realme P4 Lite Arrives in Nepal With a 6,600mAh Battery and 120Hz Display

realme has officially launched the P4 Lite in Nepal. The phone arrives alongside the realme P4 and P4x, bringing the family to four members in Nepal.

The P series is known for launching at aggressive prices like the P3 and P3 Ultra. The first P4 phone to arrive here was the P4 Power, which went all out with pricing as well.

With this P4 lineup, realme is clearly trying to bring the series to a wider audience, including buyers who don’t want to spend much on a smartphone.

So, where does the P4 Lite fit into the lineup? Let’s take a look at its price in Nepal.

At this price, the P4 Lite enters a pretty competitive budget segment, where buyers have plenty of alternatives to choose from. Its large battery and 120Hz display look promising on paper, but the entry-level chipset and basic camera setup leave us with a few questions.

So, let’s take a closer look at what the phone brings to the table and whether it gets the important things right.

realme P4 Lite Overview

Starting with the design, the realme P4 Lite has flat edges and rounded corners, following the same design language we’ve seen on countless smartphones lately. It’s clean and modern, sure, but there’s hardly anything here that makes it instantly recognisable.

The rear is equally familiar, with an iPhone-inspired camera housing and a fingerprint-resistant finish to keep those pesky smudges under control. It is IP64 rated, which is quite disappointing.

The phone comes in two colour options in Nepal: Pulse Purple and Titan Grey.

Moving to the display, the realme P4 Lite gets a rather generous 6.8-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 900 nits HBM.

However, the 254 PPI  is a bit of a letdown for such a large screen. A Full HD+ panel would have made text, images, and videos look considerably sharper. So, you get the smoothness, but not quite the crispness.

There’s also realme’s Mini Capsule feature, which brings notifications around the front camera cutout.

Under the hood, the realme P4 Lite is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, built on a 12nm process. Now, the T7250 is an entry-level 4G chipset, so let’s keep our expectations in check.

The bigger problem, however, is the competition. In a similar price range, Vivo Y31d, which costs even less, packs a Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 4G chipset. Also, the Redmi 17 4G brings a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 at an even lower price.

As for memory, the Nepal variant gets 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The use of eMMC storage instead of faster UFS storage is another compromise worth noting, particularly when the competition has started offering UFS 2.2.

Moving to the cameras, the realme P4 Lite gets an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. Realme could have done much better here.

For context, spending another Rs. 2,000 on the P4x gets you a 50MP main camera. Meanwhile, the Redmi 17 5G and Vivo Y31d also bring 50MP rear cameras and 8MP selfie shooters at similar prices.

Moving to the battery, the realme P4 Lite packs a 6,600mAh battery and supports just 15W wired charging. On the software front, the realme P4 Lite runs Android 16 with realme UI.

The realme P4 Lite has a few things going for it, including a large 6,600mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and the latest Android 16 software. For everyday use, it should get the basics done without much fuss.

But here’s the problem: at this price point, it is asking buyers to overlook quite a few compromises. The Unisoc T7250 feels dated next to similarly priced competitors, the 8MP rear camera is underwhelming, and 15W charging is painfully slow for a phone with such a large battery.

Still, the P4 Lite makes sense for budget-conscious buyers who prioritise battery life and a smooth display over gaming and photography.

Those willing to spend another Rs. 2,000 can consider the P4x for its better camera, larger battery, and faster charging. But if Rs. 31,999 is your spending limit, the P4 Lite offers a reasonably accessible way into the P4 lineup.
