Every other week, we see the launch of a new SUV in India. Just a few weeks ago, we saw the launch of Tata Harrier and MG Hector that brought some new changes to the competitive market. Those changes included new front design, new styling, new engine, and new technology.
As we expected, the market followed soon. So, its Hyundai’s turn to introduce their take on the “new SUV design” in 2019 Hyundai Venue. With Hyundai Venue’s launch in India, this opens the question…
“Will 2019 Hyundai Venue launch in Nepal?”
So, let’s get that out of the way. Yes, 2019 Hyundai Venue will launch in Nepal. However, predicting the launch date of a car is fairly difficult when compared to a motorcycle. Moreover, the exact date will totally depend on the authorized distributors, making it more difficult to predict.
But sometime this year, 2019 Hyundai Venue is expected to launch in Nepal. As for the pricing, 2019 Hyundai Venue price is Nepal is yet to be revealed. Nevertheless, it is expected to be highly competitive compared to the “premium” SUVs currently in the market.
2019 Hyundai Venue Overview
Hyundai Venue marks the first-ever sub-4m compact SUV from the company. Based on the variant, it is powered a 1.2-liter petrol engine which generates max torque of 115Nm and max power of 83bhp. Moreover, it is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Likewise, a much more powerful turbocharged 1.0-liter Kappa petrol engine is also available. This engine can generate max torque of 172Nm and max-power of 118bhp. Furthermore, it is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission (also available in 7-speed dual clutch transmission).
Similarly, Hyundai Venue is also available in a diesel variant. It is powered by a 1.4-liter diesel engine which generates max torque of 220Nm and max power of 89bhp.
Moving onto the styling, both the exterior and the interior follow the “premium SUV” vibe. You get a large chrome mesh grille and new front headlamp design. Similarly, you will continue to get the “premium finish” inside the car which includes leather interiors, glossy finish, and metal finish.
2019 Hyundai Venue is available in seven different color variations: Star Dust, Fiery Red, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Deep Forest, Lava Orange, and Denim Blue. Additionally, Blue with White roof, White with Black roof, and Orange with Black roof are another three dual-tone exterior color variants.
2019 Hyundai Venue Features
2019 Hyundai Venue comes with an 8-inch touch infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) which will include Blue Link connectivity tech. This is very similar to MG’s “Inside Internet” system which allows the car to send Auto Crash Notification, Panic Notification, Vehicle Tracking, and Emergency Assistance, among others. Air Purifier, Wireless Charging, Eco Coating among others are another list of features.
Talking about the safety features, the 2019 Hyundai Venue comes with the latest and greatest. You will get Dual Front Airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX, Parking Sensors, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, and Crash Sensing Auto Door Unlock. Well, these are pretty standard for 2019 SUVs. However, you can get “top-variant” features like Auto Headlamps with Escort Function, Cornering Lamps, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist, and Six Airbags.
Lately, every other SUV companies are trying to offer a unique SUV experience. What do they share in common? Well, offer everything nice at a competitive price. As you may know, the SUV segment is one of the highly competitive segments in Nepal, as well as the world. So, how can a car manufacturer make things exciting? Trying to offer everything the competition has but at a steeper price. And, Hyundai Venue carries a considerable amount of power to disturb the newly launched MG Hector and Tata Harrier, which offers premium features at a kind of premium price.
In Nepal’s context, Hyundai Creta has always been a go-to SUV for a long time. Maybe… with the launch of Hyundai Venue in Nepal, it will finally replace Hyundai Creta as the next go-to SUV.
