Zeekr X is coming to Nepal soon.

Sharda Group will be the authorized distributor for Zeekr vehicles in Nepal. As the first product, Zeekr X is all set to be launched at the NADA Auto Show 2024. 

Zeekr, owned by Geely Automobile Holdings is a Chinese automotive company. It was founded in 2021 and primarily focuses on developing premium electric cars.

Zeekr X is the third production vehicle from the brand and is built on a modular electric vehicle platform developed by Geely. This platform is called Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). 

Interestingly, the SEA platform has different versions to support various types of vehicles. The Zeekr X is supported by the SEA2 which is a dedicated platform for B to D segment compact cars with a wheelbase up to 2900 mm.

What is the Price of Zeekr X in Nepal?

Zeekr X price in Nepal is not revealed yet.

However, the official launch of Zeekr X will occur at NADA Auto Show 2024.

It will be available across two variants: Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and Privilege All Wheel Drive (AWD).

The Long Range option of the Zeekr X is an entry-level variant that prioritizes cost and range. Meanwhile, the All Wheel Drive variant features a dual-motor setup, offering higher performance at an additional cost but with a lower range.

Design

The front of the Zeekr X stands out with its unique and modern design.

Performance

Zeekr X Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) variant is powered by a 200 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM). It generates a max power of 271.9 PS and a max torque of 343 Nm.

In contrast, the Zeekr X All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) option is powered by a Dual PMSM: 115 kW at the front and 200 kW at the rear. It generates a max power of 428 PS and a max torque of 543 Nm.

Both Variants are supported by a 69 kWh Ternary Lithium Battery that offers a range up to 440 Km (RWD variant) and 400 Km (AWD variant). And, the charging time from 0 to 100% is 10 hours with a 7.2 kW AC charger.

Furthermore, it can charge from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes with a 150kW DC Charger.

While both variants can reach a top speed of 190 Km/h, the AWD variant can do 0-100 Km/h in just 3.8 seconds, the RWD variant takes 5.6 seconds.

Additional Details

McPherson Strut and Five-Link Independent suspension systems handle the suspension duties.

The dimensions are 4432 mm in length, 1836 mm in width, and 1566 mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase is 2750 mm.

The ground clearance is 175 mm for the RWD variant and 170 mm for the AWD variant. And, the kerb weight is 1855 kg for the RWD variant and 1960 Kg for the AWD variant.

It includes a 362-liters boot space which can be expanded to 1182 liters.

Talking about competition, Zeekr X will give a good competition to Avatr 11.

The Avatr 11 and Zeekr X, two highly anticipated luxury electric crossover SUVs, are making their way to Nepal.

Looking at the performance figures, the Avatr 11 clearly has the upper hand in both variants, with 312 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque in the RWD variant, and 578 PS of power and 650 Nm of torque in the AWD variant. It also features a larger 90 kWh battery, supporting a higher range.

In comparison, the Zeekr X offers a maximum power of 271.9 PS and a torque of 343 Nm in the RWD variant, and a maximum power of 428 PS and a torque of 543 Nm in the AWD variant, with a 69 kWh battery.

However, the Zeekr X has its strong points, particularly in terms of kerb weight, which is around 300 kg lighter than the Avatr 11, regardless of the variant.

Additionally, the overall dimensions and wheelbase of the Avatr 11 make it more of an executive car compared to the more compact dimensions of the Zeekr X.
