Are you searching for the best mobile phones under 50000 in Nepal? Are you shopping for a mid-ranger and worried you might not find a phone worth your money?
Worry not as even affordable budget smartphones in Nepal these days are getting better and better. As such, phones in this segment will have decent features as well.
But, don’t you think there are too many smartphones out there and it’s hard to decide which phone to buy for Rs. 50,000 in Nepal?
While having many choices is a good thing, it can create confusion among consumers as to which smartphone to buy.
So, if you’re looking to buy a mid range smartphone, we’ve put together a list of the best phones under 50000 in Nepal. We’ve included the pros and cons of all the phones as well so that you can pick the best one for you.
Prices may Vary
It’s worth noting that all the prices shown below were accurate at the time of writing. As smartphone prices can fluctuate with time and new offers being rolled out, you may find some phones have had their pricing altered when you go shopping for them.
Also, we have decided to include phones that are over Rs. 50,000 by a few thousand rupees. This was done so that worthy phones wouldn’t get disqualified over a technicality.
We suggest you buy these phones from authorized stores and not grey channels as they may lead to issues down the road. This list of best mobile phones under 50000 in Nepal is based on our opinion and testing.
Choosing Phones Under 50000 in Nepal 2024
Whether you are a tech wizard or someone who has no idea about technology at all, we hope to help you out either way. Below is a list of qualities that are generally considered to be the pillars of a good mobile under 50000 in Nepal.
Now remember, some phones may be good at one thing and bad at the other. We’ll base our list on these pillars and choose the phones that provide an overall value that’s worthy of your money.
Build Quality
Everyone would love to see a metal frame and ceramic back on their phones.
You can expect metal frames and glass back panels in smartphones under Rs. 50000 in Nepal. Also, phones in this price range usually come with some sort of IP rating for dust and water resistance.
Display
A higher resolution means a sharper display, a higher refresh rate means a faster display, and higher brightness means, well, the display can get bright.
On smartphones with display sizes ranging from 6″ to 6.9″, FHD+ resolution is usually considered the sweet spot and you should look for faster refresh rates as well.
At this price segment, you will find phones with FHD+ resolution AMOLED panels and over 90Hz refresh rate. Also, the bezels should be pretty thin and symmetrical across all sides.
Performance
The chip is what drives the smartphone and is probably the most confusing part for anyone who is shopping for one.
Generally, you can look at the clock speed and core count to make a vague estimation of the quality and performance of the chip. If you’re not convinced, you can read our review for the full details.
Camera
It’s a bit difficult to confidently say if a phone takes good photos as much of it is software-based optimizations now. You can read our reviews or look at a brand’s reputation for image processing.
The technology has improved to the point that most phones take really good photos given good lighting conditions, you can expect phones in this price range to take decent daylight photos when there is enough light for the sensor and useable night shots as well.
Battery
The general notion is that a larger battery will last longer. At least a capacity of 4500mAh has seemed to become the norm, even among budget phones.
Also, 30W to 60W is considered fast charging. In this budget, you can expect over 30W to be the norm.

Best Phones Under 50000 in Nepal 2024
#5. Realme 10 Pro Plus
Realme 10 Pro Plus Verdict
For the overall features, we can say that the Realme 10 Pro Plus is a great smartphone. It has an excellent display, an attractive design, a solid battery life with incredible fast charging support, great performance, and premium haptic feedback. But yes, it’s not perfect and as such, just about makes the list.
Rs. 45,999 (8/128GB)
Pros
- Excellent and fluid curved AMOLED display
- Thin and light design
- Great performance
- Solid battery life
- Incredibly fast charging
- A decent set of cameras
- Good software experience
Cons
- Plethora of bloatware apps and ads
- No ingress protection rating against dust and water
- No OIS, EIS only works for 1080p 30fps and lower
Reasons to Buy
The design of the phone is very flashy with a plastic frame and plastic back. The phone has a curved back which along with the curved display makes it feel very thin.
This was the first phone from the series to get a curved display. It’s a 6.7-inch Full HD+ panel. The screen refreshes at 120Hz and the colors on the display are excellent with vivid colors, and the touch response also feels fast. This display is HDR10+ certified and boasts a 2160Hz PWM dimming as well.
The 10 Pro+ uses a Dimensity 1080 chipset which performs wonderfully in real-life usage. Everything runs smoothly and without any hiccups.
The phone comes with a triple camera setup: a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro. The main camera takes good pictures, but the colors seem washed out. However, the details and sharpness are great with the dynamic range also being quite good.

Realme has managed to put a 5000mAh battery inside the 10 Pro Plus. The battery life is excellent on this device. You can easily get at least a full day on a single charge. Also, with the supported charger, in just 30 minutes, you can get up to over 80 percent from a dead battery, which is really impressive.
The Realme 10 Pro Plus comes with Realme 4.0 for Android 13. The software gives lots of customization options and the overall smoothness is also quite good.
Reasons to Avoid
One major complaint about the software is that it comes with a ton of bloatware apps and ads. For a phone of this price, it really takes away from the experience. The bloatware apps also send spammy notifications, but fortunately, you can uninstall them.
There is no ingress protection on the phone. At this price range, it is expected to have an IP rating. If you use your phone mostly outdoors, the lifespan can be drastically reduced due to the missing protection.
In the main camera, there is no OIS available. The EIS also only kicks in at 1080p@30fps or lower. All of this results in a merely satisfactory but not noteworthy video quality.

#4. Realme 11 Pro
Realme 11 Pro Verdict
This phone from Realme, the 11 Pro, is a well-designed phone with a premium faux leather finish that sets it apart from the rest of the mid-range phones. The lack of an ultrawide camera is its major Achilles heel. But the overall stats of the phone allowed it to secure its position on the list of best phones under 50000 in Nepal.
Rs. 47,999 (8/256GB)
Pros
- Premium leather finish
- Excellent and fluid curved AMOLED display
- Good performance
- A decent main camera
- Solid battery life
- Good fast charging
- Good software experience
Cons
- Plethora of bloatware apps and ads
- No ultrawide-angle camera
- No ingress protection rating against dust and water
Reasons to Buy
Realme 11 Pro looks absolutely premium and the leather finish feels excellent in hand. The rear panel and the front glass both curve towards the plastic frame while the circular camera module is catchy and gives this device a unique characteristic. Awesome design.
The 6.7-inch 1080p OLED panel supports 10-bit color and refreshes at 120Hz. For the price, the display of the Realme 11 Pro is pretty impressive.
Under the hood is the Dimensity 7050 chipset and in terms of memory, it comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. In daily usage, the phone runs smoothly without a hitch and also stays relatively cool while doing so.
Moving on to the cameras, it has a 100MP OIS primary camera and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera takes good photos in daylight with balanced exposure and a wide dynamic range while retaining details in the shadows as well.

The Realme 11 Pro comes with a 5000mAh battery, the same as the Realme 10 Pro Plus. It has a good battery life netting about 7 hours of screen time on a fairly consistent basis. Also, it supports 67W fast charging but comes with an 80W charger. The SuperVOOC charger only takes 50 mins to fully charge the Realme 11 Pro from 0%.
You get Android 13 out of the box on the phone with the same Realme 4.0 we saw on the 10 Pro Plus. It’s still smooth with lots of customization options.
Reasons to Avoid
As before, the phone comes with a ton of bloatware apps. The saving grace is that it is possible to uninstall them and you’ll want to uninstall them as they give spam notifications.
The phone lacks an ultrawide camera. A mid-range phone without an ultrawide that’s even available in phones of much lower budget doesn’t show a good look to the phone.
There’s no Ingress protection on the phone so you’ll have to be extra careful when using it.

#3. Xiaomi 12 Lite
Xiaomi 12 Lite Verdict
The phone provides you with a nice balance of performance, design, and camera. It is the Lite version of Xiaomi 12, a flagship phone from Xiaomi.
Rs. 50,999 (6/128GB)
Rs. 53,999 (8/128GB)
Pros
- Good design
- Impressive camera
- Amazing display
- Good performance
- Fast charging
Cons
- Ultrawide camera
- Plastic frame
- Smaller battery capacity
Reasons to Buy
Xiaomi 12 Lite is a sleek-looking phone with a thickness of 7.29mm and is a pretty light phone that weighs 173g. It looks pretty good as it borrows the same design elements and identical camera setup from the more expensive Xiaomi 12.
The 12 Lite gets a 108MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. The main camera captures excellent photos in daylight with good sharpness and resolves fine details. The dynamic range is quite wide with boosted color and contrast.
The flagship-grade display is a 12-bit color panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch response rate. it is also HDR 10+ certified and the panel is bright making it usable even outdoors.
Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 778G 5G and the phone comes in two variants: 6/128GB and 8/128GB with UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM. The Snapdragon 778G is a good performer for the price range and outperforms all alternatives with Snapdragon 600 series chipsets and most of MediaTek’s mid-range offerings as well.
The charging speed is quite fast with the 67W fast charger, taking 50 mins to fully charge the 4300mAh battery.
Reasons to Avoid
The Ultrawide camera could’ve been better. It’s only an 8MP sensor so it wont have a lot of details for such a wide POV of 120°.
The phone comes with a plastic frame that takes away from the premium feeling of the phone a bit. It’s not bad by any means but you’d expect better materials at this price range.
While the phone does charge quite quickly, the battery is also on the smaller side with a 4300mAh capacity.

#2. Samsung Galaxy A34
Samsung Galaxy A34 Verdict
A Samsung midrange phone that offers good design, display, and performance. That is what the A34 is all about. The front does look a bit outdated due to the notch but it’s still a good buy nonetheless.
Rs. 45,999 (8/128GB)
Pros
- Good design
- IP67 certified
- 120Hz AMOLED
- 4K video from both cameras
- 5000mAh battery
Cons
- 25W charging
- Plastic build
- Teardrop notch
Reasons to Buy
The phone follows the design philosophy of Samsung’s S series lineup. The phone has an individual camera lens arrangement and is certified for IP67 dust and water resistance.
The Super AMOLED panel on this phone refreshes at 120Hz and can reach a max brightness of 1000nits under HBM. It’s decently sized at 6.6 inches and is a joy to use.

Something quite rare, for phones even in this price range, is front videos in 4K resolution. Not a lot of phones offer that but the A34 shoots 4K footage, on both the front and rear cameras at that.
The large 5000mAh battery will also easily last you a day of moderate usage.
Reasons to Avoid
The phone supports only 25W fast charging and it also doesn’t ship with a charger at that.
Samsung A34 5G comes with a plastic back and plastic frame. At first glance, it looks like glass at the back, but it’s plastic and takes away the premium feel that you expect from mobiles under 50,000 in Nepal.
The largest downside of the phone has to be the outdated teardrop notch. A hole punch cutout would’ve really stepped up the beauty game for this phone.
Samsung Galaxy A34 5G Specifications
- Display: 6.6 inches Super AMOLED, 1080 x 2340, 19.5:9, 120Hz
- Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 5
- Chipset: Mediatek MT6877V Dimensity 1080 (6 nm)
- CPU: Octa-core (2×2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)

- OS: Android 13, One UI 5.1

#1. Samsung Galaxy F54
Samsung Galaxy F54 Verdict
Our winner for the best phones under 50000 in Nepal is the Galaxy F54. It improves on our 2nd place choice and hence takes the throne. The phone itself is a rebranded version of the M54 but it’s still a good phone in 2024 at this price.
Rs. 52,499 (8/256GB)
Pros
- 120Hz AMOLED
- 108MP camera
- 6000mAh battery
Cons
- Plastic build
- 25W fast charging
Reasons to Buy
With a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display that refreshes at 120Hz, the viewing experience on this phone is amazing. The display has a punch hole cutout and the bezels are thin as well. It’s immersive and the display quality is what you’d expect from Samsung phones.
The back has a 108MP main camera with OIS. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The phone takes good pictures and the 108MP helps with capturing finer details as well.
A 6000mAh battery with Samsung’s optimization is surely going to show you a good time. The battery will easily last a day of moderate usage, maybe even more.
Reasons to Avoid
A premium price but not so premium materials. The phone is made from plastic.
The battery sure is large, but with only 25W fast charging support, it’s gonna take a while.
