OPPO’s Reno lineup has always been known for offering great specs at a reasonable price. However, the “F” variants, like the Reno12 F and 13 F, have often missed the mark, failing to deliver that same balanced experience.

With the launch of the Reno14 F, OPPO has a genuine opportunity to regain its momentum. However, the pricing strategy raises some early concerns. Let’s take a closer look at why this might be an issue.
What is the price of the OPPO Reno14 F in Nepal?
The OPPO Reno14 F price in Nepal is Rs. 57,999 for the sole 12/512GB variant.
As of writing this article, it’s been almost three months since the OPPO Reno14 F made its global debut. And now, OPPO Nepal has officially launched the phone, and it is available for purchase in authorised OPPO retail stores.
Buyers can also get the OPPO Reno14 F on 0% EMI with 40% down payment and 12-month easy installments through Goodwill Finance. According to OPPO, this is part of their launch offer, but considering that EMI options have always been available for the Reno series, it’s hardly a surprise.

Much like Vivo’s V series, the OPPO Reno lineup also follows a six-month release cycle. At first, I didn’t think such a short gap would allow for any major improvements, but Vivo V60 proved me wrong.
So now, I’m genuinely curious (and a bit hopeful) to see what OPPO’s upcoming Reno14 F brings to the table.
OPPO Reno14 F Overview
The OPPO Reno14 F follows an almost identical design to its older sibling, the Reno14, featuring the same squaricle camera module that houses a triple-camera setup. I’ve got to hand it to OPPO for including both IP68 and IP69 ratings.

According to the brand, the brightness is also 100% higher than the Reno13 F, which should mean better night photography. Surprisingly, the screen size has slightly dropped to 6.57 inches. It’s still an AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, standard stuff for a midrange phone.
Battery capacity gets a small bump to 6,000mAh (up by 200mAh), while charging speed remains the same at 45W.

Under the hood, the Reno14 F runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. Yes, it’s 5G-ready, but performance-wise, rivals are far ahead in the race. Still, credit where it’s due, OPPO has included a 4,290mm² vapor chamber for improved thermals.
You’re also getting 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while the camera department remains unchanged. The Reno14 F continues with the familiar 50MP + 8MP + 2MP setup on the back and a 32MP front camera, the same configuration we’ve seen since the Reno12 F.

OPPO Reno14 F in Nepal: Rs. 57,999 (12/512GB)
Just like previous Reno F models, the Reno14 F also seems to under-deliver, especially considering its current price. And the main culprit? The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.
With newer Snapdragon 4 Gen series chips rolling out left and right, sticking with an older Gen 1 processor feels like a questionable choice.

To put things into perspective, at the price of the Reno14 F, you could pick up a Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, which offers a far superior chipset, a telephoto lens, and a cleaner OS experience. Even phones priced significantly lower, like the Infinix GT 30 Pro, OnePlus Nord CE 5, or the Nothing Phone (3a), all deliver better value for money.
