Design

Black Shark 3 is a gaming phone and it looks like one. Black Shark 3 has a symmetric design giving it a good grip and handling for gaming. The Black Shark 3 is both vertically and horizontally symmetrical on the back.

The back of the Black Shark 3 is curved and has two diamond shapes that are slightly raised to support your hands. So you can easily control your device no matter how you hold it. The frame and back are made of aluminum.

It comes with master touch 3.0 gives you two extra pressure-sensitive hotkeys for more actions with just a simple press on the screen.

Since it’s a gaming phone, it comes with a cooling system of its own called the “Sandwich” liquid cooling system. This new cooling system is said to improve cooling efficiency by 50% over previous black shark phones.

In terms of the camera, it has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor.

The main 64MP sensor is a Samsung Bright S5KGW1 sensor which is found on the likes of Samsung Galaxy M31 and Realme 6.

On the front, it has a 20MP sensor for selfies. It can capture videos up to 4k@60 fps from the rear camera and up to 1080p@30fps from the front camera.

Battery

The Black Shark 3 features a dual battery (4720 mAh) system with series charging and parallel discharging. The series charging enables super-fast 65W hyper charging while the parallel discharging provides extra battery life for longer use.

The 65W fast charging can provide 50% battery in 12 mins and 100% in 38 mins. Additionally, it also has an 18W magnetic charger on the rear for uninterrupted gaming while charging. But, you will need to buy it separately.

Furthermore, it runs on JOYUI 11 on top of Android 10.

You will get a good gaming experience with the Black Shark 3 and this is definitely for gamers only. But if you want a higher refresh rate and better camera you can consider the likes of OnePlus 8 Pro.
