Samsung, the global leader in smartphone market share as per the IDC’s report, recently refreshed its M series of smartphones with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy M14 LTE. The smartphone has arrived in Nepal and is priced in the budget category.

Samsung recently unveiled its latest addition to the Galaxy M series of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy M14. The device sports a triple-camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, PLS LCD display, and 5000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy M14 LTE Overview

Design

The Galaxy M14 LTE has the back panel and the side rails made out of plastic. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right and volume buttons above the fingerprint sensor.

You will find the USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the mono speaker grille at the bottom. The phone comes in two colors: Blue and Dark Blue.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy M14 LTE’s display is a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel that has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Samsung’s decision to choose a PLS display over an IPS display, although very similar, was to provide a slightly brighter screen than a screen with a better viewing angle.

Powering the Samsung Galaxy M14 LTE is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G CPU. The chip is an octa-core processor that has 4x 2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold high-performance cores and 4x 1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver efficiency cores. The graphics of the device are handled by an Adreno 610 graphics processor.

The M14 LTE smartphone comes in 4/64GB and 6/126GB memory configurations. It supports memory expansion through a dedicated microSD card slot. The smartphone comes with Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy M14 LTE comes with a triple rear camera setup. Of the three, the main camera is a 50MP camera, and the macro and the depth cameras are 2MP lenses. The rear camera can shoot videos up to 1080p at 60fps.

On the front, the selfie camera is a 13MP lens surrounded by a teardrop notch. The camera is capable of shooting videos up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery. The battery charges through a USB-C port at up to 25W of power. Samsung Nepal is providing a 25W charger for free with every purchase of a Galaxy M14 LTE.
