Yamaha MT 15 V2 Overview

Design

The MT 15 Version 2.0 continues to embody the “Dark Warrior of Japan” theme with a striking front section.

The intimidating Bi-Functional LED headlight remains, complemented by Twin-LED DRLs for enhanced visibility.

Unlike the previous model, the V2 features an updated headlight design with color accents on the predator’s eyes.

The side indicators are LED same as the current model.

Furthermore, golden front forks add a touch of premium quality which is the new Upside Down Suspension System.

Performance

Yamaha MT 15 BS6 is powered by a 155cc Single-Cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, Liquid-Cooled, SOHC FI engine. It can generate a max power of 18.4PS at 10000 rpm and a max torque of 14.1Nm at 7500 rpm.

Additionally, it is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an Assist & Slipper Clutch (ASC). The fuel tank capacity remains the same at 10 liters.

While the power remains unchanged, the torque has seen a slight improvement. The previous model produced 13.9 Nm at 8500 rpm, whereas the new 2.0 delivers 14.1 Nm at a lower rpm of 7500.

Furthermore, the Version 2.0 features a new Aluminum Swing Arm, USD Forks and Traction Control System which are important updates from the previous model.

However, the addition of these features has made Version 2.0 more expensive than its predecessor.
