Yamaha Aerox 155 Launch is Happening in Nepal: Expected for NADA Auto Show 2022!

Yamaha Aerox 155 is coming soon to Nepal.

MAW Enterprises, the authorized distributor of Yamaha two-wheelers in Nepal, is currently working to introduce the highly-popular Yamaha Aerox 155.

Yamaha Aerox 155 is the latest Yamaha maxi-scooter to launch in Nepal.

Aerox 155 is similar to the Yamaha NMax 155.

Both share the underpinning engine with the iconic Yamaha R15. However, Aerox sports a more aggressive and muscular styling.

As for the pricing, Yamaha Aerox 155 price in India starts at INRs. 1.29 Lakhs.

Yamaha Nepal is planning to introduce the new Aerox at the NADA Auto Show 2022. Although the details are not yet confirmed, that is highly likely to happen.

With that said, let’s take a quick look at the upcoming Yamaha Aerox 155 in Nepal along with its key specifications.

Yamaha Aerox 155 Overview

Design

Yamaha Aerox 155 is a maxi-scooter.

It is built on a “Heart-Shaking Speedster” design concept. Moreover, it sports a large body size with athletic proportions and an X center motif.

That stylistic approach can be found everywhere.

The front section comes with a LED Headlight and LED DRLs. Moreover, the side indicator has been integrated into the body.

While the rear section also gets a compact LED tail lamp, the rear side indicators are protruded.

Other interesting elements include a two-level seat, a front pocket with a power socket, and a multi-function key switch.

Furthermore, it sports an external fuel lid at the front and an integrated grab rail at the rear.

Yamaha Aerox is available in three colors: Blue, Grey Vermillion, and MotoGP Edition.

Performance

Yamaha Aerox is powered by a 155cc, Single-Cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, Liquid-Cooled, SOHC engine. It can generate a max power of 15PS at 8000rpm and a max torque of 13.9Nm at 6500rpm.

Moreover, it is mated to a V-belt automatic transmission with a 5.5-liter fuel tank capacity.

The engine has been carried over from the Yamaha R15. So, it will be the most powerful scooter in its segment!

Additionally, it features the Variable Valve Actuation technology (VVA) and a Single-Channel ABS.

Additional Details

The suspension duties are handled by a Telescopic fork at the front and a Unit Swing at the rear.

The dimensions are 1980mm in length, 700mm in width, and 1150mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 1350mm.

Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with a 145mm ground clearance. And, the kerb weight is 126kg.

Surprisingly, it sports a massive 24.5-liter massive under-seat storage.

Yamaha Aerox 155 Price in Nepal and Availability

As for the pricing, Yamaha Aerox 155 price in India starts at INRs. 1.29 Lakhs. Unfortunately, it is still too early to predict its price in Nepal.

Considering the previously launched NMAX 155 (priced at Rs. 4.69 Lakhs), Aerox is an improvement in all aspects. However, Aerox does miss out on a Dual-Disc option as well as Dual-Channel ABS.

Nevertheless, the Aerox 155 will be the premium offering. So, it will likely feature a price tag of around Rs. 4.50 Lakhs – Rs. 5 Lakhs.

Again, this is just speculation on my part. Take it with a grain of salt.

Nevertheless, Yamaha Nepal has confirmed its intention to bring Aerox! The company is planning to introduce the product at the NADA Auto Show 2022.
