If you know the V series, you know it’s all about cameras. Vivo has even teamed up with Zeiss since the V50 series, giving the lineup some serious credibility. But here’s the catch, the “Lite” models never get the same royal treatment. They’re exactly what the name suggests: lighter, toned-down, and not as exciting. And judging by the V60 Lite, that tradition continues.

The recently launched V50 Lite series already felt a bit pricey for what they brought to the table. To make up for that, the V60 Lite 5G comes with a shiny new chipset and an upgraded display. Sounds good, right? But then… the camera? Yeah, that part didn’t get the memo, it’s basically the same. Meanwhile, the 4G variant? Its upgrades are even smaller but at least it is getting a new camera sensor.

Alright, enough with the teasing, let’s dive in and see exactly how the V50 Lite series stacks up against its predecessor.

Vivo V60 Lite Overview

Familiar But Cleaner Design

Vivo basically hit Copy & Paste on the V60’s design for the V60 Lite. The vertical camera module steals the spotlight, now rocking a look that screams “iPhone 17, OnePlus Nord CE 5, and a whole lot of other Androids.” At this point, who’s copying who? Your guess is as good as mine.

The Aura Light has finally stepped out of the camera module which makes the V60 Lite look way cleaner than the V50 Lite. Sure, the V50 Lite had a unique vibe, but this new layout feel sharper and more put-together.

The V60 Lite sticks with a flat plastic frame and a plastic back, but it’s now 0.2mm slimmer than the V50 Lite, measuring 7.59mm. Everything else? Pretty much the same. The power button, fingerprint sensor, and all the usual suspects around the frame haven’t moved an inch.

With the new design i was expecting an IP68 rating but it is still stuck at IP65 Rating.

Moving on the V50 Lite 4G is available in two colors: Titanium Blue and Titanium Black. Meanwhile the 5G variant has three color options: Vitality Pink, Titanium Mist Blue, and Ocean Night Black.

Camera Upgrades

Beyond the new camera module design, the Vivo V60 Lite 5G keeps the same camera sensors as before. Both variants pack a 50MP IMX882 main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. For the 4G model, this is actually a nice upgrade as the V50 Lite 4G didn’t even have an ultrawide lens.

That said, I would have loved to see a telephoto camera on the 5G variant, especially since the V60 full version already has one. Looks like Vivo decided to keep things “Lite” in more ways than one. Aside this, V60 Lite 5G also gets 4K video recording support thanks to the upgraded chipset, V60 Lite 4G still maxes out at 1080p.

The front camera hasn’t changed either. Both variants come with a 32MP selfie shooter.

What’s really new? Well, the AI wave has officially hit the V60 Lite. The AI Image Studio gets a solid upgrade with AI Four-Season Portrait feature. It is a cool trick reserved for the V60 Lite 5G. It magically adds virtual elements to your real-world photos, turning a single snapshot into scenes with seasonal backdrops, unique color palettes, and atmospheric effects.

Likewise, the V60 Lite is equipped with AI Aura Light Portrait 3.0. This redesigned AI Aura Light promises 100% brighter output and a larger, softer illumination.

Display Boost

The V60 Lite steps up its display game, especially the 5G variant. While it still sports the same 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, it now boasts 10-bit color depth and HDR 10+ support.

The 4G variant isn’t left completely behind, it gets the 10-bit color upgrade but misses out on the HDR support. Peak brightness remains the same at 1800 nits peak.

The variable refresh rate switch is the same as before, V60 Lite can switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz based on content. Also, it retains the same stereo speaker setup as before.

Upgraded Chipset

One of the standout upgrades on the V60 Lite 5G is the Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset. It’s a brand-new chip from MediaTek but it’s pretty similar to the Dimensity 7300. Still, it’s a notable step up from the Dimensity 6300 found in the V50 Lite.

The V60 Lite 5G also gets a speed boost in the memory department. You’re looking at 256GB of faster UFS 3.1 storage, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

On the flip side, the V60 Lite 4G is still stuck with a Snapdragon 685 chipset, 256GB of slower UFS 2.2 storage, and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Isn’t it time we give some rest to the immortal Snapdragon 685?

Big Battery but Same OS

The V50 Lite’s biggest bragging right was its battery, and thankfully, Vivo didn’t mess with a good thing. Both the V60 Lite 4G and 5G pack a massive 6500mAh battery backed by 90W fast charging.

This feat is even more impressive when you realize the V60 Lite is slimmer than the V50 Lite. Packing a 6500mAh battery into a 7.59mm frame? Hats off to Vivo for pulling it off.

Talking about the software, V60 Lite comes with Android 15 and Funtouch OS out of the box. The downside? Vivo is still keeping quiet about software update support. Instead, the company is promising “5 years of smooth experience” which sounds nice, but not as nice as “5 years of software upgrade”.

Vivo V60 Lite Price in Nepal and Availability

The Vivo V60 Lite price in Nepal is expected to be Rs. 38,999 (8/256GB) and Rs. 47,999 (12/256GB) respectively for the 4G and 5G variant.

Since Vivo recently bumped up the price of the regular V60, it’s safe to expect the V60 Lite to follow suit with a slight markup compared to the V50 Lite, especially the 5G variant, given all its extra upgrades.

As for the launch? You won’t have to wait long. The V60 Lite should be landing in Nepal in just a couple of weeks.

Vivo V50 Lite Price in Nepal
4G 8/256GB Rs. 38,999
5G 12/256GB Rs. 47,999

The Vivo V60 Lite isn’t a massive leap over the V50 Lite. The 4G variant feels like a slightly upgraded remix, now with the bonus of an ultrawide sensor. The 5G version, on the other hand, is more of a “Lite Pro” packing a better-performing chipset, faster storage, and some AI tricks to keep things exciting.

But here’s the catch, even with these improvements, the V60 Lite isn’t going to come cheap. And that, more than anything else, could be its biggest drawback. After all, “Lite” in Vivo’s dictionary doesn’t always mean light on your wallet.
