Since the Nepali market didn’t get the Nord CE 4 officially, users have had to settle for the Nord CE 3 or CE 4 Lite to get that OnePlus Nord experience. Well, not anymore.

The Nord CE 5 is a lighter version of the Nord 5, which is also expected to launch around the same time.

Currently, the specs are a bit of a mystery. However, judging by the overall design, the CE 5 closely resembles the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing, which was launched exclusively in China.

If the rumors circulating online are true, the same phone—with a few tweaks here and there—could launch globally under the name Nord CE 5.

Let’s dive in and take a look at the rumored specs this phone might offer.

OnePlus Nord CE 5 Overview

Design

Apart from its flagship lineups, OnePlus has had a hard time sticking the landing with a consistent design—especially in the Nord series.

However, this year’s Nord CE 5 shares some design similarities with last year’s CE4, like the pill-shaped dual camera module, which, in my opinion, gives off a bit of a Samsung-like vibe.

The phone features a plastic body and flat frames, with the volume rocker and power button on the sides. The bottom houses the usual USB-C port and a speaker grille.

According to rumors, the phone may not have a dual-speaker setup. Last year’s CE4 came with an IP54 ingress rating, and this year, the rating should ideally be bumped to at least IP64—especially considering that some phones in the same price range offer IP68 or even IP69.

Just from appearances, the Nord CE 5 looks like a near replica of OnePlus’s China-exclusive Ace 5 Racing Edition.

Display

Since the official specs aren’t out yet, the phone’s display size is expected to be 6.77 inches—just like the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing. Along with that, it features an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The display also supports 10-bit color depth, offering up to 1 billion colors. Brightness starts at 800 nits (typical) and peaks at 1300 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM).

If the phone follows the trend set by the CE4, the CE5 might even support HDR10+.

Hardware

The CE 5 gets the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 to handle all the processing. If the expected pricing holds, the phone could easily be one of the top contenders in the under Rs. 50,000 price bracket.

The processor is an absolute powerhouse, with clock speeds reaching up to 3.35GHz.

In the memory department, the phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. However, more variants with higher RAM and storage are available globally.

There are also rumors that the phone includes a vapor chamber to reduce thermal throttling, but that remains uncertain for now.

Cameras

Shifting our focus to the cameras, the CE 5 features a 50MP Sony sensor. However, OnePlus has yet to confirm exactly which sensor is being used. Alongside it, there’s an 8MP ultrawide shooter.

On the front, the phone houses a 16MP selfie camera. In terms of video, it’s rumored that the rear camera can shoot up to 4K at 30fps, while the front camera supports up to 1080p at 60fps.

Battery and OS

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 features a massive 7,100mAh battery. Despite its size, OnePlus has managed to keep the phone fairly slim, thanks to the use of a Silicon-Carbon battery.

It’s also possible that they packed two 3,550mAh batteries (7,100mAh total) in a series configuration—similar to what they did with the OnePlus Nord 4—but that’s just my speculation.

For charging, the phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC, as opposed to the 100W charging found on the OnePlus Nord CE 4. Given the larger battery, 100W fast charging would have made more sense.

In terms of software, the phone runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 applied on top.

OnePlus Nord CE 5 Price in Nepal and Availability

The price of the OnePlus Nord CE 5 could be Rs. 48,999 for the 8/256GB variant.

The phone has yet to be released globally; however, Daraz has already started teasing it, signaling an imminent launch in Nepal alongside the global debut.

OnePlus Nord CE 5 Price in Nepal [Expected]
8/128GB Rs. 48,999

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 is shaping up to be one of the best options in the under Rs. 50,000 segment. The MediaTek 8350 alone puts it head-to-head with competitors like the Infinix GT 30 Pro. And the 7,100mAh battery is practically unheard of in this price range.

However, the camera department seems a bit underwhelming based on the leaks we’ve seen so far—but I could be wrong.
