realme did not really wow me in 2025. Most of their launches were a bit underwhelming, and it felt like the brand was just going through the motions. But things completely changed when realme brought one of the cheapest flagship phones, the GT 8 Pro. Now, they are spicing things up further by debuting the P series for the first time in Nepal with two phones in the P3 lineup, the realme P3 and the realme P3 Ultra. Here, we will be focusing on just the realme P3.

The realme P3 is not exactly a new phone. In fact, it has been more than a year since it had its global debut, and the P4 series has already been launched globally since then. Why realme Nepal waited this long to bring the P3 here is anyone’s guess. But then again, if the specs hold up, who am I to complain? So let’s find out if they do.
What is the Price of realme P3 in Nepal?
The realme P3 positions itself as an upper-budget phone based on its specs. In India, the phone costs INR 19,999, which converts to roughly Rs. 30,000 in Nepali currency. But given the current situation, we all know the phone is unlikely to land at that price here.
With factors like memory shortages, rising transportation costs, and a sky-high dollar rate, the realme P3 price in Nepal could land at around Rs. 39,999 for the 8/256GB variant. And with the smartphone market the way it is right now, price hikes left and right, I would not be surprised if it comes in with a semi-premium price tag, either.
That said, we will not have to wait long. The phone has not officially launched in Nepal just yet, but realme is planning to launch both the P3 and P3 Ultra this coming Sunday.
In the gadget world, where new tech drops constantly, a year-old phone is practically ancient. We saw something similar with Honor recently, where they launched the year-old Pad V9 in Nepal, but luckily, the Pad V9 had decent enough specs to stay relevant, and its age did not particularly matter.
So does the age actually matter for the realme P3? Let’s get into the overview and find out.

realme P3 Overview

One noticeable change with the P3 series is the design. Unlike the P1 and P2 series, which consistently featured circular camera modules, the P3 switches to a rectangular camera layout.
But even with the new design choice, the phone feels dated. Launching in 2026, when most phones have a small-looking rear camera, the big camera cutout here instantly makes it feel like a phone from a previous generation.
Apart from that, the rest of the design feels very much like a 2026 phone, flat back, flat frame, exactly what most phones have been going for lately.
The P3 comes in two color options for Nepal: Comet Gray and Starlight Green. There is also a Space Silver variant that is not coming to Nepal, and it looks almost identical to the realme 14 with a gaming-inspired aesthetic.
Speaking of the realme 14, after checking both phones’ specs, it turns out the dimensions are identical, with only a few minor changes. It looks very much like realme tweaked the realme 14, slapped on a new camera module, and launched it as the P3.

Even the 6.67-inch screen size is the same. So is the AMOLED panel and the FHD+ resolution. It runs at 120Hz and offers 600 nits of typical brightness, peaking at 2,000 nits, again, similar to the realme 14. The display is not bad by any means, and you will not have any issues with it for everyday use.
The only concern is the 600 nits typical brightness, which is on the lower side. You may find yourself squinting at the screen in direct sunlight. And while the 2,000 nits peak brightness sounds impressive, it is not a reliable metric for judging real-world display performance. Peak brightness is usually only hit for a fraction of a second under very specific conditions, like HDR content, and does not represent what you see during everyday use.
Moving to internals, the P3 features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, again, the same as the realme 14. It is the successor to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 found on the Samsung Galaxy A36. It is not a bad chipset by any means, but whether it offers good value depends entirely on the final pricing when the phone launches here.
The realme P3 also packs a vapour chamber with a 6,050mm² heat dissipation area, which should help keep things cool when gaming sessions get intense.
Paired with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with a hybrid microSD card slot.
The camera is also on the stale side, with just a single 50MP main shooter. You may have noticed what looks like a second rear camera, but it is just an auxiliary lens that serves no real purpose. Even realme’s own official website has completely ignored it. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera.

The battery is a chunky 6,000mAh unit. realme is calling it a “Titan Battery,” similar to how other brands market silicon-carbon batteries, but this one does not appear to be one. The company has not explicitly mentioned it, and the realme 14 played a similar marketing game.
Regardless of the battery chemistry, 6,000mAh is still an absolute unit of battery. To charge it, there is 45W wired charging. But what is actually cool is the inclusion of bypass charging. Its a feature that redirects power directly to the system rather than the battery when you plug in while gaming, keeping temperatures lower during long sessions.
Given that the phone is about a year old at this point, getting Android 15 with realme UI 6.0 out of the box was somewhat inevitable, but honestly, it is hard to complain too much about it.

The realme P3 is a decent enough phone on paper, but it is hard to get excited about a year-old device. The display, processor, and camera all tell a story we have heard before, and the lack of a silicon-carbon battery and the oversized camera cutout do not help its case either.
That said, pricing will be everything here. If realme Nepal gets it right and brings it in under Rs. 40,000, the P3 could still find its audience. But if it comes in higher, there are simply fresher and better-value options available right now. We will have a clearer picture once the official price drops this Sunday.
