Honda Dio 125 Launched in Nepal: Two Variants of the Next Generation Dio!

Honda Dio 125 is officially available in Nepal!

Syakar Trading, the authorized distributor of Honda scooters in Nepal, has officially launched the Honda Dio 125 at the NADA Auto Show 2023.

It may be one of the fastest launches in Nepal, being introduced in the Nepali market so quickly following its Indian launch.

Dio 125 gets an upgrade to a bigger 125cc engine with interesting visual and feature refresh!

By introducing the Dio 125 in this new 125cc category, Honda aims to replicate the remarkable success Dio 110 has achieved in the 110cc segment.

Both variants share the same specs and features. However, the pricer H-Smart variant gets a Wavy Front Disc and Smart Key with many keyless functions.

Following the discontinuation of Honda Grazia in the Indian market, the Honda Dio 125 emerged as a pivotal and highly significant launch for the company.

Honda Dio 125 Overview

Design

The Honda Dio 125 sports a brand-new but familiar design.

The front section gets the iconic LED Headlamp with Integrated Split-LED DRLs. Moreover, the halogen side indicators are mounted on the apron.

Moving on, the side profile highlights the design made familiar by the Honda Grazia.

The cuts and creases give the Honda Dio a sculpted look with even sharper undertones. Plus, the section further highlights its newer Bold Graphics and Dual-tone colors.

Coming to the rear section, it sports the same Jet-styled Tailamp, Halogen Side Indicators, External Fuel Cap, and Spilt Grab Rail as the Grazia.

Even the new all-digital instrument console has been borrowed from the Grazia 125. However, the Dual-Tip Muffler is new!

Honda has made minor changes to the Grazia styling, but the new Honda Dio looks like a mash-up between the Grazia body and Dio headlight.

Additionally, the Honda Dio 125 comes in Blue, Red, Gray, Gray Metallic, Black, Red Metallic, and Blue Metallic colors.

Performance

Honda Grazia 125 is powered by a 123.92cc Single-Cylinder, Fan-Cooled, 4-Stroke, SI Engine. It can generate a max power of 8.28PS at 6250rpm and a max torque of 10.4Nm at 5000rpm.

Moreover, it is mated to a V-Matic transmission with a 5.3-liter fuel tank capacity.

Grazia is equipped with a BS6-compliant PGM-FI engine.

The engine is configured similarly to the outgoing Honda Grazia 125. Hence, the overall riding experience will be familiar.

Along with the HET with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) Technology. Dio 125 will also feature an Automatic Idling Stop System, Silent Start, and Side Stand Engine Cut-Off.

Interestingly enough, the Dio H-Smart variant gets a Smart Key.

It gives riders additional functions like the Smart Safe, Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Start, Battery Indicator, and Smart Key Indicator.

Honda Dio 125 is built on an Underbone frame.

Telescopic forks and 3-Step Adjustable Spring Loaded Hydraulic handle the suspension duties.

Honda Dio 125 features a front Disc and rear Drum configuration. Moreover, there is Combined Braking System (CBS) for added safety.
