The new Suzuki Access 125 is coming soon to Nepal. Since its BS6 update nearly three years ago, the Access 125 has seen little change in design or overall offering. That finally shifts with the arrival of its third-generation model.

VG Suzuki, the authorized distributor of Suzuki scooters in Nepal, is preparing to refresh its 125cc lineup for 2026. At present, the Suzuki Avenis 125 is the only 125cc Suzuki scooter available in the market. That is set to change, with two new launches planned this year.
Both the Suzuki Access 125 and the Suzuki Burgman 125 EX are expected to arrive. The Access 125 is likely to launch first, with the Burgman 125 EX following later.
Among the two, the Access 125 receives the more comprehensive update. The third-generation model retains the familiar character of the Access but introduces meaningful changes, including refreshed styling, a revised chassis, engine refinements, and updated features.

The Suzuki Access 125 price in Nepal has not yet revealed. However, it will be available across two variants: Standard – Drum and Special Edition – Disc.
The previous Suzuki Access 125 was priced at Rs. 2.66 Lakhs, positioning it as one of the more affordable yet capable BS6 fuel-injected scooters in the market. With the upcoming updates, a price increase is expected. The key question is how much of a jump buyers will see. Based on the changes, we expect the new variants to be priced between Rs. 2.75 Lakhs and Rs. 3.05 Lakhs.
Suzuki Nepal has not officially confirmed pricing or exact launch dates. However, the company has indicated that the Access 125 is set to launch within the next few months, with a tentative timeline around the end of March.

Suzuki Access 125 Overview
Design
The Suzuki Access 125 continues with its refined, family-oriented design philosophy. It blends subtle chrome elements with clean body lines that prioritize elegance and practicality.
At the front, the Access 125 now features a redesigned LED headlamp with a chrome accent. The front apron has been updated and includes an integrated U-shaped LED DRL. The upper apron remains plastic, while the lower section and fenders are now steel, offering better durability and protection. The indicator housings have been slightly revised, but continue to use halogen units.
Depending on the variant, it gets either oval black mirrors or chrome-finished round mirrors. Overall, the front design feels mature and approachable rather than sporty.

From the side, the scooter retains its smooth, flowing silhouette. The crease lines are now more defined, giving it a slightly sharper and more balanced look. The long, flat seat enhances comfort for both rider and pillion, while the spacious floorboard improves usability. It includes dual open-type front storage pockets and two separate luggage hooks. The Special Edition adds a USB charging port for added convenience.

Wheel design varies by variant. The Special Edition gets blacked-out alloy wheels, while the Standard version comes with steel wheels. Tyre sizes remain unchanged, and both versions feature a low rolling-resistance rear tyre.
At the rear, changes are more noticeable. The previous external chrome fuel filler has been removed and replaced with a body-integrated panel that can now be unlocked via the central lock system. This results in a slightly redesigned tail section with a new compact LED tail lamp neatly integrated into the rounded rear profile.

The instrument cluster does not differ by variant. Both feature a new LCD meter without Bluetooth connectivity.
The Suzuki Access 125 is available in Metallic Mat Black, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, and Pearl Grace White. The Special Edition also gets an exclusive Solid Ice Green colour option.
Performance
Suzuki Access 125 BS6 is powered by a Single-Cylinder, 2-valve, air-cooled, SOHC, FI engine. It can generate a max power of 8.42 PS at 6500rpm and a max torque of 10.2 Nm at 5000rpm. Moreover, it is mated to a CVT transmission and has a 5.3-liter fuel tank.

There are no major changes in outright performance figures, except that peak output now arrives at lower RPMs. This improvement comes from substantial revisions to the internal engine components and supporting hardware.
While the bore and stroke remain unchanged, Suzuki has introduced a new camshaft, crankshaft, and crankcases. The intake cam features higher lift to improve airflow, working with a larger airbox. The exhaust cam timing has been adjusted to reduce overlap, and the second catalytic converter has been removed to make the muffler design more compact.
These changes help the engine breathe more efficiently. They also allow integration of a new starter clutch system, enabling smoother and quieter starts, even in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. In addition, the Access 125 receives updated fuel injectors, revised ECU mapping, and a retuned CVT.
Although the specifications appear similar on paper, these refinements deliver smoother mid-range performance, better fuel efficiency, and lower emissions compared to the previous model.

Additional Details
The suspension setup remains unchanged, with telescopic forks at the front and a mono shock swing arm at the rear. The tyre profile also stays the same, unfortunately, measuring 90/90-12 at the front and 90/100-10 at the rear.
Depending on the variant, the Access 125 is offered with a Disc/Drum setup on the Special Edition, while the Standard variant comes with Drums only config. Both versions continue to feature CBS.
In India, the Access 125 comes with Single-Channel ABS, a revolutionary safety feature in the 125cc scooter segment. However, this variant is unlikely to be available in Nepal anytime soon.
With the updated Highly Rigid Chassis, there are minor dimensional changes. The new model measures 1835mm in length, 690mm in width, and 1155mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1260mm. Compared to the previous version, the length has reduced by 35mm, while the height and wheelbase are down by 5mm. Ground clearance remains unchanged at 160mm.
Kerb weight has increased slightly, by around 3 to 4 kg depending on the variant, now standing at 107 kg for the Standard and 106 kg for the Special Edition.
One of the most welcome improvements is the increase in underseat storage, which now measures 24.4 liters, up by 2.6 litres from before.

Rivals
The Suzuki Access 125 rivals the Honda Dio 125 and Yamaha Ray ZR 125. All three Japanese scooters are known for refined engines, strong fuel efficiency, and long-term reliability.
On paper, they appear closely matched. Each produces around 8 PS and close to 10 Nm, offers Fuel Injection, LED headlamps, and runs a 12-inch / 10-inch wheel setup with optional front disc braking. However, their real-world character sets them apart.
The Yamaha Ray ZR 125 is the lightest and most playful. At 99kg, it feels agile in traffic. The Hybrid Assist System improves initial acceleration, making city riding more responsive. Moreover, Yamaha’s Blue Core technology also helps it deliver strong mileage figures. But the limitation lies in overall build quality, which does not feel as solid over time compared to its rivals.
