This time, Realme is bringing in two smartphones, the Realme 15T and the Realme 15 Pro. And in this article, we’ll be focusing mainly on the Pro variant, which is shaping up to be the more exciting one of the duo.

The previous generation of Realme’s numbered series didn’t quite hit the mark, with underwhelming specs and pricing that felt a little off. But with the Realme 15 Pro, things might finally be changing. This time around, Realme seems to have a genuine shot at delivering one of the best value-for-money smartphones in its class… or at least, that’s how it looks on paper.

It checks almost all the right boxes for an upper mid-range device, with specs that seem more than capable. Now, all that’s left is for Realme Nepal to get the pricing right, and they might just have a real winner on their hands.

But what exactly does the phone bring to the table? Let’s find out.

realme 15 Pro Overview

Compared to last year’s Realme 14 Pro, which sported a circular camera module, the Realme 15 Pro takes a complete 180° turn in design. This time, Realme has gone with a rectangular camera island, which is more in line with the standard Realme 14

The back panel is made of polycarbonate and curved around the edges for better grip. There’s also a vegan leather variant.

What’s even more impressive is how thin the phone is, under 8mm, despite packing a massive battery. Realme somehow managed to squeeze in a full-fledged 7,000mAh cell, complemented by 80W Ultra Charging support.

Up front, the Realme 15 Pro flaunts a 6.8-inch 4D curved OLED display. The panel has a 1.5K resolution, which is a clear win over rivals like the Vivo V60. The refresh rate has also been bumped up to 144Hz, while brightness is bumped to 1800 nits in HBM mode.

Under the hood, the phone runs on Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, paired with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

As for the cameras, Realme has made some notable upgrades. There are two 50MP sensors at the back, one primary and one ultrawide. The ultra-wide camera is surrounded by a pulse light that doubles as a notification indicator, while the third cutout is purely aesthetic.

The only major omission here is the lack of a telephoto lens, which feels like a miss at this price point. Then again, even Samsung’s semi-flagships don’t have one. On the front, you get another 50MP sensor for selfies.

Lastly, Realme has added plenty of AI tricks this year. One of them is the new AI Party Mode, which supposedly enhances skin tones, improves low-light shots, and adds dynamic lighting effects.

As I said, with specs like these, the Realme 15 Pro has a solid shot at going head-to-head with rivals like the Vivo V60 and Samsung Galaxy A56, and possibly coming out on top. It’s got a capable processor, an excellent battery setup, and a display that easily holds its own.

Where it could’ve done better is in the camera department, especially with the absence of a telephoto lens, something buyers increasingly expect at this price point. Still, the rest of the package looks really promising.

That said, everything now depends on how Realme prices it. If they manage to keep things reasonable, the 15 Pro could be one of the most balanced upper mid-range phones of the year. But if Realme decides to go bold with pricing, as they sometimes do, it might lose some of that charm.
