Moto G45 5G Overview
Design
The Moto G45 5G continues the premium design trend seen in higher-end Motorola phones, sporting a vegan leather back panel that offers a better grip. The phone remains slim and easy to carry at 183 grams. The frame features flat plastic edges and a Dolby Atmos logo on the top, with the volume and power button/fingerprint sensor combo located on the right.
On the left is the SIM slot, the back panel is clean, with the iconic Motorola logo in the middle and a dual-camera setup on a slightly elevated island. The bottom edge houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille.
The device has a water-repellant design as Motorola likes to put it instead of calling it IP52 splash-resistant.
The Moto G45 5G comes in stylish colors like Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta, enhancing its overall look. The display fits well with the design, giving it a sleek and modern feel, complemented by smooth edges and a punch-hole front camera.

Display
The Moto G45 5G boasts a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth transitions and an immersive viewing experience. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
With a 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, it gets a pixel density of 270ppi which might be a bummer to some.
Hardware
Under the hood, the Moto G45 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, an evolved version of the Snapdragon 695. This means it is a capable SOC and paired with the Adreno 619 GPU, the performance aspect of the phone is above and beyond its price point.
It comes with 4GB of RAM for the base variant and goes up to 8GB of RAM. The scrutiny, however, is that the storage config maxes out at 128GB of storage which is expandable via microSD but you’ll have to give up the second SIM card for it is a hybrid slot.
Camera
The Moto G45 5G features a dual-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor that is capable of shooting 1080p footage at 30fps and a secondary 2MP camera for macro shots. Considering the price, there’s not much to crib about.
The 16MP front camera is ideal for selfies and video calls and can also shoot 1080p videos.
Battery and OS
The Moto G45 5G is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging over the USB C 2.0 port and has support for PD and QC charging.
Running on Android 14, the Moto G45 5G offers a clean and near-stock user interface with the inclusion of Motorola’s My UX enhancing the user experience with customizable options and useful gestures. What’s plausible is that even this entry-level offering brings smart-connect to the table but it’s exclusive to the 8GB RAM variant.
