The Tecno Spark Go 1 was quite a phone when it launched last year. If my memory serves me right, it was the most affordable phone to have a 120Hz display at the time.

Now, the Redmi A5 offers the same fluidity at an even cheaper price, so the novelty the Sparko GO 1 had is no more. But the phone has now been succeeded by the Tecno Spark Go 2, and it has something interesting up its sleeve!
What is the price of the Tecno Spark Go 2 in Nepal?
The Tecno Spark Go 2 price in Nepal is Rs. 11,499, Rs. 12,499, and Rs. 13,499 for the 3/64GB, 4/64GB, and 4/128GB variants, respectively.
It does not look like any offers are running on this phone. However, Tecno Mobile Nepal is hosting a contest on their social media, where you could leave a comment, tag three of your friends, and get a chance to “win exciting prizes”.
What exactly these prizes are hasn’t been disclosed, but it’s plausible that the winners could get the Tecno Spark Go 2 itself.

Skimming through the spec sheet of the phone, Tecno Spark Go 2 isn’t all that different from Go 1. Almost all the key specs remain unchanged.
However, that does not mean there are no changes at all. There are a few, one of which definitely caught my eye. Let’s get into the details of all that in this article:
Tecno Spark Go 2 Overview
First things first, the design has changed. I actually liked the design of the Tecno Spark Go 1 for being unique. But this time, Tecno probably thought, let’s keep things simple and copy whatever iPhone 17 looks like.
But it’s giving me more Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge-vibe than iPhone. The phone is now IP64-rated, up a notch from IP54 last year. Then there are four colour options; let’s just say Black, Grey, White, and Green for simplicity.

The Tecno Spark Go 2 keeps the 120Hz refresh rate heritage alive. I think it would be safe to say the company has slapped the same display as the last phone on the new one, as it is still a 6.67-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution. Nothing changed, really.
We can see the same thing on the rest of the hardware, too. The chipset is UNISOC T7250, which sounds like a different chip from last year’s UNISOC T615. But it isn’t. It’s the same thing; it’s just that UNISOC pretty much rebranded its whole lineup, and T615 is now T7250.
We are getting the Tecno Spark Go 2 in three trims, which I have listed in the price section above and the specs section below. You can double the phone’s memory virtually. And as for storage, the GO 1 had expandable storage support, so it’s safe to assume this one does too.
The cameras, battery, and charging see no changes either. We have a 13MP snapper on the back and an 8MP selfie shooter. The cell capacity is 5,000mAh, which can juice up at a speed of 15W.
As for software, the Tecno Spark Go 2 boots on the newer Android 15 with HiOS skin on top. It’s currently unclear if it’s the full-fledged Android or the Go edition.
FreeLink Feature
I was not thinking much while I was going through this phone, but the “FreeLink” feature section surely caught my attention.
This feature apparently allows you to make phone calls and send messages even when your phone has no cellular reception or internet connection. That too for free! And a good experience of this FreeLink feature can be achieved up to 500 metres in an open and unobstructed area.

Tecno did not clarify how FreeLink works on the Spark Go 2. But by reading the description, the feature sounds very similar to the “BeaconLink” feature we get on Oppo and OnePlus phones. And they use Bluetooth for it.
Given the similarity, I think Tecno might be doing the same. And if that’s the case, the FreeLink feature might be gated the same way as “BeaconLink”, which only works between various Oppo and OnePlus phones.
Whatever the case might be, it’s an interesting feature.

Tecno Spark Go 2 Price in Nepal: Rs. 11,499 (3/64GB) | Rs. 12,499 (4/64GB) | Rs. 13,499 (4/128GB)
With the price of the Tecno Spark Go 2, it is in a weird limbo state, where it is priced too highly to be put in the Rs. 10,000 budget and is quite weak to be competing in the Rs. 15,000 price point.
As it stands, this phone does not fit in a particular mould and sits in a separate bubble alongside offerings like the Smart 10 series from its sister company (Infinix), which also has a very similar spec sheet.
Meanwhile, coming from the Tecno Spark Go 1, differences aren’t much apart from the IP rating, the latest software, and the newly introduced FreeLink feature.
