It’s been over two years since Poco last launched a phone in Nepal. The Poco X5 Pro, released in May 2023, was the brand’s last appearance. But during this silence, fans have been asking for Poco’s return. And it’s finally returning with the Poco X7 Pro, Poco F7, and Poco F8 Pro.

In this article, I will be solely talking about the Poco X7 Pro. And this isn’t just another midrange launch, it’s a comeback.
What is the price of the Poco X7 Pro in Nepal?
The Poco X7 Pro price in Nepal is expected to start from Rs. 41,999 (8/256GB) and may range up to Rs. 44,999 (12/256GB). The Poco X7 Pro is almost a year-old phone and is available in most of the global market, while the Nepali market could see the Poco X7 Pro arrive sometime between mid to late January.
Now, that pricing might seem a little steep at first glance. But with the US dollar continuing to rise and the ongoing AI boom driving up RAM and storage costs, smartphone components are becoming more expensive across the board. Because of this, we could be looking at a 10–20% price hike across smartphones this year.
The demand for brands like Poco makes sense because they deliver pure value-for-money products, a key product feature for Nepali consumers. It started with the Poco F1, which was an instant hit that put Poco on the map in Nepal. It delivered flagship-level performance at a price that shocked the market. That legacy is why expectations still exist today.
The scene has changed since then; brands like CMF and Infinix have entered the market, with Infinix especially known for delivering pure value. Competition is tougher than ever.
So the real question is: can Poco recreate that magic, and how does the Poco X7 Pro fit into that comeback? Let’s find out.
Poco X7 Pro Overview
The design of the Poco X7 Pro is kept simple. There’s a pill-shaped camera module on the rear with vertically stacked sensors. The rear panel features a dual-texture design, transitioning from polished to matte. Also, the signature yellow version has an eco-leather finish.
The phone is completely flat with a flat plastic frame and a flat display protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. And it is also the first Poco phone with IP68 water resistance. But it also has an IP69-rated version in some markets.

Poco X7 Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a screen resolution of 1220 x 2170 pixels, 12-bit color depth, and 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
Poco claims 1400 nits HBM and 3200 nits peak brightness, which is a modest display spec for 2025. Furthermore, it also has a 480Hz touch sampling rate and 1920Hz PWM Dimming.

Under the hood, the X7 Pro features the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, also seen on the likes of Xiaomi 15T.

The phone is available in two RAM configurations: 8GB and 12GB paired with 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of cameras, the Poco X7 Pro has a dual camera setup on the rear featuring a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera. Likewise, it has a 20MP front camera for selfies.
The main camera sensor used on the Poco X7 Pro is Sony IMX 882 and is capable of capturing 4k/60 fps video with OIS and EIS.
The battery has been massively upgraded on the Poco X7 Pro to 6000mAh, first time on a Poco X-series smartphone. Likewise, it supports 90W HyperCharge with a 90W charger in the box.
The phone runs on HyperOS 2 and Android 15. Poco also promises at least 3 years of major OS updates and 4 years of security updates, which is decent for a mid-range smartphone.

Poco X7 Pro has definitely grown old, but it does pack a serious punch. From its clean design and Dolby Vision AMOLED display to the flagship-level Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, capable cameras, and a massive 6000mAh battery with 90W charging, it’s clear Poco’s comeback is strong.
Sure, it skips a telephoto lens, and HyperOS isn’t exactly a premium software experience. But when it comes to raw value for money, the X7 Pro delivers, and that’s exactly what Poco fans have been waiting for. At this price point, there’s simply no other smartphone that offers a similar hardware package.
