All the way back in November 2025, we got to see the first phone in the A6 series, the A6 Pro. Six months later, OPPO launched the fourth member of the lineup, the OPPO A6c.
While the A6c was not the best value for money overall, it was the best value of any A-series phone from OPPO. But it has not even been a month since launch, and the A6c has already gotten more expensive. And on a side note, we are also getting a 128GB variant, not that anyone asked.

The A6c shares a similar naming pattern to the A6x, but where does it actually stand? Is it above the A6x? Or does it even rival the standard A6? Well, let’s find out.
What is the Price of OPPO A6c in Nepal?
The OPPO A6c launched at Rs. 20,999 for the sole 4/64GB variant, a fair bit lower than what we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. However, as we approach the end of July, the price has gone up by Rs. 2,000. And alongside the price hike, a new 4/128GB variant has also been introduced. That brings the OPPO A6c price in Nepal to Rs. 22,999 for the 4/64GB variant and Rs. 30,999 for the 4/128GB variant.
Sadly, this may not be the last price hike either. OPPO has already bumped the price on the A6, and the brand has a habit of launching phones at prices higher than rivals. So, further price increases down the line would not be surprising.
That said, if you are looking to pick one up, both variants are available at OPPO authorized stores across the country.
The OPPO A6c sits at the bottom of the A6 lineup, and as I mentioned earlier, it is the fourth A6 phone to enter Nepal. But if you head over to GSMArena and search “OPPO A6,” more than 10 variants of the A6 lineup will pop up.
This was not the case last year with the OPPO A5. There was just the A5, A5 Pro, and A5x. Clean and simple.
So the real question is, will we eventually see an OPPO A6 Pro Max? An OPPO A6 Mini? Or is it already out there? At this rate, who knows?
Anyway, enough chit chat. Let’s get into the overview.
OPPO A6c Overview

The OPPO A6c, being a budget smartphone, has that classic budget look: a plastic back and a flat plastic frame. The camera island takes a subtle nod from the iPhone’s popular triangular arrangement, with two cameras and an LED flash sitting within what looks like a camera plateau.
But unlike a true plateau, there is no actual elevation; it is purely a design detail painted on, giving the illusion of depth without any of it.

What is instantly noticeable, though, is the thickness. At 8.9mm, it will definitely feel like a brick in your pocket, and it is the bulkiest phone in the entire A6 lineup available in Nepal. But with a chunky 7,000mAh battery inside, that thickness is somewhat expected.
That said, phones like the Realme 15T manage a 7,000mAh battery in just 7.7mm, so the extra bulk is not entirely justified.

The phone also supports reverse wired charging at 5W over USB-C, a small but handy addition. To charge the massive battery, however, you only get 15W, which is not fast charging by any stretch. Better get used to waiting.
The phone ships in Feather White and Stone Brown. There is also a Feather Purple variant that looks unique, but sadly, that is not coming to Nepal.
The display is nothing new, a 6.75-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, the same setup you will find on the OPPO A6 and A6x.

The Unisoc T7250 powering the A6c, which is essentially a rebranded T615, should handle the HD+ panel with minimal strain. For those unfamiliar, the same chip is found on popular budget phones like the Redmi A7 and Infinix Smart 10. Nothing exciting, but not terrible either.
The phone ships with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, along with a dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 2TB of expansion.
The camera runs the same setup as the A6x, a 13MP main shooter with a 5MP selfie camera. Basic, expected, and nothing to write home about.

OPPO has also thrown in an AI Eraser feature that lets you remove unwanted people or objects from your photos. OPPO says the photos taken from the 13MP on the A6c can be bumped to an equivalent of 50MP through software upscaling in HI-RES mode, though I would take such a marketing tactic with a grain of salt. After all, it does not have a 50MP sensor, so it’s not really 50MP.
OPPO launched the phone in April, so I thought it would ship with Android 16. But here we are with Android 15 wrapped with ColorOS 15 on top, which, with Android 17 just around the corner, feels noticeably outdated.

The OPPO A6c sits at the bottom of the A6 lineup, packs a 7,000mAh battery, a clean design, and a capable enough chip. But OPPO will likely not make a splash with the A6c as it did with the A5x.
That’s because the OPPO A5x was a surprisingly well-rounded package and was priced pretty well, too. But that’s not the case with A6c. The price hike also does not help.
It has similar specs to the Redmi A7 Pro, but costs a few thousand extra. And in a price-sensitive segment of Rs. 20,000, that’s enough for people to turn their heads elsewhere.
