Xiaomi Mi 10i Price in Nepal: RAM and Camera

Xiaomi has launched a new device called Mi 10i in India. And it is expected that Xiaomi will launch Mi 10i in Nepal as well.

Mi 10i is the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. It has the same design and same hardware but unlike the Note 9 Pro 5G, the Mi 10i is manufactured in India as part of the Make in India initiative.

Mi 10i’s highlight feature is the inclusion of Samsung’s 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor. What else it has to offer? Let’s check it out!

Xiaomi Mi 10i Overview

Design

Mi 10i has the same design as the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. It has a circular camera module with a quad-camera setup on the rear. The rear panel is made out of glass and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

On the front, it has a hole punch design right in the middle of the screen. The hole punch cutout seems o be quite small. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the power button itself. It comes in three colors: Pacific Sunrise, Midnight Black, Atlantic Blue.

Display

Mi 10i comes with the same display size as the Redmi Note 9 Pro at 6.67 inches. But the major difference here is the inclusion of a 120Hz IPS LCD FHD+ panel. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 as well.

They are calling it the Intelligent Adaptive Sync Display which has 6 different refresh rates to switch between. The display will adjust the frame rate from 30Hz – 120Hz according to the content. There’s an 8.3 ms difference between frames and the display has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

Hardware

Mi 10i packs a powerful chipset in Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. Along with that, it comes in three memory configurations: 6/128GB, 8/128GB, 6/64GB (will come later). It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 Storage.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G is an 8nm 5G ready chipset with octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 570 & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 570) CPU and Adreno 619 GPU.

Snapdragon 750G offers a 20% increment in CPU performance and a 10% increment in GPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 730G chipset. It comes with an integrated 5G chipset as well.

For better thermal performance, Mi 10i is equipped with 11 different sensors. Xiaomi is using Dual_Frequency GPS that uses both L1 & L5 signals to improve navigation. And, it comes with Multi-Function NFC along with a stereo speaker setup.

Camera

Just like the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, Mi 10i features a Quad camera system on the rear. The main sensor here is the 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor from Samsung. This was introduced in the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and it uses 9 in 1 pixel binning (nona-binning). This sensor is said to be slimmer than the previous sensor which results in a 10% smaller camera bump.

Along with this, Mi 10i has an 8MP ultrawide angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.

On the front, there is a 16MP camera for selfies. The front camera can capture videos up to 4k 30fps whereas the front camera can capture videos up to 1080p 30fps.

Battery

Mi 10i comes with a 4820 mAh battery and 33W fast charging. The 33W charger can charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 58 mins.

Xiaomi is using MMT technology which uses dual split charging with 2 parallel pathways. Furthermore, it runs on MIUI 12 on top of Android 10.

Mi 10i is now available in India for INR 21,999 (6/128GB) and INR 23,999 (8/128GB). The 6/64GB variant is supposed to be available at a later date for INR 20,999. So, the 6GB variant of the Mi 10i costs 35,202 NPR in India.

So, we expect Mi 10i price in Nepal to be around Rs. 39,000. We know that Xiaomi has been aggressive in Nepal and I hope they will be aggressive with the pricing of Mi 10i.

Mi 10i is an absolute banger of a phone with top-notch performance. The 5G ready Snapdragon 750G chipset for its price is really cool and it has a 108MP main camera sensor.

Yeah, the rest of the camera sensors do not look appealing but it’s fine. Well, I can’t wait to get my hands on the Mi 10i. I hope Mi Nepal will launch the device as soon as possible.
