The next-generation Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 has officially launched in Nepal. This update introduces meaningful quality-of-life improvements that address several shortcomings of the previous model. While the price has increased, the overall value proposition has also improved.

Hansraj Hulaschand & Co., the authorized distributor of Bajaj bikes in Nepal, has introduced the updated Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 as a more feature-rich option in the lineup. It now sits higher in both equipment and price compared to the earlier version.

The Pulsar NS 125 continues to draw design inspiration from the larger NS family. While it shares styling cues and chassis elements with its elder siblings, it differs in engine configuration, features, and tyre profile.

However, the earlier NS 125 struggled to match the popularity of its bigger counterparts in the Nepali market. It was often seen as a toned-down version of the NS series rather than a dedicated sporty commuter, which limited its appeal in a competitive 125cc segment.

Bajaj appears to have addressed this with the latest update.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 carries forward the familiar NS design language. Despite being the smallest in the NS lineup, it does not look entry-level. It retains an aggressive stance, defined by a muscular fuel tank and bold 3D Pulsar branding.

Signature elements such as the wolf-eyed headlamp design, split-type LED tail lamp, and sporty split-seat remain unchanged, now complemented by subtle “125” badging. The latest update introduces a reflector-based LED headlamp similar to the NS 200. There are no mechanical updates to the NS 125. It continues to use the same 125cc engine based on Bajaj’s 4-valve technology. Performance figures remain unchanged. However, its kerb weight is still on the heavier side compared to most rivals in the segment.

One notable addition is the inclusion of three ABS modes: Rain, Road, and Off-road. These are not riding modes, as they do not alter engine performance.
