OnePlus has raised the price of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G in Nepal. The phone was launched in May 2022 in the country.

Now, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 40,999 (8/128GB). You can buy the phone from mobile retail stores across Nepal.

The company also increased the price of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G. OnePlus had also launched the OnePlus 10R along with the Nord CE 2 Lite, but the former may not come to Nepal.

Anyway, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, as the name suggests, is the lite version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G that was launched just around 2 months ago in Nepal.

Design

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a dual-tone finish on the back. The upper portion of the back has a pinstripe pattern, while the rest has a clean matte finish with a OnePlus logo in the middle.

Both the back and the frame are made of plastic. It has a similar camera bump design that we saw on the Realme 9 Pro+, with two vertically placed huge camera circles and two small circles beside them for the other camera and flash.

The fingerprint sensor is given on the power button located on the right side. The left side has volume up and down buttons and a hybrid SIM card slot, while the bottom houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone, USB-C port, and a speaker.

It includes a 6.59-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner.

The display refresh at up to 120Hz, which is higher than the 90Hz of the more expensive Nord CE 2. But the Nord CE 2 has an AMOLED display instead.

Hardware

Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. The chipset comes with an octa-core CPU architecture consisting of two Kryo 660 Gold (2.2 GHz) and six Kryo 660 Silver (1.7 GHz), and an Adreno 619 GPU.

The phone comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports a microSD card but uses a shared SIM card clot.

Camera

The smartphone has a triple-camera setup. The setup includes a 64MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. It drops an ultrawide camera.

On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera. The phone can record up to 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery

It comes with a 5000mAh battery. The phone comes with 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging support.

In terms of software, it comes with an OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12.

When the phone arrived in Nepal in May 2022, it was cheaper by Rs. 1,000. The company said it hiked the price of the phone in response to the decision of the Government of Nepal to increase the excise duty on imports from 2.5% to 5%.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is a lite version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G. The Nord CE 2 Lite replaces the Dimensity 900 of the Nord CE 2 with the Snapdragon 695 chipset.

It has a 120Hz refresh rate compared to 90Hz on the OnePlus Nord CE 2, but the display has been downgraded to an IPS LCD from an AMOLED.

Similarly priced Realme 9 Pro+ seems a better deal as it features an AMOLED panel, a better Dimensity 920 5G SoC, and stereo speakers.
