Vivo has launched a new Vivo Y22 phone in Nepal. It is a budget phone from Vivo that was first released in Indonesia earlier this month.
The Vivo Y22 price in Nepal is Rs. 22,999 (4/64GB). The phone is available for purchase at Vivo-authorised stores across Nepal.
The company also launched the Vivo Y35 alongside the Y22. The Y22 comes with a MediaTek MediaHelio G85 chipset and a 50MP camera. In this article, we will go through the specifications and features of Vivo Y22.

Design
The Vivo Y22 comes in two colours, namely Starlit Blue and Metaverse Green. Both have a matte plastic finish, but the latter has geometric patterns on it. It has a huge, somewhat square camera island that has two camera circles and a flash.
Both power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device. The power button also serves as a fingerprint sensor. The bottom side has a 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker.
The phone has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.

Display
The phone has a 6.55-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution. It refreshes at the standard 60Hz.
Vivo says that the display has a maximum brightness of 530nits. The display has a waterdrop notch.
Hardware
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It is two years chipset built on a 12nm chipset. It has two 2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 cores, six 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 cores, and a Mali-G52 GPU.
It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Camera
The phone has a dual rear camera system comprising a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera.
There is an 8MP front-facing camera in the waterdrop notch. The phone is capable of recording up to 1080p video at 30fps.
Battery and OS
Fueling the phone is a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
In terms of software, it runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.
