.
And as our friend Prabesh has already given his verdict on the battery of this phone, I would simply quote him here.
“Talking about the battery, it’s probably the best thing about this phone. It. Is. Freaking. Amazing. It has a 4000 mAh battery which gives you well over 10 hours of screen time. For me, this device lasted for almost a day and a half. But the downside to having such a humongous battery is that it takes absolutely ages to fully charge. It took me just over 2 and a half hours to fully charge this device from 0% battery. And well, it doesn’t have fast charging, so that’s a bummer.” – Prabesh Paudel

So, its battery life is pretty great. This phone can give you a consistent two day of battery life. And as a bonus, Gionee M7 Power also supports fast charging and includes a 9V/2A fast charger right out of the box which charges the phone from 10% to 80% in 2.5 hours.

Nokia 2
How could we miss a Nokia phone when we were talking about battery life. You remember your feature phones, their rugged build, their functional design and most of all their battery life that lasted for days. This Nokia Phone does not have the battery life that competes at the same level but it still offers one of the best battery life in today’s smartphone era. Inside the Nokia 2 lies a 4100mAh battery, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212, which is a very power-efficient but not so powerful chip. It will last at least 2 days of moderate use.
But we don’t recommend you to buy this phone because it has a very dismal performance. Sorry, Nokia. But we do love other Nokia phones such as Nokia 6 and Nokia 8. Also, the battery takes ages to charge. It takes half an hour to top up just 10% of the battery as it doesn’t support fast charging.
Nokia 2 Key Specifications
- Display: 5.0 inches IPS LCD
- Chipset: Qualcomm MSM8909v2 Snapdragon 212
- CPU: Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7
- GPU: Adreno 304

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
Xiaomi really provides great battery life even in its cheapest phones. So, it is no surprise that Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has one of the best battery life among smartphones on the Nepalese market. The 4100 mAh battery inside the metal body of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is not the largest included on the list. But if you have read this article until now, you probably understand by now that the size of the battery is not the only factor that affects battery life.
The processor, the screen, and the software battery optimization play a very important role to add to the longevity of the phone. And that is how this phone lasts 1 and a half day of heavy usage and 15 hours in a continuous video playback loop. The phone has no official support for a quick charge technology but it takes 2 hrs to fully charge with a 5V/2A charging brick. This phone is one of the top performers in GSMARENA’s battery life tests.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2
The name of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 really captures the essence of this phone. You are getting everything scaled up. The screen is a huge 6.4″ FHD screen which makes this phone a little unwieldy to use. A 5300mAh battery, whatever the specs inside the phone will be sure to make the phone last two days with heavy usage.
Xiaomi flaunts 10 days of music playback, 18 hours of video playback, 19 hours of reading time, and 9 hours of gaming with the Mi Max 2. This phone also supports QuickCharge 3.0 and parallel charging helping the battery reach 100% from 0% within 2 hrs. That is very impressive considering the size of the battery.
